Awesome Hotel!
Great location, very clean room and bathroom, and friendly and helpful staff.
My friend and I stayed for 2 nights and we had a wonderful stay in this hotel. Our room was well-kept, very organized and the bathroom was soooo clean! The hotel is located in the middle of everything. Walking around the town of Patong is pretty safe. Claudia and Lyn were so helpful in arranging our transportation needs and practically everything we needed during our stay. We weren't able to take the Phi Phi tour because of overbooked accommodations for the said tour. This will be the reason for us to go back to Patong and stay again in Golden House Hotel.

Good welcoming hotel with friendly staff
Informal friendliness of staff
I was treated well by all the staff in this affordable but reasonably appointed hotel. I was so impressed that I stayed an extra three nights. The hotel is well situated and in walking distance of the beach and good restaurants.

Nice hotel located 15 minutes from the beach
Location, price, motorcycle rentals available at front desk, owners are nice..
my stay got off to a bad start when, after a long flight and drive to phuket, the receptionist treated us very rudely when all we were trying to do was to request a room in the back for my parents because it is the quiet side away from the room. the receptionist didn't want to hear any requests and ignored me, instead relying on her more pleasant co-worker to deal with us. so, i never got to request a room on the same floor as my family because of this b*tch. anyway, after all that and deciding if i wanted to move hotels, it got better as i dealt with the owners instead, who were very nice and accomodating. the rooms are good size but noisy if you stay next to the road but overall, it was a pleasant stay. the walk to the beach is about 15 minutes.

Terrific Price for a Cleanliness and Courtesy
Clean, well-kept, modern
This hotel is clean, well-maintained, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The recent modern additions make it a great deal for the money. The location is good -- 5 to 10 minute walk to the beach. Good local restaurants surrounding as well as a 7/11 and laundry options. It's not far to walk to the shopping mall (15 to 20 minutes) and nightlife of Bang La road.

good location
Great restaurant
this is a nice comfortable hotel for the money i stayed in the off season for 5 days and found it to be good value for money ,the decoration is a little on the pompous side for me and the t/v a little limited, but this is a french owned and run hotel with a very busy restaurant run by an excellent chef, therefore you will find the front foyer and restaurant busy all the time, the owners are very nice and try hard to make life as pleasant as possible.

Great little gem
Price and cleanliness
this hotel is under new owners and they are currently making a few upgrades to the bar/restaurant area. the rooms are very clean, fairly modern, and enjoyable. the bathrooms are clean and large. there is no swimming pool or any of the luxuries of a hotel chain, but you have a huge swimming pool called 'the ocean' just a five minute walk down the road. there are good restaurants nearby and in the hotel. the staff is very helpful. i've stayed at a dozen or so hotels in the area over the past five years, and this is a really good deal for the price. it is well-maintained and comfortable.
