"I booked the Superior Plus Room from 26 Oct to 29 Oct (Deepavali Weekend). Overall, it is a new or refurbished hotel with friendly and welcoming staff. It is located conveniently near BTS or KLCC or Pavillion and other shopping destination Via Grab. But it is a walkable distance if you wish to take their train. It is also near Chinatown and other eateries like KFC and 7 Eleven. This hotel wins in terms of location and convenience. The room was spacious and everything seems to be in order. No complaints here on the room and bathroom. However, I was not pleased with the hotel for not providing housekeeping on the third day. I informed the check-in counter staff for housekeeping before heading out and when I got back to my room, it wasn't done. I surfaced this to the staff during the check-out and the reason gave was lack of manpower. I think it is a minor issue and I hope they would be efficient just to do a quick tidy up and change towels and provide the toothbrushes."

"What more can I say, this place is too good. Been to dozen of accommodation in KL, yet this is by far one of the best place I've stayed. The developer BinaPuri Properties really did splendid job on the building's exquisite details. Too bad we've stayed on MCO time, didn't get to utilize most facilities here. And thanks to Kaleem being a very welcoming reception. Fully recommended 👍🏻"

"I think it's quite a new hotel, run by Tamil staff. Staff friendly and helpful. Ideally situated close to LRT Pasar Seni, Central Market, Kasturi Walk, Jalan Petaling, etc. Not much character, but excellent value, clean, quiet and everything one needs. Great views over the city from window - National Mosque, etc. We booked 3 hotels in Malaysia on this trip, and Lavana was the best (the friendliest and and also the cheapest by a long way). One problem with all hotels was the snail-like Wifi, ironic as there are signs everywhere reading that Malaysia is getting up to speed, 500 Mbps - well, they have a long way to go, and that's compared to Lombok, where I live."

"We had a pleasant stay in GEO hotel, I would say this is one of the best hotel in Chinatown area. The hotel is located in the heard of Chinatown, it was located just next to central bus and LRT terminal. It's about 2 minutes walking distance to 2 popular and renowned areas in Chinatown which was Central market and Petaling steet. Though room is rather small but it was very clean and comfy. Will definitely stay in this hotel when we visiting KL again. "

"Everything is still new and clean. Housekeeping is doing good works. Daily change of bed sheet and towel. Iron and hot drinking water dispenser are located at corridor each floor. Awesome location - easy to find food and public transport. Texas Chicken and 7-11 just at ground floor. Hotel has coffee house too. Chinatown is just across the road. Walking distance to Dataran Merdeka for marathon event. Good security - you need access card to enter your floor and room. Air conditional working well. Will come again."

More about Chinatown

At the center of Kuala Lumpur is lively Chinatown, a district known for its colorful shopping and entertainment scene. The district centers on Jalan Petaling, a bustling commercial avenue. It runs north-to-south through the district where it hosts the best shops and hotels in Chinatown.

Central Market, also called Pasar Seni, lies between Petaling Street and the Kelang River. In the past, it dealt mainly in produce, but the scope is broader now. Tourists come here to pick up handicrafts, replica designer goods and antiques. They can also head to the Annexe on the second floor for anything from cultural exhibitions to book signings. Pasar Seni LRT station adjoins the market.

Other shopping centers in Chinatown include Kota Raya, S & M Warisan and UO Superstore. None of these venues are as popular or glamorous as their rivals in Mid Valley City or the Golden Triangle, but they’re great for bargains. Each of these complexes has been recently renovated.

Most of the accommodation in Chinatown fronts Petaling Street. As the defining attraction, Petaling Street has the best selection of merchandise and restaurants, and it’s one of the likeliest places to find tourists in Kuala Lumpur. Cheap and authentic hawker food is widely available.

Because of its central location, Chinatown is a favorite place for tourists to be based while visiting Kuala Lumpur. It’s especially popular with backpackers and budget travelers, who make use of the Maharajaalela monorail station and Plaza Rakyat LRT station for getting around town. The Puduraya Bus Terminal, operating services to the LCCT airport and to long-distance destinations like Penang, Ipoh and Kuala Kangsar.
