A little bit of paradise ”
I'm going to start this review by saying that I don't like Pattaya - not one little bit! It's a horrid place, filled with all the kinds of seedy activities and even seedier people that have given Thailand a bad name over the years. It's really not a nice place. That said, however, I will definitely go back to Pattaya now (or Jomtien, anyway), just so that I can stay at the Rabbit Resort again. It is without a doubt one of the most lovely little hidden gems of a hotel that I have ever come across. Jomtien is NOT Pattaya (thankfully)...it has a lovely stretch of beach that one can stroll along, and the Rabbit Resort is on that route. Easy to find (featured on most sat navs), with plentiful parking, it's ideally situated for a 'get-away-from-it-all' break...the hotel has its own section of umbrellas on the beach (free to guests), and the restaurant looks onto the sea... I only stayed one night, but I definitely wished that I could have extended my trip. The room was beautiful...big, bright and airy with quality furniture and a real Thai feel...the staff just could not have been more attentive or professional (without being too over the top), and both owners took time out from their busy schedules to ask us on numerous occasions if everything was ok... Breakfast was excellent (complete with the PERFECT omelette), and lunch was really tasty (and very reasonably priced). The Rabbit Resort routinely gets excellent reviews (and I must admit that there's more than a little part of me would like to keep this particular gem well-hidden and just for my own use), but I've never stayed in a hotel that deserved outstanding comments as much as this one does. Truly top notch...can't wait to go back again (longer this time, I hope!)...well done Mr and Mrs Rabbit - a big thank you to you and your awesome staff for making me want to visit you again...

Pet friendly hotel with "private" beach”
This is our second stay at Rabbit Resort. We are more willing to pay the higher price as it is one of the only places where we don't have to sneak our pet bunny in with us. Rabbit Resort charges 600 baht per night (roughly $20) if you have a pet in your room. Last time we stayed it was only 500 baht. The price went up in the past 8 months ;) The beach is a stretch of Ao Dong Beach that is what I would call "semi-private". Each hotel or resort along the beach in this area has their own small swath of beach where there are umbrellas and chairs set up. Rabbit Resort's little piece of beach is about 15-20 meters wide. It's nice and quiet. You'll often see small dogs and even rabbits (on leashes) with their owners here. My only complaint was that, even though we put our "Do not disturb" sign on our door when we went to eat lunch, our room was unlocked (padlocks on the outside of the room) and cleaned. This is my second hotel in Pattaya in the past year that this has happened, so perhaps it's just that the people who clean the rooms ignore the sign or just don't understand what it means. For this occasion, as the room is locked with a padlock from the outside, I figure the cleaner just knocked several times but since the door was obviously locked from the outside, she assumed (rightly) that there was nobody in the room. Ignoring the "Do not disturb" sign, she unlocked the room and changed our towels and made our bed. She also took our beach towels and did not replace them, but later as we were walking to the beach, another lady ran to the storage building and got us two new beach towels ;) Other than this small problem, the staff was excellent as always. The manager is always very attentive and the owner, Mrs. Rabbit, can often be seen on the property, near the restaurant, greeting guests.

Great Hotel and Great Location”
i want to say that the rabbit resort is easily an escape from the usual hotel arrangements. my room wasn't the typical one you would find on say the forth floor in a crowded hotel. i had a full size kitchen, bathroom, 2 bedrooms with 3 beds, etc. the pools were adaquate size- look up and see a variety of trees with the sun coming through the tops of the trees. it was all very tranquil as i surfed the web (free wifi in the pool area), ordered some food and drink and ate it by the pool (very delicious) and later on that day, ate dinner on the beach with a gorgoues sunset- the rabbit will deliever their food and drink on the beach on their furniture which is free to use as a guest of their hotel. the rabbit resort is different than most hotels in which the taxi will drop you off and make you walk down a private road that is closed during the daytime. i didn't mind this one as much because no one was trying to hassle you by selling things you don't need or want (unlike walking street) and other beach areas. the nightlife is jomiten beach which is quieter and has less things to do than central pattaya- but that is a great tradeoff because you can always go into the city for the experience and escape the city when you want to relax. at night, the road isn't private, but still not a lot of vehicles on it either. while the beds weren't the most comfortable, i've slept on hotel beds which were plenty worse, and really- do you mind it when you are asleep? i didn't wake up with any of those aches and pains that i got with other beds. other than that, bring some bug spray if you are going to take advantage of private patio area because there is plenty of an assortment of plants of all shapes and sizes outside your room- but i didn't mind it since it helps with privacy. the breakfast is also top notch. the best thing about rabbit was their staff- everyone was always smiling, friendly, courtous and very helpful, esp. mrs. rabbit. i would def stay there again if i bring my family.

Pattaya-Lite”
I booked this hotel in Jomtien after finding positive reviews on the internet, especially tripadvisor. It was within close proximity (20 min walk) to the dive shop I was using for the weekend. I came to Pattaya to dive, not take in the night-life so this hotel fit the bill. Jomtien is a quieter beach and Rabbit is located on perhaps the quietest part of Jomtien. The 10 minute walk to the main road (near a 7-11) is peaceful and well lit at night. I call the area the hotel is located in “Pattaya-lite.” There’s no mistaking that you are in Pattaya but there is a bit less Pattaya to see. Probably an ideal spot for those with families. I stayed in a Forest Room, which was larger than I expected. Tons of storage space, full kitchen, a huge bed and a nice bathroom... enough for three people. The room furnishings were also nice touch. The hotel grounds are well manicured. Breakfast was a more than adequate buffet that varied each day I was there. Al la carte menu items appeared to be overpriced. The staff was accommodating and helped me when arranging transportation back to Bangkok. I asked for a late check out as I was diving my final day and as the hotel was not fully booked, I checked out at 4pm at no additional cost. I believe there is a charge associated with late checkouts during the busier, winter season. Rabbit Resort was definitely a peaceful spot that I was looking forward to returning to at the end of each day. I’ll be staying here again if/when I return to Pattaya.

Good place for Mom and Dad”
This is an edit to my previous review where I mistakenly stated that Rabbit Resort was on "Ao Dong Beach". Don't know where that came from!! It is actually on Dong Tarn Beach right near Jomtien Beach. This room was where Mom and Dad stayed as we travelled together. The resort put us in one upstairs room and one downstairs room in the same small building, so we were close to each other. Mom and Dad enjoyed breakfast and enjoyed playing in the water off of the beach. It was nice for me to see them enjoy themselves. It seemed like we were the only ones in the water, the beach was not crowded at all, which made the experience much more relaxing than playing on a crowded beach.

Wonderful Place for Calm Relaxation”
It's hard to find enough superlatives to describe Rabbit Resort. It is probably the last low-rise, low-density beachside resort in Pattaya/Jomtien. All of the spacious cottages are two story with one room on each floor. They are spread throughout a jungle-like garden that is right on Dongtan beach at the north end of Jomtien. The place is beautifully quite and well isolated from the high rise madness that the Pattaya area has become. Rabbit Resort has two freeform swimming pools; one for families and a very quiet one surrounded by shade for adults who just want to relax. The resort has it's own beach area with lounge chairs, umbrellas and service from the restaurant and bar. We ate all of our meals at the resort and enjoyed every one. The buffet breakfast is especially generous and offers a surprisingly wide variety of food. The staff is excellent. They are friendly, attentive and very well trained. If you're headed for the Pattaya/Jomtien area and want a pleasant, quiet, paradise on the beach, head straight for Rabbit Resort.

Best place with attentive owner and great staff !”
We have always steered away from Pattaya because we were confused with the locations available for families, and weren't sure if our friends would enjoy the busyness of the area. But ... By luck, we were able to book the last two rooms at Rabbit Resort .... And we definitely return ! With family, friends, parents ...anyone, anytime, whenever we can ! Rooms excellent - clean, spacious, tasteful, bathrooms superb, linen brand new Restaurant - excellent quality food, great prices, service fabulous Grounds - perfectly groomed, great pools, staff all around the resort are polite and very clean The owner, Mr Rabbit, spoke to each guest daily ... And he was around making sure everything was ok and asking if he could do anything to help. The resort is right in front of the resort and whilst there are quite a few umbrellas, the resort is in the best part of Pattaya between Pattaya and Jomtien ... We will definitely return ... I can't say enough good things and we are really pleased that the two rooms were available ... Thanks again Rabbit resort

Perfect location, tranquil and peaceful.”
tired of the commercialism and hype around "walking street" pattaya, we were looking for the convenience of the entertainment but some tranquility and peaceful beach - lazy weekend. rabbit resort offered both plus a wonderful garden/forest setting, with arrudiya architecture and feeling. the rooms were extremely tasteful and well laid out, it felt like a luxury resort in laid back phuket rather than in up beat pattaya. very happy to have stayed there. many reviews always say "look forward to our next stay", without meaning it, but the friendliness of the staff and genuine interest in our well-being shown by the owners means we really do look forward to our next stay at rabbit resort.

This is a true, small, wonderful boutique resort. ”
There are no negatives at Rabbit Resort - actually very little reason to leave it. This is a true, small, wonderful boutique resort. The staff, including the owners, is available, and offers tremendous insight into every interest. They anticipated our needs and quickly adapted to the way we travel - in ways I had not even been aware. Upon arrival, friendly staff greeted us and whisked away our luggage for check in. We strolled through the beautifully landscaped property that flourished with natural flora and fauna. The wonderful front office staff welcomed us with us chilled lemongrass. The rooms are unique, well appointed, comfortable, and Thai, with beautiful decor personalized by the owner. It was equipped and expertly organized with amenities and custom detail. Need a nice natural kimono for lounging? It was there. Beach towels? A stocked fridge with juices and waters? Orchids placed on your pillow nightly? Place settings? wine glasses? All there. The restaurant’s delicious food kept us coming back, with plenty of variety to satisfy a week plus stay. The resort is located mere steps away from Dongtan Beach. The staffed beach area, with umbrellas and lounging chairs (no fee) makes for easy access, but the pools, one for kids, and one not, were surprisingly inviting. The adult pool was wonderfully clean and relaxing. We never actually saw the family pool… Not surprisingly, the resort seems to attract like-minded travellers. While we treasure our alone time, we were fortunate to make some delightful new friends. Due to the lush greenery, it is actually more beautiful outside than the pictures can show. If you want to walk downstairs and into a bar full of the spectacles of walking street – this resort is not for you. After more than a decade of traveling the world together, this is the first time we have ever booked a return trip.

Excellent Resort”
It isn’t often that I write reviews for hotels but this resort deserves the effort. Often travelling around the world for both work and pleasure this has to be one of the best Hotels/Resorts I have stayed in. I just returned from a 9 night stay at Rabbit Resort and cannot fault any aspect of my stay. Checked in 27 May and they upgraded my room to Gold Forest room R4. The welcome given was an example of things to come with very easy check in and a welcome drink. My room was stunning. Unlike many hotels where the photographs used for their website are only the finest rooms and taken immediately after redecorating, the rooms are just as their website describes and are beautiful. The resort itself is right on the beach just crossing a service road which is closed to traffic from 10am until 5pm everyday and also within an easy 5-10 minute walk of the local town and bars. It‘s hard to explain just how much of an Oasis this resort is. The beach on the doorstep and town close by but then you f

Beautiful Complex, Good Customer Service”
we stayed in the forest room with a balcony, the pictures of the room do not do it justice. the rooms were massive and beautiful, probably the nicest hotel we have stayed in. the hotel is located in a private area with its own section of the beach. it is away from the centre of pattaya which we found to be a good thing, the centre is busy and noisy and the rabbit resort is peaceful and relaxed. the staff here are very helpful and nice, we were travelling to koh chang from here and had problems with our taxi, mrs rabbit and reception helped us contact the taxi company and sort out the problem. if visiting pattaya i would highly recommend staying in this beautiful resort.

Relaxing stay at the Rabbit Resort”
We arrived at the Rabbit Resort having no idea of the area. After driving through downtown Patayya, we were a little worried that the resort might not be as nice as we envisioned it. We were so pleased to enter the Rabbit Resort's grounds and be assured that we had chosen the right spot to stay for 4 nights. All of the staff at the RR were so friendly and helpful every time we saw them! The resort had several pools, many places to sit and read amongst wonderful foliage including orchids on many trees. We loved our room with the balcony. Much planning has gone into the building of the Thai villas so that there is always a feeling of privacy for each one. The cleaning was of a high degree and the restaurant staff always had a smile on their faces, ready to help and assist us in ordering one of their many delicious dishes. Mrs. Rabbit was very friendly and extremely helpful not only for the time we stayed at the Rabbit Resort but also in planning our next hotel in Bangkok amidst the red-shirt demonstrators! My sister and I both felt totally pampered and relaxed after our stay. We highly recommend this hotel!

Best Place in Pattaya/Jomtien!”
If you are heading to the Pattaya area, The Rabbit Resort is the place to stay! I've lived in Thailand for 9 years and I've never had such good service at a hotel/resort. Not even close. It is run by Mr. & Mrs Rabbit, and Mrs. Rabbit came up and introduced herself and was very sweet and helpful. We never got to meet Mr. Rabbit, but that's one of the many reasons why I'd like to return. I knew that we were in for a treat when we were heading to breakfast the first day and one of the staff politely asked us if everything was ok. Was the air-con cold enough? The bed the right level of softness? She even said she'll change the bed if it was too hard or too soft. I think that says enough. Book a room if this is the type of environment and service you're looking for. The ocean is not the cleanest in Thailand, so if you don't want to venture into the sea, there are two pools available - one for families and the other for adults. Enjoy!

Rabbit comments”
The Rabbit Resort is a great beach side hotel with a wonderful tropical ambiance steps from Dong Tan beach, with its offerings of beach chairs and beverage and drinks service. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and mostly bungalow style with traditional architecture. Includes a microwave and small fridge. The morning buffet breakfast is a highlight of its food offerings, but the lunch and dinner offerings could add a little more variety and healthy options. Despite being a beach front loaction, it's remote from the area's nightlife, which requires a short walk or shuttle ride to catch a taxi bus.

A True Oasis”
my husband and i stayed at rabbit resort for 5 days between travelling around and visiting a friend. the hotel is very clean and well kept each day and there are exceptionally caring staff on hand, particularly the manager wendy who saved me from a nasty stomach bug which threatened to ruin the trip by going out of her way to provide some medications which worked within a couple of hours. her kindness was much appreciated and we received the same level of care and attention throughout our stay. breakfast was fantastic, lots of choice so no doubt that there would be something for any taste. the restaurant also offered a good choice of local foods but included some international dishes also. rabbit resort has a beach front which was nice, however the sea did not appear very inviting and we tended to use the lovely pool instead. overall we would stay here again for sure. the place is very peaceful which is just what you need after a night out in the town where it can be a bit intense and crazy! i would not have imagined finding such a nice spot so close to where all the action is. thanks again to all the rabbits for a lovely stay and we hope to see you all again.

"Lovely hotel and service with a smile"”
Our stay at the Rabbit was our 2nd honeymoon and we are just too glad that we chose the Rabbit. A nice simple, classy boutique resort for a nice quite holiday with a fantastic pool, easy access to the beach and great food. If you are looking for a place which is not a concrete block with 5 star services, but a nest in the middle of nature with a lot of privacy, nothing better than the Rabbit in Pattaya. The design, quality and cleaniness of the forest view balcony room is special about this resort. This place was exactly how we saw it in the pics on the internet before we landed here. Very courteous staff and great food. Mr. & Mrs. Rabbit will surely meet you a couple of times during your stay and that just adds up to the feeling of having lived like their personal guest in their home :). Overall I would definetly recommend this resort for anyone who is looking for a quite & private place and for nature lovers.

Summer Camp with Romance and Luxury”
The Rabbit is the last low-rise garden resort in Pattaya, literally on the beach. If your idea of a great stay is a glass and steel tower 30 stories high, there are plenty to choose from. This is not that. From the moment I arrived and was greeted by a man offering a cool glass of guava, they had me. The staff was relentlessly gracious, helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. By the time I left, they were family...Mit who mixes a mean White Russian, Mike who greeted us every afternoon with a smile, owner Deborah who’s the heart of the resort, and Ms. Ang who keeps it all flowing perfectly. The complementary breakfast was delicious. Cabs arrived in minutes to take us wherever we wanted to go. The rooms are double the size of most hotel rooms with alcoves, vaulted ceilings, enormous beds, and old-style fans—all surrounded by magnificent trees in a stunning park-like setting. Was that Bogart and Bacall who just walked by? Anything's possible in this throwback to the past.

An Urban Oasis in Paradise”
After reviewing several options where to spend our free time after our tour of Thailand, we decided on the Rabbit Resort and we are thrilled that we did! The resort is everything we expected and more. Staff is efficient and caring. The rooms have recently been upgraded and are exquisitely appointed. Food at their onsite restaurant, The Grill House, prepares first class cuisine at an affordable price. We ate at other restaurants and they are good, but quality, quantity, and service prevails here. Attractions such as the night market, Walking Street, Beach Road district are nearby.

no rabbits there!”
I can really recommend the Rabbit Resort to anyone! It is very nicely situated on the quiet part of the Jomtien beach road, where no vehicles are allowed between 10 and 17:00 (I think). The walk from the road is a bit long, especially with luggage, but there is a rear car access - your taxi driver isn't likely to know about it tough. The resort is composed of bungalows, which have an upper and a lower part that can be rent separately. The bungalows are in a tropical garden/forest setting. We were first shown a ground floor accomodation. That had a nice thai shower (outside) but it smelled moldy, so that we asked to be moved. I don't think that smell is anyone's fault - given the humidity it would probably take some days of air-condition to dry the place up. The staff was very understanding and eager to please, the service was very good. We also had the opportunity to meet Mr. and Ms. Rabbit, a thai-western mixed couple. Apparently they also own a resort on Bali. I would also like to say that the breakfast is good, fried eggs, bacon, fried rice, fruits, juices, etc. nothing is missing. I would gladly return to the Rabbit Resort anytime!

A hidden gem indeed”
I booked the Rabbit Resort based on previous reviews being very positive. After staying a week there, my impressions are more positive and could not find a single weakness. The location is perfect, being on the beach with no traffic to contend with. The complimentary breakfasts are the best I've encountered. The variety and quality of food is outstanding. I also had several dinners at the resort and found the food to be delicious and reasonably priced. The ownership and workers at the resort are friendly and willing to do anything to make your stay a memorable one.
