Incredible stay in Krabi”
We stayed at Rayavadee to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and we had the most relaxing and enjoyable trip. Some issues at the airport about our transfer to the pier were quickly resolved and we were whisked away to the hotel's private pier and speed boat. Lucky to have great weather at this time of year, we wouldn't have been disappointed if rain had kept us inside. The "room," much more like a private luxury cottage house, was beautifully decorated and offered every convenience of being at home. We also enjoyed strolling through the expansive property lush with plants and flowers lining several walking/jogging paths. One of the main restaurants was being renovated and The Grotto had been booked for a private function Saturday night, but the room service menu and service was perfect for our evenings in, and the staff accommodated us for lunch at The Grotto Sunday afternoon. The pool and views from the restaurants are even more beautiful than the photos show, and getting to and from nearby beaches and islands is very convenient. While we only chose rock climbing (challenging, but fun!) and kayaking (beautiful and a perfect activity during high tide) we were likely to have enjoyed any of the well-organized activities Rayavadee had to offer. We have stayed at one other hotel and had several suggestions from friends on where to stay in Krabi, but we doubt we will be able to stay anywhere other than Rayavadee the next time we return to the island. Rayavadee deserves its superb rating and then some.

Amazing Hotel”
This was our first time traveling in the Krabi / PhiPhi / Railay area and we booked a different night at each hotel. We found a good deal on Rayavadee and decided to splurge for one of the nights. It far exceeded our expectations and it was the best place we've ever stayed in Thailand. The facilities and staff were great, the bungalow felt like a nice house with the room being upstairs, food was good - but the scenery is the best part. It was hard to stay at other hotels after this because nothing else can come close.

Beautiful Resort with all the Facilities”
We went during the rainy season was pouring for the entire 3 days we stayed there. We just enjoyed the SPA and other indoor facilities that they had. Had to forget about doing anything outdoors and were using the umbrellas most of the time... I was fortunate enough to get the private pool villa. If not for the weather, that we cannot control, my wife and I had a perfect experience. The food was ok but facilities fantastic but all these comes at a price... It's one of the more expensive resorts in Krabi. If cost is not an issue, I would definitely recommend the Rayavadee! One thing you'll have to note is that although you have your own private beach the Rayavadee also run external tours for outsiders to come use the beach front and restaurant for meals. As a result of that you get lots of "outsiders" to the beach front and it can get very noisy and crowded. So if want your own private beach front you won't really get that.

Amazing landscape - Cadre incroyable”
We stayed in Rayavadee for four days. The hotel, location and services are just incredible. Staff is amazingly polite and you definetely recognize the reason why a high price. However a couple of things to improve according to our opinion: 1- Breakfast: is good but not WAW! Buffet should be larger (missing natural juices, choice of granola or muesli - seeds such as chia, goji, nuts etc) 2- Activities: I agree on the price of this hotel and completely think is worth value but sometimes they ask prices without real argumentation. Ex: they offer you a transfer from their private pier to Krabi airport for 900 bht/person (around 25€). We took a taxi instead (that they booked finally for us )and payed 800bht for the two of us.. The distance was exactly the same, we had a private van as well.. so the 1.000 extra where are they going to? Another example could be their activities. Ex: any tour to Phi Phi , Bamboo Island is no less than 6.000bht (165€/person). A bit too exagerated..

Amazing Resort”
My only regret is that I didn't stay longer. We left Rayavadee to spend a few days at the Rosewood in Phuket. I enjoyed my time at Rayavadee much more so than the Rosewood. Rayavadee exceeded the Rosewood by far and was half the price!The grounds are gorgeous and the staff is amazing and extremely helpful. The location could not be better and is really what makes this hotel so special. And they left us a champagne bottle to celebrate our anniversary! Very nice touch. Hope to return one day. Also, you will see monkeys running around the property. I thought it was pretty cool but may be scary for some lol.

Make this on your bucket list”
This is just one fantastic resort. Everything IS 5 star. Golf buggies to help you get around so perfect for me & my arthritis. The Grotto Restaurant is a wow, to eat in a small cave plus being only 1 metre from the clear water of the sea, with views of the setting sun. Gibbon like monkeys are around in the tropical gardens & we even saw they were carrying babies, at no time did they approach us & it was perfectly safe. Our cabana I have never seen such a big bed before 10 to 12 feet wide. 1.5 to 2.0 hour ferry from Phuket Town in Phuket. There are also boat tours, Phi Phi island, James Bond island even 4 island hopping with crystal clear waters, we were the first to arrive wow. They also have land must see tours. Breakfast is excellent everything you can imagine including scrambled egg with salmon or eggs benedict, wow wow wow. Our visit was for my Birthday & now Wife wants it for hers as well. Staff & Resort service was above & beyond. Thank you Rayavadee Hotel/resort.

Thr bestest stay of my life till date. Location service cleanliness the decor of the room”
I simply loved my stay. I cant get over it. They welcomed us at the shore. Showed us ous room and the resort provided transfer till nammao pier. All the staff would treat u like you are tge most important guest. The breakfast had good vegetarian options. Room is cleaned twice. There are two beaches with all sorts of water equipments. The resort is full of greenery and clean air. Buggy service was quick and accomodative. They guided us for all the things we wee worried about and gave personal good bye letter with our speedboat transfer details. I have been to Maldives they did not treat us the way rayavadee treated us. I an surely coming again. There are no second thoughts that if im at krabi i wont take this property. Thank you so much for everything. I loved my stay and i will surely come again

Wonderful property, but very busy beach”
Rayavadee has surely been an absolute piece of paradise! It is nested among a beautiful garden at the bottom of the impressive Krabi lime stone rocks. Though it does maintain a lot of its quietness, the heavy exploitation of Mass tourism to Krabi does take a toll on the beach. The waters are no longer pristine and there is a constant bustle of motor boats roaming around and landing on the hotel beaches. The staff is amazing and they will do anything possible to delight you! It is definitely worth a visit.

We had wonderful and memorable stay at Rayavadee Hotel. The staff, ambiance, restaurants, beautiful beach and the natural environment combined to create one of our best ever hotel experiences. Special mention must be made of Susan Young, Duty Manager. Susan was happy to spend time with guests to ensure we and the other guests were happy and she was always happy to have a chat and really added a personal touch to our stay. She is a star! Other properties could learn from this property about great service and connected and happy staff.

Well designed pavilions and beautiful gardens!”
My boyfriend and loved our pavilion room and the stunning surrounding gardens at Rayavadee. I arranged a small birthday surprise for my boyfriend and the hotel surprised him with a complimentary birthday cake and a bottle of Chilean wine! The staff- especially Marine- a trainee at Rayavadee did an outstanding job of taking good care of us. We will always remember the monkey dolls placed in the living room waiting to surprised us with on the night before our last day.

A superb resort”
We very much enjoyed our stay at Rayavadee Hotel and were sad to leave. The beautiful private location, the long, sandy beach gently sloping in the blue green waters, the first class accommodations, the good food, the genuinely friendly, helpful staff, including the general manager welcoming us, all these things made for a wonderfully relaxing vacation. The resort has many activities available, including canoes, surfboards, tennis table, good library. Highly recommended, we can't wait to return!

All facilities are great and the room amazing. It is the kind of honeymoon hotel... They pay attention to every single detail in their service. The only hard time was leaving it... It was perfect. I would recommend anyone who goes to Thailand to stay and relax at Rayavadee. It met and exceeded my already high expectation. My only complaint was due to low tide we were dropped off on Railay Beach and no one from the resort was there to lead us. That would have been the extra step they could have taken.

Simply magic!!”
Fantastic location and staff! Rayavadee is in such a beautiful location it's hard not to relax. You can just think "Ooh I'd like a cocktail and a snack" and suddenly a staff member appears with a menu. It's fabulous. The rooms are big - lovely bathrooms - and are choc-full of all the mod-cons you could desire. Phranang Beach is beautiful and very secluded. Pool definitely falls into the 'fantasy pool' category. Breakfasts are sumptuous. Try the chicken congee at breakfast! Would recommend this hotel to hotel to anyone - it's world class and you should just try a little Thai-style luxury because I think you'll be pleasantly surprised!

I'll keep this short. Just get yourself to Rayavadee. It's just incredible, truly amazing. It's best not to ruin the surprise by researching too many reviews. Just trust me that it's amazing and it'll be all the more magical an experience for you, by not looking at too many reviews or photos. Enjoy. I will be back as soon as I've saved up enough money for a Pool Pavillion.

Rayavadee”
Great location on the peninsular, with access to three beaches. Great swimming pool and very attentive and helpful staff. Expensive (both in terms of room rates and cost of drinks and food and other items once there) - particularly in comparison with other 5 star hotels in Thailand, but has a captive market as being the only hotel of this standard in the area so is understandable to some extent. Phuket and Phi Phi are without doubt better value for money so if you're looking for luxury without breaking the bank then head elsewhere, but the Rayavadee is a class act.

Great Hotel - but not a 9.2”
We had an enjoyable stay at the Rayavadee, but are surprised by the Agoda rating of 9.2. Ratings over 9 are rare and are usually reversed for the worlds very best hotels - that are world class in terms of their location/setting, their rooms, the service, and the crusine. Rayavadee is not a world class hotel in all of these areas. I would rate the Rayavadee as an Agoda 8.3 to 8.4 rating. The location, room (or rather villa) were certainly spectacular. But the crusine and service standards are far from world class. On the downside are their charges. The most extreme example is the airport transfer. A (private) taxi can be easily booked on arrival at Krabi airport to the pier where the Ravayadee boat departs for THB350. The Rayavadee charge for the same service is THB3,800++. I know 5 star hotels charge high prices, but over 10 times the price for exactly the same service is beyond reasonable and is quite outrageous and I question the integrity of management attempting to charge "unsuspecting tourists" this amount. Management justify the charge by claiming it is "a private car transfer", seemingly overlooking the fact that the taxi charge of THB350 is also a "private transfer" - and not a shared vehicle. My tips. 1. Don't use their airport transfer services and pay the outrageous charges. The costs are totally unnecessary and taxi's are readily available and provide exactly the same service for less than one tenth of the cost. 2. Don't book the excursions offered at the hotel. They are similarly expensive and are best booked directly with operators at Ao Nang. And anyway, while at the Rayavadee and paying the top dollar cost of the accommodation, best to make use the Rayavadee facilities and leave an excursion for another day. In summary, a great place to stay, and an enjoyable experience, although over-rated by Agoda at 9.2, and the lack of integrity applying such outrageous charges, even by 5 star hotel standards, is disappointing.

One of the elite hide aways...”
Truly excellent and memorable not only for its location but for the 'total' experience. Having experienced the popular 'hotspots' and deciding Thailand had reached its 'sell by date' I found this little jewel a mere 10 minutes boat ride from Ao Nang. Well how quickly I changed my mind and rued I had not elected to spend more time based here... Rayavadee is simply superb; is one of the very best hotels I have ever stayed in and justifies its inclusion in the '20 must stays before you die'. You are pampered and experience the 'good old fashioned' service provided by an attentive and dedicated staff with a genuine desire to please, so absent in very many places these days. Facilities are excellent as is their cuisine. Enjoying the sunset by the beach during Happy Hour is encrypted in my mind and will be treasured.... A must for all who can. Footnote: please respect the dress codes as laid down and show good manners to your fellow guests. Sadly too many nasty sights at breakfast and a number of loud Americans and Germans believing all wished to hear their trite conversations jolted one from total heaven. Thankfully it did not last too long .....
