Good hotel, average breakfast spread.
Location, rooms and facilities.
Everything you'd expect from a 4 star hotel and it was a really enjoyable stay. The only slight downside is the breakfast selection. While there's a lot to choose from, the western and Thai options weren't particularly great. Fantastic if you like miso soup and mixed vegetables for breakfast everyday though....

What are you looking for?
Location, price, staff
If you are looking for a better-than-average backpacker hotel or a place for a cheap, short stay in a good location, this hotel fits the bill. Conveniently located between Soy Cowboy and Lebuah State Tower (Scirocco), both 15 minute foot walks. The rooms are ok. Clean, but nothing special. Bathrooms come with shower only, which is just separated from the rest of the bathroom by a shower curtain. The beds are clean and comfortable. The metal doors do not really increase the charm. The deco is old and a bit worn-out. But they do have a safe-deposit box and free WiFi with acceptable speed. The bar on the rooftop is quite nice with nice views over Bangkok and there is a swimming pool as well. They also offer limousine service to the airport starting from 1000THB depending on what car you prefer. Did not try any of the restaurants there.

A good and happy stay
The room were good, staffs were helpful and food selection at breakfast was good.
We love our stay at Furama Silom. They upgraded us when we check in late at 5pm. We were very glad and thankful for the upgrade as the room was really large and and the bathroom was really spacious and clean. The staffs were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet selection was good and they serve good variety of food. It's was convenient to get taxis just outside the hotel. And it was near Silom Thai Cooking School where I was attending few Authentic Thai Cuisine lessons. Many massage spas all around the corner too. A convenient store just two doors away. It's a good stay indeed.
