fully renovated hotel, friendly staff, good food”

we really enjoyed our stay at emerald garden hotel. The hotel seems to be have just renovated.The purpose was for us to have some rest time. we were able to do that. The staff were extremely friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. we were able to enjoy the buffet breakfast which has a great selection of food. Location is very strategic. i sure to come back again to stay here for my visit to medan to enjoyed the excellent service from this staff's hotel

Fantastic Service and Well Run”

We spent the night at emerald garden hotel medan in a superior room. The room was large and king size bed was very comfortable. The hotel is fairly new renovated., so everthing looks fresh and shinny. The buffet breakfastoffers a wide selection and delicious choice. i wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotelto others travellers. i thought that it offered great value for money

compared to my previous stay in a few other hotels in medan, this hotel is highly recommended if you want rest , relaxation, peace and quiet. my golf trip was very well organized by the hotel staff from transportation to dining. the hotel was also fully equipped with ports and entertainment facilities. i will definitely come back here if i have to travel to medan again.

The hotel location is slightly outskirt of the city is very convenient to travelers who want to get away from the busy traffic and enjoy some peace and quiet time. The lobby is never crowded as compared to other hotels in had stayed before in Medan. The hotel is fully equip with sporting and entertainments facilities. You don't have to go out on the busy road to have fun.

Been to many hotels in Medan before. This hotel is the best in terms of non crowded lobby. Nice and quiet environment with great staff waiting to serve you like a VIP.

Worth the money”

I have stayed in few hotels in Medan previously and this is one of the hotel that I would go back. Spacious room, wide variety of breakfast & value of money. However there is not much things to do within a 5min walking distance, might need to hire a transport to tour around the city.

Comfortable hotel & good service”

reasonably priced hotel along the busiest/main road of medan. capital building is within walking distance to the hotel. two things which i don't really like is: 1. the swimming pool is open to the public. 2. no good local food nearby within walking distance (at least i didn't see any for the few days i stayed there). but given the price, it's worth staying there. the chinese restaurant ho pin court is disappointing as not sure if it's fully opened & the food on offer is limited (didn't eat there in the end).

Excellent hotel with friendly staff”

This is my first time in Medan. The hotel facility and surrounding are just right for my family. The shopping and eaterers are are easy accessable within 5 km radius.

Good Hotel, nice parking space”

as my experience in staying at emerald garden hotel, it is really a good tranquil hotel. especially like the newly and fresh refurbished room. the basement carpark is quite convenient beside the junks are all piled up in it.

Not fair”

Breakfast excellent Staff responsif Strategic location BUT............ i'm very very disappointed about the facilities. The executive deluxe room should be have fasilities bathup, shower and long sofa like image foto in agoda. But in fact, no those facilities in the room that i got. I ask the receptionist many time but i still didn't get does facilities room as i paid. In another hotel, i usually get upgrade room if my room not available. But in this hotel my room is down grade. For me this is fraud. I condemn this !!!

Pleasant hotel with many attractions”

Very pleasant stay in the heart of Medan.The hotel is nicely isolated away from the busy city traffic. The hotel is fully equipped with sports and gymnasium facilities. for night entertainment, there are pub, bars and karaoke rooms right inside the hotel itself.

enough not great”

This hotel is rather old, the location is mediocre, and the food is also just enough. I chose this hotel as it is near to my destination in Medan. The hotel is Ok for me, but not impressive.

Hidden Gem”

It's through my friend's recommendation that i decided to stay at this hotel. It's located very near to train station, takes like 5min. The room was very nice, spacious and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly all around. Excellent stay with good foods and value for money. Do try out their chinese ala carte and dimsum at the palace restaurant, surprisingly good.

Our stay was in the hotel to attend a wedding reception; at the hotel. we were booked in for 1 nigh but wished it would be longer. the room was very comfortable and the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

New comfortable cozy room”

I love this hotel , they already do the new renovation for every single room , and I really love the room , beside that , no worry to stay here , u will get some meals at mini market in front of the hotel.Totally nice !

4* is overrated”

For a 4* hotel, Emerald is overrated. we were check in around 3p.m. and the rooms were not ready yet. From 4 rooms, they can only provide us 2 rooms. They told us that the other 2 rooms are in the process, they asked us to wait. That's find with us. Therefore our group decided to go for sightseeing. At 7pm, one of the the front office staff called me and she told me that the rooms ready. That's good I said, we will take the keys when we're done. But unfortunately, when we're back to the hotel around 9pm the receptionist only give me 1 room and ask me to wait for the other room. That's really disappointed......!!! They insisted to give me a smoking room, which I definitely refuse. The way they run this hotel is just like run a hostel and not a 4* star hotel.

“Relax on a wonderful Garden Resort””

I stayed in Emerald Garden Resort for five nights and enjoyed it very,very much. Was very relaxing and quiet, ideal for a well deserved rest after snorkeling tours. Clean, EXCELLENT service and a "WONDERFUL BREAKFAST" Walking distance from Shopping and my favorite restaurant in Thailand. "Bussaba Thai."

Not a 4star hotel”

Had to change rooms since 4th floor had no wifi connection. I stayed for two nights. Laundry service was American prices, dry cleaning too. Sent in a very expensive wool pants which were never returned after 3 days. There are much better accommodations in Medan for better price.

Decent stay”

Good size rooms. Pool chairs had no cushions. And only allowed two pool towels per room. Restaurant was a little high priced. Not much around the hotel to see. Overall, I would stay again.

Location was just outside the hustle and bustle of Medan, but clean rooms and affordable pricing made up for it... Will definitely return...
