Great location but really just one star
location, location, location
Second time I've booked here - probably for the last time. Don't get me wrong, the location is fantastic and the staff is really friendly, but for the amount of money they are charging one can get great hotels a little further abroad and just spend the extra-bucks on taxis. Rooms are clean but outdated. The one star fits perfectly, but that's it.

City center but not value for money.
Close to Sule pagoda, City Center and good location.
We got Family with window room that can see Sule pagoda from the room. Room was standard but bath room too small and shower was damage. Wifi always unstable that it disconnect every 5 sec. too bad for Wifi. Breakfast which bananas, fried egg and bread so I think it not enough. Totally not value for money because expensive than themselves quality.

Close to Sule Pagoda
Location, Mohinga for breakfast, free wireless
Location is really great - in the old down town, a stone's throw from Sule Pagoda, round the corner from some great markets and a pleasant stroll from the park, and the Strand Hotel. Rooms are small but clean. Showers are hand held - which is not v convenient. Standard breakfast is bananas + white bread + fried egg, but they'll bring in Mohinga for you if you ask and that's a great start to the day! Wireless worked well. NB there are SINGLE rooms available at 1/3 less than doubles, but these do not appear on Agoda and are still rather overpriced at $40/night. Staff are helpful, but "business-like", and you'll get charged $5 for leaving a bag.

best location to roam around so far
location, friendly & helpful staff, clean room
May Shan is undoubtedly in one of the best locations to roam around Yangon. Sule Pagoda and Mahabandoola Garden are 2mins walk. You can have photo op at the rooftop ang have those as your backdrop. It's 15mins walk to Chinatown and Bogyoke Aung San Market. When it comes to room, it's clean and comfortable. It's equipped w/ aircon, tv, T &B, and you can borrow hairdryer. That's all that matters. Don't expect a 5-star room. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast are super basic but enough to give you energy while touring the city
