Good hotel, good view, nice staff
Staff is very helpful - always willing to help, hotel has great view higher up, rooms are nice
Staff is nice - willing to do little things to help whenever necessary. View from top floor is very nice - got some of my best photography shots of the city from the room. Located stupid close to the train station. Bic camera, tobu and seibu all very close. Never could get my internet to work correctly in the room though. But that was my only complaint.

Nice hotel, good service, rooms old?
Location, staff, convenience
The Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo is located near Ikebukuro station, one of the largest stations in Tokyo. It is situated very close to the station and has convenient limo buses to both Narita and Haneda airports. The rooms are clean and well maintained, although the hotel's rooms are a little bit older. No complaints and would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting to stay in a large hotel near the station.

Good Location; Little Dated
Location; Staff
Hotel is centrally located near Lumine exit of Ikebukuro. Many restaurants in vicinity. Staff speak good English and service generally excellent. Airport Limousine stop, which is great. Downsides: Strange that hotel that charges what it does has no free wifi in rooms. That is an international service offering that even cheaper hotels are offering, so the hotel's attempt to charge a few hundred yen for this is downright silly and insulting. Cheapens the entire process. Décor a little dated. No English channels. No mineral water bottles, but you are expected to boil your own or drink from the tap. Which again is silly given what the charge. Penny wise pound foolish ideas like this make the frequent traveler gnash his teeth. The management needs to wise up to the new world soon, or else risk losing customers. Otherwise an excellent hotel in a great location. If you like the Keio Plaza, you would like this.

comfortable hotel in good location
location, open window
Normally I always stay in Metropolitan. Easy to get from airport by bus, metro and JR nearby, many restaurants around, public gym is close too. Recently many groups of Chinese tourists started to frequent hotel creating noise, so something to watch for and ask the floor without big tourist groups.

Nice hotel in a very convenient location
Close to the subway station, easy access from airport, lots of places for dining and shopping
I stayed on the 14th floor, the furniture and carpet are old. The room is dark. The housekeeping limit guests to 1 hour for usage of iron and ironing board. No free internet in the room. Other than the above, the hotel is centrally located in a convenient place.

Good location in Ikebukuro
Location, access, friendly staff
I had a conference in the same hotel, this was very convenient. Hotel is nice and very friendly. Location is good for access to the Station, but far enough away that you are not in the rat race near the station.
