This villa was amazing, its a smart villa which has Alexa, and it’s pretty new so it’s really clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and polite and made sure we felt welcome.

Beautiful Canggu Resort”
Fantastic and new hotel in Canggu. Staff was wonderful, and the room had the most stunning architecture and thoughtful additions, including a hammock, hot tub, pool (we had one of the suites overlooking the rice paddies). Only downside was the distance from the main area of Canggu, though it is within a short walking distance, but is further away from the main hustle and bustle and food options.

Big Villa with Private Pool”
Love the big room with the techy gadget. We were surprised that the villa do not provide baby cot, probably it is more catered to honeymooner. The service recovery was quick and they provided us with an extra bed which was really proper and didn't charge us for it. We love the restaurants nearby the hotel and the view with the paddy view were great, we didn't feel we missed out on the beach view which is just a short bike ride away.

The stay was great. Clean villa, cool feature (alexa and jacuzzi), comfy bed, attentive staff. Main pool is beautiful and you can see sunset. Breakfast choice could be more. The only down was the sofa is not balance, when we ordered room service it’s not comfortable to eat. Online transport are not allowed, funny that they banned taxi too. So make sure you have your own transport here.

I have previously stayed here which was good but this time I opted for the 1 bedroom villa which is across the street. Firstly the room design is bizarre and does not flow well. Furniture is cheap. Sofa is uncomfortable. But secondly and most importantly at 8am the construction work for their restaurant starts and you have no chance to sleep over drilling and hammering noises!

The room is nice but the walkway to our room was a dread as it was raining most times and it got muddy and dirty everytime we had to go out or in!

Overall was fine, but with that price we expect to have at least a breakfast buffet or at least allow us to order 2 portion of breakfast. The bedsheets was not that clean as we spotted a few stains. Facilities was just fine. Could get a better hotel in canggu with this price.

Underwhelming ”
Stayed there in Nov 2022. The room is worn out , lots of moulds in all the window / door frames (and there are a lot of frames) including the toilet panels , counter tops etc.. The toilet has a foul sewage smell coming out from the sink which u smell it every time u wash hands or face. The pool is really really small to begin with and then more than half is not swimmable area as it is the shallow part of approx 5cm deep Spa is in a make shift toilet turn into spa room , with part time therapist hired from outside on a need basis They charge us money for a bucket of ice! For the first time in a non budget hotel I had to pay for ice . I really wonder what they gain from charging us the ice other than losing us and whoever who read this review as customers. This place you can’t grab, gocar or taxi, only can use their local transport which is more expensive than grab .. otherwise transportation is still fine I won’t recommend you staying here, There are many better places in Bali

Poor service and light fingered staff”
Our experience started with the 3 staff staying seated whilst we struggled opening the door with our luggage. Pleasant but unhelpful staff. Breakfast looks nice but is cold and tastes stale. Coffee creamer is not an acceptable substitute in a hotel at this price point. Taxis/Gojek etc banned from this area, so you are stuck with expensive drivers. They ran out of beer after we drank the 2 in the fridge. Bed and villa comfortable however. To top it off had $200 aud stolen out of our bag. When pointed out to the girl on checkout, she couldn’t have been more disinterested. Doesn’t live up to the high ratings unfortunately

Room was very clean everyday after housekeeping. Location wise was a bit far from the tourist attractions area. Staffs were all friendly. Only down side is you have to walk on sand to your room instead of normal pavement but other than that all is good

Had accident while playing ATV”
We would like to sincerely thank all the staff for taking care of us during our stay. We really appreciate all the thoughtful gestures especially after manager Ayu and Supervisor Triyu found out about my accident, which I dislocated my arm and had to stay in Ubud for a night. They picked us up from Payangan Hospital down back to our villa without any charges. Simply just caring for us. We are really grateful to have met all of you during this trip, as well as Trisna who is always there when we needed something and that made our first Bali experience a much better one despite my accident. Wish you all the best and we will surely visit Bali and visit you guys again. Love the stay and the wonderful hospitality of ASTERA Canggu! Thank you! 🙏🏻

It was a very pleasant stay with great amenities and super clean, really appreciated that. It has a very modern vibes. Loved the infinity pool so much. Staff was kind and approachable and helped us out with enthusiasm. Few things to note is the jacuzzi often gets leaves etc in it and they often set up your room in the morning and evening to create night mode. Personally i prefer less people in my room as possible… Overall a very nice stay and convenient to go around Canggu.

We had a great stay at Astera Villa, the one bedroom Villa with private pool was stunning. We received a complimentary afternoon tea which was a nice touch. The location is a little out of town but Grab was easily accessible. There is no full length mirror but other than that we had the perfect stay.
