One of the best in Victoria, London”
Whilst not inexpensive, this a very modern appointed hotel and deserves its high rating. It is one of, if not far away, the best hotels in the Victoria area of London. The rooms are very modern and well appointed. Many appear to be different in size and type. A great place to treat a loved one.
Astors Hotel is one of the few up market hotels in the Victoria area of London. It is modern and smart looking and very comfortable. The personnel are first class on offering service, again well ahead well ahead of most in London.
Great location, nice staff, good value for money”
Had a very pleasant stay at Astors Belgravia. The location is great and I got a very good price. Staff is very nice and helpful, and rooms are clean. Just 2 suggestions for improvement: 1. It would be good if you include more variety into the breakfast, at least egg station; 2. The bed is to small for 2 people and the mattress is old and not comfortable. A good rest is essential for the guests so I think this would be a small investment compared to the satisfaction it would give to your guests. Still overall had a great stay here and I’d recommend it.
great location. comfortable room”
this hotel location is just perfect. it is only 3 minutes walk to the Victoria coach station and 5 minutes walk to the Victoria train station. lots of food to eat around here and supermarket is within 2 minutes walk as well. easy to get around. bed is comfortable. price is good. would recommend to others
Not a very nice experience ”
We arrived at about 9 am. The staff was quite friendly, and told us to return at 2 pm for check-in. We went exploring and came back at 2 but was told that our room was still not ready and that we could wait in the common room in the meantime. Waited for more than 45 minutes and no one bothered to update us about the status of our room until we had to ask again. When we did, the staff told us that our room was still not ready and that it MIGHT take another 30 mins to an hour. We just got off our flight and were dirty & tired. It wasn’t a very nice experience. The next morning during check-out, the staff manning the counter was lying on the couch and told us to leave our room card on the table and left us with a rather curt ‘just go’. While the room was adequate and location was quite nice, we would not return again because of the general service we received at the b&b.
The location is perfect and near to London Victoria station. Staff are nice and helpful. The room is not very small and everything is handy.
Do not request for high floor if you have large heavy luggage and/or unable to climb stairs. There is no lift in the hotel.
We were feeling pretty worried after reading the reviews online but that’s totally uncalled for! It was a pleasant stay. The staff at front desk were helpful and were always greeting us with a smile. The room is small but it is London, what were you expecting for the price paid? The location is good too; a 10 mins stroll to Victoria station. The bed was really comfortable and the water pressure is strong in the shower. Some points to be improved: One of the drinking water was opened and consumed upon check in. They also do not replace the drinking water during room service. They only replaced the towels and made up the bed. There’s some dusty spots in the room but I wouldn’t fault it. Overall a really comfortable and pleasant stay! I would recommend it!
Great location, friendly staff”
The hotel is just minutes away from Victoria coach and tube stations, with some nice restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was a little small, which we expected, but was clean, comfortable and quiet.
Not as much a Hotel as a B&B. Park bench not much worse and cheaper.”
Well positioned near Victoria Coach station and Victoria mainline and tube. This is the B&B with the worst and most repetitive breakfast I have ever seen. Nothing cooked freshly, cold ham, cheese, bread. I stayed here with my partner for a total of 8 nights and I can tell you that I would never go back. The rooms and beds are poxy (small). The facilities are non existent. The price is so inflated for what you get. There is not enough room for two adults o sleep in their so called large double bed. I got a club room expecting more for the extra in price but it is just a name. We were put in a basic room when we arrived. It was in the basement. We were kept awake by the sound of underground trains which ran until 1am and started again at 5am. I was not compensated for not getting the club room I had paid for on a higher floor. The room's air conditioning was a joke. we were sweating with it on full in a very small room, totally inadequate, we were there during the heatwave in July.
The location and the price you pay to stay at this hotel is amazing. You are literally a 10 minute walk to Buckingham Palace and many other attractions nearby. My wife is very sensitive to smells and our pillows smelled of mildew as if they were left in the washing machine too long. Other than that it was a pleasant hotel to stay at. The stairs are a bit narrow and there is no elevator. So be aware that you might have to do some climbing.
Fab location, great staff”
Stayed her for a sightseeing and shopping trip with my 12 year old daughter. Location great within walkable distance to most of the main sights of london and only a couple of mins walk from victoria coach and tube station. Staff were fab and let is leave our bags before check in time so we could get on with our day. Attractive clean rooms with water, biscuits, kettle, tea, coffee, hairdryer, safety deposit box, wifi, tv etc. Lovely well stocked bathroom. Delicious breakfast included filled us enough we didnt need any lunch. Staff let us leave bags again after check out so we didnt have to carry them around shopping. We picked bags up on day of check out at 10pm ready to get the coach home. Were coming back to london and will use this hotel again.
Look for a location would be the right choice for this one”
Hotel is a small and nice and very kind staffs!!but be prepare to stay at underground floor...not sure about UK but I wouldn’t pay same money for that room in Australia..except that underground floor room, free breakfast and amazing staffs and very convenient location to Victoria station and Victoria coach made my trip a lot easier!!
Expensive with a repedative crap breakfast”
Crap rooms (small and ill equipped) Tiny beds ( two adults could not sleep comfortably) Terrible breakfast and very repedative Crap air conditioning ( rooms hot despite being at the lowest setting) Dont get the basement room as the trains can be heard patiently till one in the morning and start again at 5am Nowhere safe to store baggage No room service No difference between so called club rooms and doubles Bathroom toilet set so high that I as a grown man of 5'8", could not get my feet to touch the ground. I felt like a 5 year old. Sink also set too high. I know I installed bathrooms and kitchens. Smelly rooms ( had to ask for air freshener) This is not a hotel but barely a 2 star B&B at best in a good location. The staff there were the best part of the stay, they were lovely and a saving grace for this expensive and ill equipped doss house.
Lovely very little hotel. Great value, great location. ”
Location was perfect. Near Victoria Station and Buckingham Palace small friendly hotel in a lovely street. Very clean, friendly staff and a perfectly adequate breakfast. Nice little sitting area outside and complimentary coffee available at all times. Would stay again.
3 Nights in London (first Lonfon visit)”
Professional staff. Rooms are very clean and well designed. The bathroom had plenty of space and comparable to a 5 star hotel. For a family of 3, we were initially placed on the 3rd floor to a room in my opinion only fit 2 people. The rollaway bed took up our luggage space. Nowhere to move and luggage had to opened on top of beds. Luckily our a/c broke and we were moved to a decent basement room that was designed for 3 adults and still had space for luggages and space to move around. The internet was not stable at the basement.
Lovely Hotel. Shame about the kitchen noise.”
This is a lovely hotel in a nice location and ideal for visiting the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Friendly and attentive staff and a good choice for complimentary breakfast. Only complaint is that we were put in room 003 which is in the basement below the kitchen and as breakfast was being prepared in the morning, before 7am, it was very noisy in our room.
We booked the hotel for an overnight stop close to Victoria coach station at each end of a break in France. The coaches were less than 5 minutes walk away, and the hotel gave us everything we needed, the staff all being most helpful. We would definitely use them again. Peter/Vina of Kings Lynn, Norfolk
Pros: location is perfect. Hotel is just a few meters away from Victoria Coach Station and about 5-8 minutes walk to Victoria Rail station; complimentary breakfast is okay for the price- assorted breads and hams, fruits, cereals, spread, hot drinks, fruit juices, etc. Con: very small room and bathroom
A charming overnight stay”
Walking distance from Victoria Station and Victoria Coach Station. Warm and friendly reception. Charming room, soothing lighting, clean and comfortable. Cute breakfast area and a convenient location to proceed elsewhere in your trips. I hope to come back.
