Not a great place to stay”
Unless you plan on diving - don’t stay here. Not much else to do really. Staff are not particularly friendly and the owner didn’t speak to us once. Room is basic - no TV, no wardrobe to hang your clothes. Air con is noisy and you can’t adjust it. Our toilet was blocked all the time. Workmen were repairing roof - we were not informed of this and debris came into our room and shower area. Food is ok but not great. I would not recommend this place

          Good and comfortable stay”
Place was clean, nice, and spacious. Its a dive resort so they do many dives a day, at reasonable prices. There was also a variety of good quality food. Our only grouse is that it is located quite deep inside, and it takes about 10-15 mins motorcycle/tricycle ride to get in. But i believe it is the same for the resorts in the areas there. Overall a good stay!

          Step into the Ocean...”
We enjoyed our stay at the Asian Belgian, the staff were helpful and the location blew us away with steps down into the ocean. We were a short walk away from other touristy areas too. Wifi was a little poor in the rooms. *One thing to note was the ‘dive manager’ Steve, he seemed to have a big presence whilst we were there, hanging around the main dining area. Shouting orders, being very loud at times and not so pleasant to some of the staff. Not the end of the world, just thought was worth mentioning? Thanks again for a great stay guys! We loved your big dog too :)

          Old and not kept up”
Too many other places in the area that offer more. No beach, just rocky area at low tide, pool and TV advertised, but no pool and TV only in the overpriced Dolphin rooms. Wifi only decent and near the bar. Dangerous drop off to the water - not safe for small kids. Rooms old, musty (bedding too), water only works when they have power (brown outs common and no back up generator), aircon underpowered for room size. Ceiling about to collapse in room I had and the bamboo mat walls were rotting - so thin can even hear ppl in next room snoring Food decent, but way overpriced. Staff was at least friendly. Had booked for 3 days, but checked out after first night.

          Beautiful breakfeast view! ”
The rooms could go for some updates but they are currently building a 3 storey building. All the Staff were awesome and great to deal with! Jackie, the doggy, was awesome! We missed our pups so giving her belly rubs helped. The free use of kayaks during stay is a plus!

          Bathroom Issue”
Our stay in this resort was actually great. I love everything about this resort- the beach is at most beautiful early in the morning. The staff were all very nice and accommodating, The rooms were homey as well. Our only issue was with the private bathrooms: 1. We actually hoped that theres a floor towel (not floor mat) to be placed by the shower so we didnt have to walk around dripping wet. 2. A towel hanger by the sink would be helpful so we dont have to walk across (again, dripping wet) Lastly 3. The shower head REALLY needs to be replaced. We had a hard time showering because there wasnt enough water coming out. This review isnt to put down the resort. Just some minor improvements in MY opinion. Surely i will still come back to this resort. The beach in the morning is really something. Thank you Asian-Belgian Resort for the wonderful stay.

          Acceptable”
The rooms were cleaned but there are bugs around. Environment like the lawns, needs to be cleaned. Leaves were everywhere and there were even dog poop. Some light bulbs were busted. Pictures on the web needs to be updated. Food was great and the staffs were nice. Massage was terrible and unhygienic with therapists coughing a lot.

Location was hard to access without a vehicle, but overall a great stay, if not for the showering facility. The shower head needs repairing due to the fact that it is just dripping water when turned on full.

          Sanctuary for Great Runaway! ”
Asian Belgian Resort (ABR) is a simple yet complete resort. I came over to Cebu City for a week's business trip and went on to MoalBoal for a 3 days breather. ABR is a good place to rest, or even runaway from the busy work if you are not an avid diver. They provide free WiFi resort-wide which is convenient for me to reply emails, though it is not strong but good enough. As the inner location might be the reason of less strong signal. The water here is crystal clear, and you don't have to go far to see ocean life. I had merely done a very short distance swim to soak in to view the pretty sunset. I was greeted with many fishes, starfishes and even baby snakes! It is pristine with hermits and truly unpolluted. If you want to get a diving licence or you are a serial diver, here is a paradise for you. The owner is from Belgium as resort name suggested, he is upgrading the facility with installment of a bar area near the snooker table, and in plan for a more comfy 3 story rooms.

          Exceptional”
If you want a rest stop in moalboal before going to kawasan or oslob, this place is expensive. It is a perfect place to spend a few nights and explore all the activities they have to offer. The beach front is picture perfect with clear and shallow water. Their rooms were very clean although we experienced some problem with hot water. They said it will take time to fix it. We were on a tight schedule, so, we didn't ask them to fix it before we leave. However, the staff was responsible and offered us an alternative solution. The food was good and slightly pricey.

          Look elsewhere!”
No! Just no! We travel a lot and never had this bad of an experience.... First off It's in the middle of no where so you're completely trapped! And when we asked to book canyoneering they quoted us 3500 pesos per person which is a rip off....More than double what we paid through Highlands Canyoneering! And to book a car ride to Oslob 3500 peso quote... again double what we paid and should cost! No pool and room felt like a cave! Other than the rum and coke and cute dog this place was terrible! Total regret staying here! I'd Try next door at Dolphin Dive resort... seems nicer with a pool! A bit more expensive but you get what you pay for!

          Best value ”
The first thing that struck me were the staffs kind hospitability. They were very helpful with my endless queries. The hotel is really cosy and you can practically walk to the beach from the stairs during high tide and see loads of fishes even by walking in the shallow waters. Very near to panagsama area as well via 15 mins tricycle ride . Free kayaking also!
