Very cosy and comfortable stay
Clean room, fast internet and friendly staff
The stay at One Hotel Surat was a very comfortable one. The room and bathroom was very clean. Though the facilities were very basic, but it was very comfortable. We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before we could catch our flight back to Malaysia. In general there was nothing much to do or see in Surat Thani, the hotel is located in the city of Surat Thani (about 2-3km off the city/shopping vicinity). So it was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was not that great, had toast and egg everyday and also some Thai local dishes. However, since it was a basic hotel we couldn't expect much. We took our dinner there too but their menus were very misleading and because of the language barrier, the waitress couldn't understand what we actually wanted and what was being served. That was quite difficult for us. The staff at the reception were very helpful, though they had the same language problem they tried as much to help us. They helped by writing down the name of the shops and places we wanted to go in Thai so we could show them to the tuktuk drivers. Very pleasant staffs I must say. In general it was a good stay at the One Surat Hotel and both me and my husband were very contented.

Good value for only overnight stop
Good for overnight, cheap, but clean
The hotel is a good value for the money and only useable for overnight stay, in case you have to catch a flight the next morning or are arriving too late to move on. Breakfast is provided, bvery asian like with hot food, porriage and toasts and eggs. Not bad for the price of the room. The Room was clean and all basic, but good. Would recommend it, if needed.

Good Transit hotel
Clean, Good Food & Great Location
The hotel is located near the down town and can get local food easiliy by walking distance. There was a nearby night market whereby you can get a lot of nice and cheap food there. The massage centre in the hotel is great with reasonable price and skillful massager. The breakfast served by the hotel provides a wide range of selection.

Transit hotel
easy to find, middle of nowhere, transit
We stayed for only one night in this hotel. Believed that the building was not originally built as a hotel. Toilet was unclean , rusting door frame and shower area. It was really just a transit hotel, to koh phangan or koh tao.

A no-frills hotel that offers value for money.
Good location, large rooms
The very large rooms were let down by cheap furniture. The separate bathroom and toilet is a good idea in principle, but there should be a handbasin in the toilet. The (included) breakfast was terrible - most of the food was cold or inedible, or both. The large cockroach that greeted me in the room was a surprise, to say the least. An interesting experience overall.
