A fantastic choice for this kind of price”
We booked our hotel at 4pm, arrived at the hotel at 7pm, lets say it was a rather last-minute booking At Pingnakorn Huaykaew Hotel. The location is rather spot on (we rented a car), as it is not far away from the main street (Nimanhaemin Rd), but the hotel is located at the end of the soi, which without a car, can be rather difficult to get to, especially at night. Nevertheless, the hotel was fantastic, my Mum and I were upgraded upon our arrival (shocked but very grateful). The staff were very friendly as well. The highlight however, is the decor. From the entrance, to the corridors, to the front desk, the elevator, the swimming pool, the rooms, everything about this hotel we loved. It's quite trendy/chic, but it is spotless clean. The only downside of our stay was the erratic water pump, the showers did not perform in a consistent manner (hot/cold + soft/powerful). But that was bearable. Lastly, I was vey surprised with the breakfast choices they had, from very traditional northern Thai food, to the basic eggs+sausages (better quality)+bacon. Yet, as a health enthusiast, I loved the choices they had on display. Fantastic hotel. Will definitely visit again.
The BEST place to stay”
We had stayed at At Pingnakorn Nimman before and this time in Chiang Mai we wanted to stay at their new hotel HuayKaew! We had three rooms and I must say that this is the best place to stay in Chiang Mai! New hotel, really nice design, big rooms with really spacious bathrooms. The pool and restaurant have a great atmosphere. Breakfast is Thai buffet - clean food! We wanted to book additional nights at te hotel but unfortunately it was already fully booked! I can highly recommend to stay there! Very close to central festival and maya shopping mall (both in walking distance)! The value for money is excellent!!! We loved it!
Hidden Gem”
Tucked away off the main road you find this cul-de-sac where the boutique Pingnakorn Huay Kaew Hotel rests, away from the noisy streets but still very accessible to the main old square. Beautiful decor throughout the premises. Most balconies will face a nice view of trees, city, and mountains in the background. The restaurant, pool, Jacuzzi, and fitness area is all located on the second floor in a semi-open environment. Pool area is very picturesque. Laundry available (offsite, nearby) for reasonable price if needed. Rooms were well Kept and cozy. Breakfast was good. A mix of Thai and western. But there needs to be more attention to serving a variety of fruits. Most mornings only pineapple was available. Mangoes, papaya, banana, etc. were rarely served. Mangoes served only 2 of our 6 days, which is unacceptable when visiting Thailand, known for there amazing mango plantations. Hotel staff were very well-mannered, helpful and courteous. There is a free hotel taxi available for nearby locations. If looking to go further into the old square, they can help to get a taxi for you. Most destinations to Old Square by taxi will cost between 60-100 BHT. Recommended restaurants nearby (5-10 min away): Rustic & Blue (5 Star; Organic choices, Non-veg & veg choices; quiet and quaint; superb food; small courtyard with hammocks) River Market Restaurant (5 Star; Very nice and traditional vibe, good drinks and food; Thai and Western options; has grassy area so if you have kids can have them run around while taking a minute to relax; way better experience than the restaurant DASH which was recommended to us)
A budget hotel couldn't get more charming than this!”
It's important to understand that there are 2 At Pingnakorn locations. I booked at the one you see in the photos with the glorious pool, but when I arrived (at first without my husband who followed two days later), it was recommended to me to stay at the other, presumably older location because it's right near a big shopping area with massage places, restaurants, a night market, and Maya Mall--easier for a solo traveler like myself, whereas the one I booked is a bit off the beaten path and requires taxis or tuk tuks everywhere. I was dubious because the other location has no pool or gym, and in the fliers their rooms look much less special. Was told if I moved I'd be upgraded and could have a free shuttle to the newer location any time I wanted to swim. I took a chance and ohhhhh my gosh the room was fantastic! Huge suite with adorable floral decor, big tub, cute little kitchen with flowered tea set, 2 flat screen TV's with a dvd player, and powerful A/C. If you can book any room like #301 I highly recommend it. The lobby is charming too--great decor. And I did take advantage of their offer to shuttle over to the pool--not to be missed! A wedding photo shoot was going on beside it because it's THAT beautiful. And shaded (no sunburn!!!) yet still outdoors. Can't imagine staying anywhere else in Chiangmai.
Comfortable crash pad for good value”
At Pingnakorn is a new hotel that is very clean and nice that we believe will be better for English speaking tourists w time. It was centrally located between the old city and the university area, and always easy to find a tuk tuk or red cab. There was a great laundry on the same street. Because the hotel was new and had a sister location, however, many people did not know our hotel and would try to take us to the other location even when usi g the hotels card, so be sure to insist that it is off of Huaykaew road or use the dome Instead as a point of reference (hotel on same street). The room was clean and spacious w a nice balcony. The hotel was located near a loud market or concert venue, which was frustrating; however the noise ended by 1030. Internet connection didn't really work in the room but was good in the common area. The breakfast was delicious.
Lovely ”
My husband and I spent three nights at the At Pingnakork Huaykaew Hotel. Their morning breakfast spread is fabulous. The staff is wonderful and super attentive and accommodating. I have food allergies (gluten) and once I was able to translate that, they made me a special breakfast! They helped to arrange airport transportation and are available to book UBER rides as well. We were very impressed and thought it was a wonderful value for the large room at close proximity to the large mall/market and not too far from the square.
Solitude on Huaykaew”
A lovely boutique hotel situated off busy Huaykaew Road in Chiang Mai (within walking distance of Maya Mall). The quaintly decorated accommodation was roomy and clean with and a large bathroom. The breakfast buffet was excellent (a step above other hotel offerings of the same category). The staff were very helpful and the free local-area shuttle was an added plus. If location is not essential for you, then this hotel is sure to please even the most luxurious tastes. I would definitely recommend staying here.
my second stay”
This is my second stay at this hotel. It is my favourite hotel in Chiang Mai. i booked two rooms for eight nights. this time the overall experience is excelent. however, i had some problems that i have faced this time. the problem was that the hotel is doing maintenance that is making too much noise from drilling and hammer machines. the hotel staff have postively responded to my complain and managed to transfer us to thier new hotel at the riverside area. during my stay at the riverside hotel. i had lost my access card and requested replacement from reception. they gave me a new card and charged me 200 baht as cost of card replacement which is disapointing. one more thing to note they have no safe deposit box in thier rooms.
love every single bit of this hotel!”
i love this hotel so much, i stayed at pingnakorn nimman branch before and i love their breakfast so much, this is their second branch, not far from the first branch and is 3-5 mins from Nimman road. This one is even better as it is very new, room is nice, big bathroom, good quality of bed sheet and also got a pool. Their breakfast is still very good and the staffs are also nice. The only problem is that their internet is still not stable yet. alreadt recommend this hotel to many of my friends.
Picturesque design, great pool/lounging area”
We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel because of the beautiful interior design of the rooms and the lobby / pool / swimming areas. The pool area has comfortable lounges to relax on, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The location is removed enough so that you have peace and quiet, but close enough to major attractions in Chiang Mai. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful Hotel... Buffet Breakfast was delicious!”
Such a beautiful hotel and every nook and cranny in this hotel is Instagram worthy... From the pool, elevator, restaurant, lobby, bedroom, and toilets, everything was beautifully designed and you can tell there was a lot of thought and details put into designing this hotel.. Enjoyed our stay and always looked forward to relaxation after our tours. The breakfast buffet had so many varieties and the staff were very helpful and courteous. Definitely a place we would highly recommend in Chiang Mai.
Great decor, hard beds”
This is the newer At Pingnakorn and clearly they had fun with the decor, and the pool area is gorgeous. Staff are excellent too but like the other hotel wifi is too unpredictable and the mattress need upgrading.
A piece of art”
All your senses will be taken somewhere within a dream. Cannot describe with plain words how nice this place is. All details have been turned into a functional piece of art. Staff, breakfast, birds singing, aromas, music, colours, textures, furniture, trees, pool, lights.... I will stay again with no hesitation. Do yourlsef a treat and a favour and stay... I regret not to have booked all my days here while in Chiang Mai. Thank you for the experience.
Quite, Cozy,affordable,Special”
I love the interior European design of At Pingnakorn. When I was in the hotel, I felt like being in past time. I booked a Grand Deluxe Double Bed, however, they gave me a room was just near the swimming pool which was located between second and third floors. The room seemed converted from a store room into a standard hotel room. The funny thing was that we needed to get into the room via a window.I can't say this special room was bad but it didn't come up to my expectation. I did enjoy the sauna room and steam room at At Pingnakorn. They were really so good and worthy to try.
One of the best hotel in Chiang Mai”
The hotel is right at the center of the city, yet it's in a very peaceful area. The breakfast is great. If you visit Chiang Mai, this is the place where you can feel like home.
Excellent Choice of Hotel in Chiangmai ”
The hotel itself is well designed & uniquely decorated (though some may thinks it looks a bit creepy at first sight). The room is great, spacious and clean. Toilet is nice & clean. Please take note, wooden floor in the room is a bit slippery. The buffet style breakfast served is simply wonderful even though it may be a bit cold by the time you come. Hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located not very far from the old city but a bit hidden at the end of a small street. However, is not something to worry as they do provide transportation to the main street all the time for free. Otherwise, you can just walk for 5 mins or simply rent a bike for moving around.
My first hotel that worth for revisiting”
The Hotel decored in a Victoria Style. The room is clean and big enough. One of the best thing about this hotel is its breakfast which served both Western and Tranditonal Lanna style. If you have never tried Northern Style food, and northern style sausage. This is the first place you can try. The breakfast is the best of all more than you expect from this hotel. The hotel is a little too far away from the Shopping Center. There are 2 locations of this hotel. We were on the "Huakkeaw" which was only one year old. There was a construction site near by. So i think you may have to book to another branches
Perfect for your holidays”
I really love and enjoy staying here during the holidays. The room is nice, pretty and clean also the food is very good. All staff is very polite and help-able. Will go back there whenever I'm in Chiang Mai.
Nice and Quiet”
We enjoyed our stay as if met our needs for this holiday. It is quiet tucked away from the main road but definitely close to all amenities. If we came back to Chiang Mai we would stay here again.
Pretty luxurious feeling for the price.”
We are budget travelers, not of the backpacker sort but definitely not able to afford big name hotel chains or boutique places. For the price this was amazing luxury compared to some of our other stops in Thailand. The rooms were large, well-appointed. The breakfast was stunning. Best hotel breakfast spread I have ever seen, with one in Italy being a close second. As someone who loves vegetables (along with meats) and flavorful Asian food this was great. Many of the guests here are Chinese or from other South Asian countries and they had something for everyone, and I enjoyed trying it all. Throw in the automatic espresso machine and I was in heaven. A different person who only wants to eat a traditional western breakfast and is scared to try new things might feel differently.
