Overall very pleased with our stay at the hotel. Great for 1 star. Friendly and helpful staff. King deluxe room was spacious enough for a budget hotel. Didn't expect to be provided with new flip flops as part of amenities although we didn't take them with us (not sure if they were complimentary) Note that hotel charges extra fees for early check in and late check out so do ask properly. All rates and extra fees are clearly stated though. Clean room. Aircon worked well probably due to hotel is still new. We booked this hotel for its location (near to where we wanted to go) and also the separate shower and toilet. The half glass partition at shower area did help to keep part of toilet area dry. Some hotels have shower and toilet in same space the whole floor will be wet everytime after shower. Complimentary mandarin oranges for guests due to it's Chinese New Year. Small gesture like this makes a big difference. Will seriously consider to use M design again.

The hotel is in main city and just 5 minute drive to twin tower and Ampang park.My room was very good and clean, with that budget price its the best hotel in kuala lumpur city Center, and very low price & with good wifi inside the room. it was an awesome experience staying at Ampang point star hotel because it's located at a strategic area as just beside there is a Ampang point shopping mall and 7 eleven and there is many restaurants nearby. the room was also rally comfortable with that budget price,it was really a super stay at this hotel.Overall, its good and value for money.

I had a meeting at Hospital Ampang and booked Sojourn Guest House becaused its less than 1km away. I came for business, but had a really restful stay. The free green tea and rest area are great. The room is spacious for the price with nice and interesting features. It is also well equipped with iron/ironing board, hair dryer etc which in other hotels would be on special request especially at this price range. The staff were helpful and polite. I was blown away with the complimentary breakfast set voucher which was given to me on check-in. The coffee at the adjoining restaurant is especially mentionable. Parking is along the main street, if you are lucky you can get the reserved parking right in front of the lobby. All in all, I would recommend this hotel as it is very nearby Hospital Ampang and also provides lots of addons which make for a pleasent restful stay.

The location is almost perfect. Almost everything is within walking distance. KPJ Ampang Puteri Hospital is just across the road. Ampang Point Shopping Mall is about 100 meter from hotel. No need to worry about food. It's everywhere. 7-11 and KK Supermart are on the ground floor. Room is clean, air cond is working fine and your hot shower sometimes will intermittent running on low pressure (not all the time) Unfortunately, you have to take a drive to do your laundry.

Value for money, I got worth price. Strategic location, easy to parking, easy to find out, near restaurant and facilities such as dobi, atm machine, bank, ampang point mall, petrol station and etc. Cleanliness, comfort, very good. Staff at night 28/10/2019 is kind and friendly, but staff at morning 29/10/2019 little bit bad mood, i dont know why, hahaha..And the room is not soundproofing, I take Deluxe queen room, at 3am in the morning, can hear people at restaurant or somewhere laugh and talk loudly. They keep talking and laughing untill 5-6 am lol..I can't sleep well.

New Wave Ampang Hotel 🏨 overall are good, especially very good service for staff En Zul. Thanks a lot for him! Only one matter need to improvement a.s.a.p. Big issue happened, the counter staff does not know that the customer has reserved the room. It is recommended to use the electronic connection system quickly with Agoda company, this is also the guarantee for online booking of customers.

This hotel was recommended by a friend of mine and to my surprise, it was such cozy to stay for such a budget hotel. I stayed in Deluxe room. It was spacious & bed is comfortable too, and the pictures showed exactly like their website. I like the rain shower head. I have to mention that the staffs are superb friendly & helpful. There lots of local eateries including night market just behind of the hotel. (keep eating :p), The famous Tai Zi Tart, Soya Bean, Chicken Rice , Mamak , Thaifood.. whatever you named it !!!! With this affordable rate & services, i will definitely back again.

We had a great time staying in uptown hotel shamelin. Staff are very accomodating and friendly. We had a hard time charging our gadgets in our room but the staff were doing their best to help us. They made sure that when we came back, our room was already clean and neat. The location is not inside the city but it is very near and very convenient for us to travel because only walking distance from hotel going to train station. And when we were hungry, it is very convenient for us to eat anytime bec the hotel was surrounded by many food chains there.

traveling with wife and 4 small kids. this place has everything u need, rice cooker, water heater, kitchen hood and hub, microwave and electric oven and even washer+dryer. swimming pool at level 3. house is very clean. they even gave towel when u check in. soap dispenser in each of bathroom. all 3 rooms has aircond. location is very quite and beautiful. not far from zoo negara and about 20km from genting premium outlet.

I would like to share my journey: 1. The traffic was quite bad to enter the hotel area area due to construction at Jalan Ampang. However, I think this is just temporary. 2. Limited parking space 3. The room we got was no window and cigarette smell was really bad even though we requested for non smoking room. Really hard to breath inside the room. That's the worst part for me. 4. The receptionist was not friendly at all and never smile to their customer however they were quite helpful. To be honest, we a bit scared when we first check-in.

I've been given a room without window. With a large bathroom, a queen size bed, plus a TV, and of course an air conditioner, it just good for me since I only stay for shower, rest and sleep. The hotel prepare two bath towels, 3 mini bar soap and iron can be requested at the reception desk. The rest of the day I was out for my 3 days business. Food were easy to find since it is next to Melawati Food Court area and in front of night market area. Taxi and bus just in walking distance and the nearest train station is at Wangsa Maju or Sri Rampai. However, I would like to suggest, it would be nice if the hotel can prepare 2 blankets although it was a queen bed. I do not feel comfortable sharing a blanket with my friend. Overall, this hotel is recommended to backpackers, budget traveller, or non-executive business stay.

a journey gets wonderful when you have a pleasant host. And our host was awesome. The rooms were clean and had all the necessary amenities including basic food items to cook. It was quite pleasant stay for us. We wanted to extend one day but sadly it was not available a loss for us. The owner is wonderful and eager to help. she was in continuous contact with us even though i was in my home country. Surprisingly she gave me a call at my cell phone no when i was in Bangladesh. I travel a lot and i have never seen this before. A little bit backwards as per the location but all the other things copes up for it.

As a solo traveller in KL to do wildlife photography, I found this fabulous place in Ampang the perfect accommodation. The house is modern and fully decked out with everything you could possibly need. Stove, fridge, utensils, TV, A/C, and so much more. A home away from home. It would definitely suit any traveller. Either solo, couples or families. You don't have to bring anything. It's in a lovely area with bushy surroundings. Very close to the mountains and forests. The owners, Amelia and Hendry and family live next door, and are the most wonderful, friendly and helpful people. It's in a very safe and secure neighbourhood so you feel very relaxed. I recommend Senyum Zoo Negara to anyone. I will definitely be staying here on my next visit to KL.
