At Niman Conceptual Home is inspired by the impression of the Himalayas through the great mountain of Chiang Mai - Doi Suthep. The hotel's style reflects both Asian and local influences coupled with the comfort of international accommodation. Along with its cozy accommodation, the property is centrally located, peaceful, and retains the charm of authentic Chiang Mai. We hope to come back here!”
At Niman was way more than we expected. The hotel is beautifully decorated with lots of charm. The room was large and light. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast was huge and delicious. The hotel has a DVD library and we were able to borrow movies to watch in our room. The pool is small but it wasn't busy when we were there, so we had it all to ourselves. This hotel made our stay in Chiang Mai so enjoyable and we hope to be back.
Great boutique hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai”
Our flight arrived early in the morning and we were able to check in right away. They even gave us an upgraded room, so we got a big, cozy room with good amenities. Although the CD player was broken, we were able to use the DVD player instead. The hotel is conveniently located in the Nimmanhemin neighborhood where we found many good restaurants and cute shops within walking distance. The service is superb. All the people working there seemed very happy to help us. Another big plus is that the king-sized bed in our room was as good as the one we have at home! We will definitely return.
an amazing oasis in the midst of this trendy area.”
this little gem of a hotel did not disappoint.....i have been traveling to chiang mai for the past 10 years -- 3 to 4 times a year -- and have stayed in countless hotels all over the city -- and this one impressed me like not other --- from the room - to the staff - to the coffee and snacks always available -- it truly was like a home away from home.....loved it!!! will stay here my next trip......definitely!
Beautiful rooms, good breakfast, reasonable price before Agoda added on the tax and fees (which put me out of per diem, so it would have been nice to have full disclosure. They've updated the site since then so I think enough people noticed...). Great if you don't mind being outside the old city in Chiang Mai. For me, I had a meeting at CMU and it was walking distance. Cool hip shopping, coffee shops, bars, restaurants in this neighborhood, and also a Mike's if you want junk food late at night.
Gorgeous boutique hotel”
we loved this place. it really is a stunning little hotel and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. our superior room was wonderful, plenty of space, great design and with a good-sized balcony. we stayed four nights and spent one late afternoon lazing by the pool, which is more than adequate for cooling down after a hot day. the location is great. there are plenty of options in short walking distance to shop, eat and be pampered. very cool, creative area of chiang mai and still close enough to all markets and the centre of town. highly recommended.
Lovely rooms in a large manor finished with a loving touch. All the extras make you feel special, greasy flowers everyday, individual made to order breakfast, sitting area with free coffee, fruit and biscuits all day, music in the rooms, heaps of DVD s to use in your room. Felt like walking into a room in Paris every day. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Was presented with a card flower and pice on cake on check in for my birthday-thank you. It’s the attention to detail that makes this place special. It’s in a fabulous location to explore Chiang Mai and there are endless places to eat, drink, get massages, whTever you desire close by
the best relaxation place in chiangmai ”
so nice the hotel is ,and we donnt wanna move out and hate to leave ,every time when we are back,we call it"go home",we ganna miss you,at niman.
Hotel meets the high standard as rated by others!”
Others gave this hotel a great review and I also agree. Great place to stay. The location can not be beat if you want to explore Niman. Nice ambiance and the staff is so friendly and very helpful. You won't regret the stay.
Great little hotel in a great area in Chiang Mai”
The staff was very friendly and very helpful, the rooms and the architecture of the hotel was incredible and full of details. The movie library was also great after a long wall in Chiang mai and the size and location make it perfect as you don't feel full of tourist but rather in a Thai environment full or great cafes and bars
Unique getaway in a funky location”
We stayed here with our toddler after a couple of weeks in Myanmar. It was definitely much better value for money than anywhere we stayed in Myanmar and the service, food and comfort levels was a very pleasant change. Being a boutique hotel, there weren't too many people staying so we almost had the place to ourselves. The hotel is Moroccan-styled, with a very private oasis feel. They have not spare any expense to create a very cosy atmosphere the moment you walk through the lobby. The pool however was quite cold, which was expected given that it only had a couple of hours of sunlight per day. This might be a plus for some. The breakfast was great and very well-presented and they have high-chairs for babies and toddlers. They also have a coffee machine (automatic, self-grinding type) which was a welcome relief after the instant coffee or bubuk experience you'd expect around other parts of South East Asia. Australians will rejoice that they can get a long black (with soy if your heart desires), Americans can go to ththe Starbucks down the road and order a pumpkin spice latte or Americano. The coffee, tea, fruit, cookies, and water are all self service at any time of the day - free water alone in any SEA hotel is almost unheard of so to get the full service (without having to ask) was a major plus. The location is in the Japanese quarter, which seems to be somewhat wealthier than others. Plenty of food nearby of all persuasions, a 711 around the corner and both massage and laundry services right by the hotel entrance. The insect museum is one street away and was surprisingly one of the best museums I've experienced in SEA. Would stay again, highly recommended. Keep an eye out for deals during off-seasons.
Lovely hotel in the best area of Chiang Mai in my opinion. Will be even better when the new bar is finished. Lovely small hotel with exceptional cleanliness and friendly staff. Good breakfast. Room was huge (family room).
The reason I chose At Niman was location. We plan to go out at night and there is one popular club next to hotel which is very convenient. And I like the sytle and the way they decorate the hotel.
lovely boutique hotel. priced as a four star hotel, but with only 3 star facilities. but beautifully furnished with great design touches. pool is tiny, more ornamental than practical. some rooms have private balconies with chandeliers and sofas. others have swing chairs on balconies. walking distance to restaurants and bars in trendy niman area. no restaurant but great breakfasts. free coffee, biscuits, fruit 24h
Perfect location and a fantastic bar with the best cocktail waiter in Chiang Mai. The room was great and the staff very helpful. The pool is the only disappointment if you are worried about swimming as it's very small.
Beautiful and cosy boutique hotel”
The hotel setting is really nice for relaxation. It's small setup but cosy with a beautiful garden which serve as the breakfast place as well. Free flow of cookies and drinks in a nice lounge beside the pool. Bed is nice and comfy. We stayed at the Himalaya room which is really 2 rooms, that is exclusive to us, up a stairway. My kids love the CD library. Although some did not work, there is a huge selection. For such a small setup, breakfast selection is wide. The food is great, and we really enjoyed it. My only grouse is the shower tap does not work properly. A lot of water was wasted whenever I used it. It's a little distance away from the main road, but not really an issue. I will also recommend the private Insect museum that is 3 mins walk away. Also recommended is the Italian restaurant ("Italics") 5 mins walk away on the same road. Nice place and the food was excellent.
Funky looking hotel but small room”
the decoration is very cool and relaxing style. i love the fact that the hotel provides you choice ranges of breakfast of american breakfast (bacon and egg style), rice porridge with prawn or other meat, chicken rice, screwed bbq pork with sticky rice. breakfast also served with soy milk, patong ko (deep fried dough, crunchy outside, soft and chewy inside...my favourite) fresh fruits, tea, nice fresh coffee (the proper one!!). you can also borrow dvd movies from the reception, free of charge :) the room facilities is ok, but room size is a little bit small compare to the price of the room.
Love At Niman, will happily stay there again”
I love the look of this place, a lovely jumble of Oriental and Moorish furnishings. Staff couldn't have been friendlier, rooms were spacious, I had a balcony big enough to have a party on. Its location, at the quiet end of a busy soi, is ideal. If you're tempted to stay in, which may well be e case, there is an extensive CD and DVD library. A definite winner. I'll be back.
Well-designed hotel. Enjoy the place for short stay.”
Located in Nimmanhemin road which very easy to walk around the area. Staffs are very nice and helpful. The room is very well decorated.
Delightful Design. ”
I loved this place. The Arabian concept takes you to another place. The rooms are amazing and tranquillizing. The hotel is small yet comfortable and really sets the mood for relaxation that accompanies a visit to Chang Mai. The staff are very quiet souls who are very helpful. The breakfast is delightful, served in a very quaint setting. The breakfast is delightful. You must experience this place. It is a treat !
This is my last minute booking for Chian Mai. This place is situated at Nimman Soi 9 which is a very good location. You can just walk around to find cafes and this place is only 1.2 km from Maya shopping mall. There's no breakfast line here but you will be asked upon arrival to select the breakfast that you want which is very nice. The place is nice, clean, and staffs are very helpful. I would definitely go back next time.
