Old 3 star hotel
Not nuch
This is a old local business hotel. Dirty carpet, facilities such as bowling are out of order, most menu items were unavailable, and the Hors d'oeuvre platter ended up being a big plate of peanuts! Fortunately it was just for an overnight stay on the road to Chiang Mai but this is not a good value at all.

Near eateries, scenic boat ride area & nice buffet breakfast
Receptionists & waiters/waitresses don't seem to portray the welcoming Thai hospitality compared to the security or concierge staff, taxi & tuk tuk drivers. Perhaps they were handling a number of guests & groups. Communicating in English to the waiters/waitresses seems quite a challenge but that's okay. The room is spacious, clean & comfy, & ours is overlooking the river...interesting view! Added value if coffee/tea making facility is available. Well, 7-11 & Tesco Lotus is just walking distance where you can get your snacks & hot/cold drinks or instant noodles. Nice array of buffet breakfast: American, Thai & Chinese. Bottled drinking water is complimentary. Wifi is available but is quite unstable. The riverside restaurant area is cosy & scenic. The train station is a short distance across, while the taxi river boat to cross the river is at the junction; back portion of the hotel. Costs only 5 baht p/person & p/bike. Tuk tuks are waiting outside the hotel & costs 200 baht for a one hour journey. It took us around 5 hrs to visit the magnificent historical sites and the elephant village...places not to be missed!

Probably not 4 star any more
location, view, staff
The hotel is within walking distance of the train station, (off the island) so it is very easy for train travellers. Easy access to tuk tuks to travel to the temples. The property is on the river, so nice views of river traffic and the island to be had. It IS getting a bit tired & a full refurbishment is required. Having said this, it IS clean and everything functions. The wi-fi is slow, and so is the service in the bar. There are also some language difficulties with non-reception staff - but a few Thai phrases should work.

A little bit dusty/old fashioned appearance.
River view, location, comfy room
A few kind of services need to be improved, like parking service. I'm okay to park my car outside the hotel area, but don't you think they should give us more sense in taking care more about safety for their guests to cross the street from the car park back to the hotel with that kind of insane traffic.

worn out and overrated
the room was worm. the carpet had holes in it. the bathroom sink was chipped. i went down to breakfast at 9:40 (served until 10:00), the cereals had already been put away, all the food was cold because they had switch the burners off! this hotel caters for buss loads of tourists, and when the last buss has left they clear away.

Best place to stay in Ayutthaya
Nice food, cleanliness, and service
Was ok. Room is big enough, clean and the food in the restaurant was amazing. But the tap on the sink was not working properly, and the shower was too strong. All room have connecting door which is not good for privacy as anyone can hear what other people's conversation.
