Amazing service and food!”
The staff was amazing keeping dinner for us even though we arrived after 10pm. The food was amazing and the game drive guide had amazing knowledge of the animals and there was a lot to see.

I loved my stay there. The rooms are beautiful,clean and staff clean everyday. The facilities are great and clean . The food is so delicious and the staff so professional and respectful at all times. The spa treatment was amazing !!!

Weekend getaway”
The accommodation is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The views are amazing. It's a place for relaxation. The food was average but the staff were very accommodating to requests. The SPA was disappointing. For the price we paid for massages we expected better. But other than that its a lovely get away and the staff there are amazing. One recommendation would be to create hiking trails there if possible.

City break for Mom and I ”
What a perfect spot for a break during these challenging times. Staff are super attentive and friendly esp Patricia and Dumisani! We enjoyed the spa, the restaurant (excellent food) and the game drives. Will definitely be back.

Askari lodge is definitely a place to visit. ”
Askari lodge.. Beautiful location, exceptional staff. They are very organized and friendly. It is a beautiful place, rooms were very clean and comfortable. The food was amazing at the restaurant for dinner! However I do feel there should be a little more activities. We didn’t have great weather so no elephants unfortunately or game drives. Other then that really had a good time

Improvements to consider”
1. Restaurant service and overall general management below expectations - staff training in restaurant needs attention 2. Restaurant for lunch could be improved and in line with 1 above, restaurant cleanliness around the tables was quite disappointing (floor littered with paper, and tables were not clean) 3. Too many ants in the rooms - exacerbated by the rain during our stay 4. Dinner menu can be more creative although food was good (breakfast coffee not great, but we only found out on last day of stay, cuppacino's are made in the kitchen) :-( 5. overall the place is a good, with location very convenient if you live in Jhb, but I sense that there is a general management issue which needs to be addressed to make this place an even greater venue (exceptional potential to be better), with very little or no further investment

Lovely getaway out of the city”
We had a wonderful stay. A beautiful lodge! Enjoyed the peace and quiet. Was surprised at the amount of animals we saw. The food was excellent although not a wide selection. The staff was very professional and helpful. Beautiful clean rooms.

Stunning accommodation with beautiful surroundings”
Excellent accomodation, the one downside was that the accommodation was a bit of a distance from the parking. The hotel should invest in a golf cart to transport guests to their rooms. There was insufficient parking for guests.

A feast of wiild life”
Having spent two nights at Askari, we came away relaxed and refreshed. A bonus for us was the exceptional amount of game we saw on the two drives we took. However, we feel that the cost of the drives should be included in the package. Game rangers are outstanding from a knowledge point of view and at interacting with holiday makers. All in all most enjoyable and we would do it again!
