Good value and location
The location is good, the price reasonable for the area and the staff were helpful
The location of the hotel is a few minutes walk from the bustle of the Shinjuku nightlife which is good for rest at the end of the day. As others have said the third floor is the reception, something to remember. I found the staff to be helpful and their English skills good. The room I had may have been small but the design made it usable. I'd stay here again.

Good hotel in a convenient location
Big room, good location and nice staffs
Big room (for a Japanese hotel at this price), 5 mins from Shinjuku station, walking distance to red light street (You may not use the service there but it is fun and crowded area with lots of restaurant around. Only one thing to complain is when you use the elevator in pick hours, it could be very slow as it is packed of people and it stop at almost every floor.

Convenient location
Location tour for mt Fuji left from here direct transport from airport
We stayed twice - 2 days in a twin, room ok on 5th floor but smelled strongly of smoke, no matter how much air freshener we sprayed, 2nd visit was for 1 night in a double room - very tiny but Ok, no smoke smell, 13 th floor, lifts very slow, 10 min walk to Skinjuku station, would be good if hotel had better maps in English and could advise local places to go, wasted a lot of time looking for things

Old and worn down smelling of cigarettes
Location is good 10 minute trek to Shinjuku Station.
The only saving grace of the hotel is the relative convenient location. Non smoking room option means as long as you don't smoke. The smell of cigarettes permeates from the adjacent rooms and the hallways. The building and accommodations are old and worn. It does not appear there has been any updating as ever thing is original circa early 80's. I've stayed at much better accommodations in mainland China of the same class and would really say this is more of a 2 star hotel at best. Room sizes are small and the bathroom resembles one from a cruise ship... slightly larger than an airplane bathroom. There is no air conditioning, the fan recirculates air within the building and other smoking rooms. Primary guests are tour groups from China, Phillipines, vietnam and other "value oriented" guests. There is a 2hr Family Mart on site for convenience and an interesting sushi restaurant downstairs where you can fish for your dinner. That is an interesting concept. Food was okay.

Fits our needs
There were no surprises, small room just to sleep for 5 nights. We found the location a little far (10mins) walk from Shinjuku Station but the covered underground connection to the station very handy,
