Too noisy at night ”
There is a mosque nearby and the prayer started in the morning at around 4am.... Making us very restless. It will be good if the room is sound proof. Other than that, cleanliness and staff is very friendly.

Excellent staff service, great location but a bit disappointed with the hotel AC, AC was not cold enough at first night, we went to complaint about it and it get better. Toilet shower handheld was broken. Breakfast : Was cold and taste so-so. could still improve more.

What a gem!”
Our Jambi weekend to see the historic site of Muaro Jambi worked well due to staying at the Ashton hotel. Despite having "convention" in its name that suggests large, this newly opened hotel (8 months in Aug.) has the feel, service, and comfort of a boutique hotel. We arrived on an early flight from Jakarta, checked in early, arranged a car through the hotel staff (2 attempts) and were on our way to Muaro Jambi within an hour of our arrival. A complimentary jug of lemon flavored water in the lobby as well as greetings by name by the hotel staff made our stay quite comfortable. My only quibble is that a small printed map of the area would make it easier to explore the area that's well positioned with about 6 batik shops on the main street about 3 - 5 minutes to the right of the hotel. In the same direction is the Dine and Chat Coffee shop that has great drinks, pastries and Western (pizza) and Indonesian (noodles and gado2) dishes. Immediately across the street from the hotel is a small Padang restaurant that grills fresh fish on the sidewalk. A 20 - 30 minute stroll to the left of the hotel includes the 1,000 pillar mosque (largest one), the traditional market, and the largest shopping mall that has river views. However, the engaging front desk staff, especially the fellow with a cruise background, are quite helpful. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it as a quick weekend away from Jakarta.

Stay for one night. Clean as it is latest hotel in jambi. Convinience store is in walking distance, some local food also in walking distance. The lounge on the roof give anothererpective of jambi. Room is not very big and amenities are well placed. Didnt take the breakfast package so could comment much about it. They arrange me a taxi which run with meter, and the meter was right. So, good experience with aston. Well done

My stay at Aston Jambi Hotel was fine. The room was clean and large, good bathroom amenities. This hotel was recently opened in December 2013, so it's in the soft opening period. Overall stay was perfect. Good breakfast and helpful staffs, from their security personnel until reception staffs.
