The king bed was nice, the room was spacious enough, and I got a room on the top floor, which was in a quiet corner. However, it wasn't very soundproof, but it wasn't a problem. Out of the 4 pillows, one pillowcase was already worn out. The bedspread also had some marks and stains, but they weren't too noticeable and didn't bother me. The TV wasn't a smart TV, but there were LOADS of channels, so I wouldn't get bored. The gym was a bit disappointing, but that's okay, haha. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was decent. I just missed naan bread and dhaal, but unfortunately, they only had it at a stand that changed every day, so I could only have it once.

School holiday staycation for kids at Aston Pasteur, complete facilities although the swimming pool is small but the kids are happy, a variety of breakfast menu, friendly staff who are very helpful, the family room type is quite spacious but unfortunately the bathroom doesn't have a direct faucet/shower spray so it's a bit difficult for ablution because you have to use the shower for bathing, the lift is also small so you have to queue, other than that it's okay.

The Good: The price is fair and offers great value—you get a clean and comfortable room with a soft bed, strong shower, and spotless toilet. Facilities are also a major plus: the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and gym were a treat and well-maintained. The location is very convenient, especially for those arriving by train—Bandung Station is just a short drive away. One unexpected highlight was the room service food. Absolutely delicious! The Sweet Quesadilla was a standout, and the Mie Goreng Kambing? Easily one of the best I’ve had—flavorful and satisfying. We also appreciated the connecting room, which made the stay more enjoyable for our group. The Not-So-Good: However, service could use improvement. The staff on the phone didn’t sound warm—more like we were bothering them. When our food arrived at 11:00 AM, the waiter bluntly reminded us to check out by 12 PM, which felt out of place and unnecessarily cold during a meal. We were also told by reception that massage service was available the next day at 10 AM without a booking, only to be told the next morning that it was already fully booked. Lastly, we waited 30 minutes for towels at the pool—something that should’ve been quicker given the hotel’s standards. Verdict: Still, Aston Pasteur remains a solid choice for travelers seeking good value, great food, and nice facilities in Bandung. Just be prepared for a few hiccups in the service department.

The location is very strategic—just a few minutes from the Pasteur toll gate, which made it really convenient for both my arrival and departure. It’s also close to several shopping centers like Paris Van Java and Istana Plaza. The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the essentials such as a comfortable bed, working desk, minibar, and a nice hot shower. However, since the hotel is located near a main road, I could sometimes hear traffic noise from my room. What I really enjoyed the most was the breakfast. There were so many choices, from traditional Indonesian dishes to Western-style pastries. Everything was fresh and delicious. I especially loved the green tea cake—definitely a highlight. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The check-in and check-out process was quick, and they even accommodated a few of my special requests. The hotel also has a swimming pool and fitness center, although I didn’t get a chance to use them this time. Hopefully, next visit! Overall, I would recommend Aston Pasteur to both business travelers and families looking for a comfortable and accessible place to stay in Bandung. I would definitely consider staying here again.
