Much Better Alternatives for the Same Price”
Let's start with the primary fact about this hotel. It is small. Don't believe the photographs. IT IS VERY SMALL. It must be designed for small people or hobbits in mind. The rooms are small, the bathrooms are smaller, the corridors are very narrow, the breakfast area is small (some tables and chairs are practically impossible to sit and eat in), the reception area is nonexistent, the elevator is small (only one person can travel without another breathing in his face), the staircases are so narrow that only one person can ascend or descend at the same time. Adding to this, paper thin walls between the rooms means that normal talking voices of every guest can be heard. To sum up, the management should seriously think about halving the number of rooms to create a livable hotel. Apart from the size of the hotel, the advertised free wi-fi connection was erratic at best. Sometimes it worked ok, sometimes you could not connect for hours.

Pretty bad, to say the least”
The rooms are old, not well maintained and the bed is not great. You can hear absolutely everything from the corridor, other room, outside. It was an awful night.

Good location, gross room”
Pros: good location, quite street, cheap rates, nice looking exterior. Cons: staff was not particularly knowledgeable, the room was very dirty with stains on the carpet, mold in shower, beat up walls, hair under the fitted sheet. Asked for a non smoking room and our room smelled very strongly of smoke.

not come back”
the room is too small, it fits the bed (square is about 7m2) The elevator dimension is about 70cmx70cm so that 2 persons stand very difficulty. Aston must be the hostel not the hotel

Great location but not worth the breakfast ”
We spent there 2 nights. The location is great, the surrounding area is nice and very well served by the metro. The room was very tiny but quite cozy at a first look. Then we noticed the toilet door was all scratched and that a part of the bed was ruined and covered with pillows. The toilet wasn’t very cleaned and also the day after the first night they came in to clean up left dirty anyway. I chose to have breakfast at the hotel because eating around Paris is very expensive but the breakfast at Aston is not worth a dollar. The breakfast room is underground with the view on a fake stone and the tv on, let’s not consider the food which is of terrible quality. I would recommend to choose Aston hotel with out any expectation. It is not an horrible place to be but isn’t worth the money they ask for

Superb location”
in a quiet courtyard in the 9th arrondissement, this small b&b-style property provides neat and tidy rooms within walking distance of the louvre. around the corner from the grand boulevard metro stop, the aston hotel represents a good deal on accommodation in a safe and tranquil environment. the shops of boulevard haussmann are just up the road as is opera garnier, while the louvre can be reached on foot in around 15 minutes, the seine and pont neuf just a little bit further. accommodations here are compact, clean and functional, and a continental breakfast buffet is served on site. the hotel is just on the edge of the 2nd arrondissement where traditional arched galleries offer cafes, clothes boutiques and brasseries by the score.

Nice location in the centre of bars and theatres”
Great little hotel in the middle of Opera area. Comfortable bed and really enjoyed our stay. Had a great deal from Agoda and paid up front on credit card. The only negative for us was being charged hotel tax on top of the booking and being asked if we used any tea or coffee in the room. We said yes and were charged for the 3 coffee's and 1 tea also.... !

very good option for budget travelers”
The charming building in a convenient location dates from the 19th century, and it is in very good shape. Our standard room was compact but comfortable - it featured a small closet, mini-bar, safety-deposit box, complimentary coffee and tea, nice bathroom amenities, and flat-screen TV with international programming. We requested early check-in and the gentleman at reception was able to fulfill our wish - he seemed very happy to go the extra mile to help. We stayed only a single night and did not have a chance to try the breakfast because our flight departed very early. Because we were on the first floor, we used the stairs instead of the tiny elevator (it is not easy to install lifts in constructions of this period). We were satisfied with the price that we paid. Most importantly, all staff members were truly service-oriented and courteous. We felt very very welcome. Hopefully we'll return to Paris - and will definitely try to book this hotel again!

great location”
Really enjoyed this hotel - if in Paris again wouldn't stay anywhere else. Room and bathroom small but comfortable, well serviced every day and pleasant staff. Location was great, just 20 minutes walk to the Louvre, masses of cafes and restaurants nearby, theatres and metro. Didn't have breakfast included in room rate but just over the road a place where you could get coffee and pastries - $6 for 2 people

Good location, easy on the budget”
Hotel room is small, as is common in Paris. A bit hard to find at first due to somewhat hidden location. Staff needs to be reminded to clean up the room and re-stock toiletries (soap, shampoo, etc.). Wallpaper needs to be replaced or re-installed. Walls are paper thin and you can hear the racket from the street below. You get what you pay for, I suppose. But the rate is great for the location: close to the Grands Opera Station and the nightlife along Bd. Poissoniere, walking distance to the Louvre and Galleries Lafayette. If you have a bit mire cash to spend, look for a newly-renovated hotel instead.
