A fantastic place to stay. Its a very well designed resorts with all budget rooms and the common facilities to hangout are extra ordinary. Very well maintained property with a private beach. The restaurant near the beach serves very delicious food. The staff is very warm and welcoming. I strongly recommend to chose this resort in Koh Tao than going to the crowded hotels near sairee beach. They have a dive center too. So its a perfect package for Koh Tao.

The bay is calm and chill vibe. I can sit at the lobby whole day just to look at incredible beatiful and relax Chaloke Bay. The staff, Simon, give us very useful recommendation on hiking and diving spot in koh tao. Such a great experience there!

One night stay. Hotel good but let down with a lot of bites”
We stayed for one night as our travel plans were changed. Easy check in, staff were nice, location was excellent right on the beach. However, hugely let down as we left the resort and my partner found a lot of bites on her legs. The bites look like bed bug bites due to their location, size and blistering. If you are staying for diving facilities and team the place is probably excellent but for a night or two I wouldn’t recommend due to the bed bugs.

Dirty Beach in Beautiful environment”
The ocean view is wide angled nice. Food is nice. Room aircon is cold. This hotel is linked with another hotel named fisherman. Everything is great except the cleanliness. They rear some dogs at the beach and the dogs are pees and shitting everywhere at the chairs, table, beach, grass. So you will smell a strong dog shit smell. Causing Flies everywhere especially you sit at the beach wooden platform. So its irritating when you see the flies are touching your food and your body... I will not come back again , hope the owner will take note on this issue for sure business with grow

Although is really good located close to the beach, it is not a resort. The room wasn’t clean, needed to ask for cleaning it like 4 times until they finally did it. The bathroom, shower, sink doesn’t work. It was not a good experience. Good for divining, NOT for staying

We loved Assava so much we came twice! We are on an extended trip and came in February, then spent a month in Vietnam and came back for another week. . Beautiful place with lovely staff all around, from the dive instructors to the restaurant staff. . My husband completed his open water and our 8 and 10 year old girls got to do a shallow dive, which was absolutely amazing. One day we hope to return!

Nice simple hostel at the beach”
I enjoyed my stay at Assavah. Stayed in a 4-bed room with simple beds (unfortunately without curtains) and good mattresses. The whole area was nice and clean and the beach was also pretty. They have hammocks and a chill area. I didn’t eat at the restaurant but I’ve heard it’s good. I liked the part of the island because it’s quiet but I would recommend renting a scooter anyways. :) and I thought it was funny they are growing weed everywhere 😅
