Great location but airconditioning is not so good
location, clean, accesible
the place is very accessible especially to the mrt. the rooms are clean and fit just right for a budget trip. there are delicious food nearby and it is at affordable rates. better not go out at night time because it might be dangerous.

Great hotel with super friendly staff
Good location, good value for money
i had a great stay at paradis and would stay here again anytime. the rooms have aircon and wifi (even though they had some trouble with wifi when i was there) in almost all rooms. i stayed in a "heaven" room and it was quite nice. all rooms have mirrors in the ceiling and the hotel offers short time stay as well, so many couples come there to stay for a couple of hours. unfortunately it is impossible to get a smoke-free room, so even though they are spraying the rooms, the smell is always rather heavy. in other words, not a good choice if you are sensitive. i don't smoke, but i was ok with it. the staff is extremely helpful and changed my room a couple of times, because aircon was not good in my first room and wifi didn't work in the second. they also stored my big suitcase when i went to palawan and bohol and just wanted to bring my backpack. you can order food and drink to your room at very affordable prices. location is great, in the same building as lrt, so you can get around very cheap. there is also a robinson supermarket in the same building, and lots of electronical and dvd shops, very convenient! i loved my stay here and will stay here next time in manila as well!

Beautiful Hotel, But Two Fatal Flaws(maybe)..
Large rooms, clean, decent breakfast, gleaming white and powdered blue motifm smiling staff
This is a beautiful hotel, with lots of whites and blues and a friendly staff, always there to help you with problems. The halls and rooms are beautiful, many with mirrored ceilings(how sexy can you get?) The price is very reasonable, the location is perfect, with walking distance to the Carriedo LRT Station steps away, a supermarket on the 2nd floor, street markets and restaurants thruout the area. And if you don't need a consistent Wi-fi connection for your laptop or iPad or don't mind stepping out into the lobby when you need to reply or to make calls on your cell-phone or you don't mind getting a staff member to insert his card(because yours doesn't work) every time you want to get into your room, this is the hotel for you in Santa Cruz. On the other hand, the A/C works fine, there is hot water for yur shower and you get a new toothbrush, shampoo, soap and toothpaste each day. You do have to remind the staff when you leave the hotel to clean your room, because they haven't heard about the slip-on-the-door plastic note to the staff to clean your room. I naively thought all hotels, regardless of degree of comfort or luxury, had them. Breakfasts are o.k., but the toast is nothing to write home about and even watered down juice or fruit would be a nice touch. I would advise guests to always follow thru on requests, not waiting very long for a response, since their method of communicating seems to be hit-or-miss.. I asked for breakfast at 7:30PM and it either came 7 minutes early or 30 minutes late(and even then, I had to stop a waiter in the hall to ask him where my breakfast was). Since my critical needs in this order: wi-fi that works 24/7 and my cell phone that sends and receives messages everywhere in the hotel didn't happen, I could have lived with less than perfect all other room and hotel features. In conclusion, I can't stay there again.

kinda for love couples only
nice appearance
Embarashing if you are not married couple. I took my brother and he immediately was suspicious. Hard to get in and out for non-romantic visitor.

Not The Place to Stay
we will not retun to this hotel. i was pleased with the staff performance in trying to accommadate us with the problems we encountered. we changed rooms 3 times, the 1st room was so smoke filled that we did not accept it, the 2nd room upon moving in we found strange spots on the sheets and asked for it to be changed, also the entrance door had been drilled with a half inch hole near the lock mechanism that i was concerned about. the 2 nearest rooms to our room had signs of mold on ceiling and walls so we asked to be moved for a 3rd time. this room was somewhat better and appeared to be mold free but at this point we just tried to make do till we checked out. i did notice repair and remodeling was going on so improvements are being made but until the work is finished i would not go back.
