room size, pool access, location
our room was upgraded to pool access level and that was an awesome experience. the room was huge and it fit 15 people beautifully. i love the location of the room as it was easy for the kids to jump in to the pool. we felt safe staying in Festive as the kids could roam around freely within the vicinity

Not what you would expect from 5-start hotel
Very ordinary hotel. It should be rated as 3-star, maybe 4. Location is the only good point.
Very ordinary hotel for 5-stars. It should be rated as 3-stars, maybe 4. Location is the only good point. The swimming pool is small, but clean and quite. If the hotel was rated lower, my feedback would different, it just does not meet the expectations of the 5-star. The furniture in the room is outdated. There is no proper shelving. The speakers of the TV had feedback into the back of the bed. The curtains were not hung up properly. Refrigerator was not working. Amenities are very limited. If you are looking for a cheap hotel next to Univrsal Studios - this is a winner. Do t set your expectations according to the rating though!

Lovely staff despite communication breakdown.
The staff, quiet room and nice views.
First of all, better signage for cabs n drivers is needed for directions to each hotel. My cabby drove round d whole RWS carpark looking for Festive Hotel drop off point before realizing that he had to exit d carpark first. Staff were very welcoming n eager to please. Was given early check in to a pool facing room at abt 1.15pm but fridge was not working n toilet smelled of cigarette from previous idiot occupant. Technician arranged for fridge change while I go for lunch. When I walked past Reception, was asked if room was okay. Upon hearing the problems, they offered a room change which I accepted as cig smoke odour wld b difficult to remove. Was given a room facing greenery n cable cars in d distance. When I got back fm lunch at nearly 4pm, decided to relax by watching TV before attending an 8pm show at d theatre. Cldn't get TV to come on so called for help around 5pm. Housekeeping sent a staff who cldn't figure out d problem n he said he will arrange for a technician to come. An hour passed n no one came. I rang and staff apologized n said will send someone. When I left for my show at 7.40pm, no one has been up. Mentioned to Reception on my way out to hv it looked into. When I returned at nearly 10.30pm, it was still not done. Had to call again n finally a technician came n found out that it was just a simple problem of a loose MIO TV box. Of cos, I was annoyed at how long it took to sort this out but as staff hv bn courteous thru out, I didn't raise much fuss. TV remote control needs real hard pressing too. Ordered Nasi Goreng n Spicy Chicken Wings fm Room Service n was informed it wld take an hour. No problem with that. Nasi Goreng was tasty but Chicken Wings were not spicy at all n vey very salty n I believe have been fried in 'old' oil as they were nearly black. Room was very quiet at night so had a good sleep.
