This hotel is in need of some updating,the krung thep wing is like stepping back into the 80's. For a 5* hotel you do not expect torn curtains & missing electrical switches. The biggest problem at this hotel is the breakfast service, the only word to use is 'Chaos'. I made a complaint to the manager regarding this which he was most apologetic and compensated us but the problem persisted every morning that I stayed here. I would not stay at this hotel again, there are much better hotels in Bangkok for less money.

Value for money stay for X'mas
Location, great view, kid friendly
The hotel is big with many rooms, but it show its aged in terms of design. It's great for family with kids as it has activities on the pool. But it was very crowd around Xmas period, it's better to grap a sunbed facing the river if you want some quietness. Breakfast is just okay, no fresh juice, but it's nice to sit outdoor. Service overall is quite good. Last but not least, not enough boat to Asiatique market.

Had to wait hours for anything. Personal butler not seen after checking even phoning for him several times. In booking requested for laptops : hotel could not provide any ( had to phone several times & was not given a resonalable answer)

We had a pleasant stay in the Krungthep Wing again. Great value for money unless you are out all day and miss out on the delicious afternoon tea and drinks and snacks. The staff, the view on the river, the area, the proximity to the Sky Train and Ferry boats are all perfect. We somehow miss an intimate Krungthep Wing terrace for breakfast. But it is only a small walk to the big breakfast terrace of the main wing. The only other thing that can still be improved is the taxi service from the Hotel. In my view the hotel is too soft on the taxi-sharks that circle around the big hotels like Shangri-La. To get a metered taxi from the hotel to the airport you better call one yourself (1681).
