We stay in Aston Sunset Beach Gili Trawangan from Dec 25 - 29, 2020. The room is clean ans spacious, staff are great and helpful, the breakfast is standard (almost low) but the dinner with fresh grill fish is awesome. I like the beach movies, the biking experience, and the sound of waves here. The pool is just in front of our room so it's great. There is a convenient store in walking distance close at 8pm so it's very helpful for snacking. Dispite it's a remote place, I love this place so much during the pandemic. I wish it's not too crowded during the normal season as well. So, see you again at this 2021 year end..

Aston is an amazing resort. It was extremely clean and had a great buffet. If you’re looking to relax this is the place. Looking to party, then grab a bike that the resort offers for free and bike to the other side. The staff are all amazing who are ready to help you out anytime. We didn’t eat at the resort only had the breakfast buffet. They had a ton of options and food was hot. We were very very pleased to be there. Would definitely recommend and come again!

👍👏😀Impressive pool, beach restaurant with cinema and evening buffet, great area to relax, large clean rooms, giant tree-lined hotel, bicycles a lot of assistance, very helpful staff. The bed was great, wonderful sheets and pillows, congratulations. 🙄Our room 3212 was dimly lit, and the bathroom needs repair. The buffet breakfast has good options but I didn't find it tasty, I just liked the omelet and the breads and fruits.

Great sunset, movie and service”
Aston is probably the most popular spot on the island for a sunset. The best thing is that they have movies playing on the beach after sunset. We watched some great Hollywood movies while sipping cocktails and munching on grilled corns! The service is also top notched, staff is very friendly and all smiles. There is a diving center right next to the lobby and we joined a 2 day course which was an excellent experience as well. For travelling around the island, there are bikes to borrow from the hotel which is very convenient. Would love to stay in Aston again!

Wow! We got upgraded to the nicest villa ever, complete with pool, garden, beautiful bath, carved 4 poster. It was amazing. But even if you don't get a lucky upgrade, this place has the nicest people ever! Gili T remains quiet but the staff genuinely cared about every part of our experience. Excellent breakfast! We ate out, but the food was just as good at the hotel. And we kind of enjoyed the movie on the beach we have to admit. The staff was happy to arrange transport to and from the airport. This hotel was wonderful.

I stayed at Aston Sunset Beach for 3 nights. Their hospitality is absolutely EXCELLENT! All staff are superb kind and friendly, they even taught me how to ride a bicycle. If you want to enjoy sunset, this place is a great choice since they have the best sunset scenery in Gili Trawangan, yet the price is affordable. Definitely I will come back here someday.

Beautiful hotel. The hotel grounds are picture perfect. The pool is the huge, the perfect temperature, with tons of pool chairs. The location of the hotel is right across the street from the beach! They have their own swing on the beach. They offer restaurant seating indoors and on the beach. Food was average but had good menu selection. Good breakfast buffet. During the afternoon, the hotel offers free cakes/pastry snacks, coffee, iced green/lemon tea, and coffee. Really enjoyed this! Lots of free activities offered by the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They spoke English well. They have free bike rentals, board games., and a nightly outdoor movie. The resort is huge. Our room was at the very back end of the hotel and unfortunately was quite a far walk. We were woken up around 4:30 AM to a speakerphone morning prayer. The hotel is on the quieter side of the island. Not too many hotels nearby and a lot of empty land full of garbage surrounding it.

Very nice hotel, good sized rooms, well furnished, lovely pool, great breakfast, great staff. Only con was occasionally running out of hot water. Suggest changing the shower heads to water saver variety. The shower heads installed clearly drain the tank too quickly are great if you’re first up.

The Aston Sunset Beach Resort is quite nice hotel in Gili T island, however, you need take 15mins horse cab to be there. There are nice pool for you to swim and great open-air cinema. The breakfast is very nice~

A great 4-star resort to stay in the Gili Trawangan; Away from it all – good for relaxation in the sun-kissed beach with clear blue skies. Free open-air movies nightly. Breakfast was great with a good spread. Staff very friendly especially those in front office. Unfortunately, did not see a good sunset whilst there due to the cloudy weather in the evenings. A secluded resort & quite a distance from the habour [where the main shops & activities are]. However, you can easily take a bicycle [compliments from the resort] & reach the habour within half an hour. Alternatively, you can take a horse cart [150K rupiah, one way] to the harbor.

If you want to enjoy the sunsets, this is the place, If you have kids, this is the place. If you like a nice poo, this is the place. If you like DRIVE-N movies, this is place. Bike rentals out front, and there are always horse carriages at the ready. I even walked down to the stable and rode horse on the beach. Also, there are other little bars and resorts nearby if you like to explore. Only disadvantage is you a bit away from the main town, but a 15 minute buggy ride and your there.

Pros: Amazing hotel, amazing spacious rooms and bathrooms. Very nice balconies where you can chill out in a chezlongue. Great swimming pool. Gorgeous, quiet garden. Nice breakfasts. Amazing staff. The hotel arranges dinner and movies at the beach with stunning sunset views. Cons: This is not the hotel’s drawback, just a hint for the travellers. The hotel is located at the western, less populous side of Gili T where the wind blows all the time, so the swimming is not good there.
