It was okay, but should be better!
Food, Name Image (Penninsula), Location
Because of the name "Penninsula", the hotel should be a lot better. The hotel condition is not very good 6.5-7 out of 10. Staff performance are also below average. Room comfort is average, but the location is quite good though, only 200 meters away from City Hall station. Without having the name "Penninsula", this hotel would get a higher score from me, but from this, i was expecting a lot more from this hotel (but the food was fine).

Poor room facility maintenance
Location was close to the Raffles City Mall & MRT interchange station, a mere 5-minute walk.
In-room facility maintenance was sub-standard as the water from the wash basin faucet drained out too slowly, possibly from a blockage in the pipe outlet. A relative staying on a high floor experienced low water pressure from the shower head in the bathroom. Pillows were not fluffy and puffed; the mini bar downlight was not working; & TV channels were limited for a supposedly 4-star hotel. Not worth the room rate charged despite the promo period discount.

The staff is friendly n polite.
i am pleasantly surprise d to be upgraded to executive room without extra charges. the room is spacious. the location is fantastic n easy to move around.
Great. Good view n food. Comfortable.

A hotel too far gone.
Location, location,location
I was very disappointed with the standards of the hotel.Air conditioner (vital in Singapore) operated at one temp. Thermostat seemed to be u/s.Mattresss was rock hard. Had to buy a doona to put on top, as first morning awoke with sore back.Kettle never reached boiling point . Kept switching itself on and off.Bad management is to blame for staff still thumping around at 8 pm.I spent 14 days in a room next to the cleaning staff's store room ,with them having noisy conversations early in the morning and clunking about late in the evening.As Singapore is supposed to be a high tech country, one would assume the TV reception and quality of associated services would be of a high standard. This was not the case.This is a TWO star hotel.
