Hidden gem”
Located a bit hidden behind a chaotic street, but definitely a gem. Pros: Love the pillow, soft but not sagging, perfect fit for my neck. Room is clean and spacious and well arranged with sufficient furniture for a business traveler (read: a proper office chair and desk). Cons: the building is a bit on the old side, although it's well maintained in the public area, the room where I was in could use a little touch up. There seems to be some weird drum beat all through the night (like from a night club) which reaches up to the fifth floor (where I was). Might not be a night club since it continued on until 5 am, so this may not be a fit for light sleepers. Might need a deep clean as I found some small critters coming out from its hiding place.

Generally great experience ”
Everything is perfect from the room, to security and friendly receptionist. My only problem is the slow service of their cafe. Its difficult to get their attention to make an order and room service at midnight/early morning can be super slow. Apart from these, clean room, housekeeping does a great job and there's 3 ATM at the hotel lobby. Will continue to stay at Aston Pontianak next time.

Nice Hotel, Good location”
I travelled to pontianak with 3 kids and 4 adults. It stayed in Aston Pontianak. My room was far from elevator because I took 2 superior rooms with connecting room. If you want to stay close to elevator, you should stay in deluxe room. During my stay, the small pool was under renovation. The hotel was nice, food was good. The location is in the city close to culinary area, easy to find food. The hotel is not well maintained especially in the elevator from parking area. It is recommended to stay, Aston is one of the best hotel in Pontianak.

Everything is Great about this Hotel except.. ”
The room was great...no issue. There's 3 ATM at the entrace. Room service is 24 hours. My one and only problem is the food quality. I tried most of the food and it taste really bad. Such as the fried rice, the spaghetti, the dim sum.. Etc. Food choices are also not many. The service at the restaurant and lounge was also terrible. Its really hard to call the waitress and make an order or to call for bill. It seem that waitress are so few and they work accoss The Dynasty restaurant, thr Majestic cafe and the lounge. I hope Aston will improve this.

This is a large hotel with all the expected facilities for such a big place and a very solicitous and helpful staff. It is well maintained, efficient and quite clean but beginning to show its age. The big open air pool is a great feature.

One Reasonable Choice to Stay in Pontianak”
Thanks to the hotel receptionist for upgrading my room with no additional charge. Although the room and the shower, the elevator and the dining hall are quite old but you still can manage it due to the hotel price and friendly plus helpful hotel staff. The breakfast has a wide selections, especially the local delicacies. This hotel also strategically located in culinary area of Pontianak so you will find many local and legendary food around the neighborhood.
