Nice guest house”
We stayed in at the woods for 2 nights while visiting storms river. We arrived a little early so we stayed at the pool before check in. The pool area was great really relaxing and a great sun trap. Even had a monkey come and say hello. We had an upstrais room which was spacious and clean and had all the faciltites you would expect. Shower was really powerful which was great. Staff were all great cleaners and gardners very friendly. The only thing i did not like was asking for an ash tray so we could smoke and getting huffed at but who i think was the owner. Breakfast was average at best hot food cooked to order and you can help yourself to nice and creaeal. The coffee was not great. For me the big negative is you get given one toast and one croissnt per person and you cant help your self to more and dont feel like you can ask for more so for me Its like this is your ration and that's all you get. All in all a good guest house let down buy a couple of easy fix issues.

Good overnight stay”
We spent 1 night in At the Woods Guest House on March 8th during our trip along the Garden Route. It was easy to find, just off the N2. We had a downstairs room which was a good size and nicely furnished. It had a fridge, tv, kettle with tea & coffee and doors leading out to a little patio with chairs and a table, with a view over the garden and splash pool. The ensuite had a large walk-in shower and provided towels and basic toiletries. Breakfast had the usual selection of fruit, cereals and bread, plus a cooked breakfast which we chose. It was nothing special but perfectly adequate. The breakfast room was on the first floor with lovely views over the mountains. For our evening meal we chose the De Oude Martha restaurant at the Tsitsikamma Village Inn and it was a gorgeous meal, with lovely surroundings and excellent service. I can thoroughly recommend eating there. In fact the Village Inn had a beautiful setting and the accommodation there looked so good we wished in a way that we had opted to stay there. That said, At the Woods was in an ideal location for an overnight stop, was very comfortable and you felt safe walking around at night. For me, it just lacked a bit of warmth, although this may well have been clouded by the fact that our previous 2 nights had been spent at the Beachwalk Guest House in Port Elizabeth which was 5 star in every way. On leaving At the Woods, we went down to the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp which is definitely worth a visit, even though you couldnt get to the suspension bridge at the time as it was undergoing maintenance. The sea views are wild and spectacular and there is a large area of nature reserve to go for walks. There is also a gift shop and a Cattle Baron restaurant for meals and a coffee, although you do have to pay a fee to enter the national park.

Exceptional”
Expected the accommodation to be quite basic as everyone goes to Storms River (Tsitsikamma) for the activities. This guest house was lovely. We were 3 friends staying for 2 nights and we were very impressed with the place. We shared a room but it was not cramped and we even had a small outside terrace which looked on to the pool. Breakfast was served upstairs on the balcony and a cooked option was offered as well as small buffet. Manageress was very helpful and friendly

We only stayed for one night and were very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were nice with a large bathroom and walk in shower. Breakfast is taken upstairs on the balcony overlooking the garden and pool and was faultless. Really friendly staff and I would recommend anyone to stay here that was looking for accommodation in Storms river village.

A lovely guest house in Tsitsikamma Village”
We managed to stay here while the Tsitsikamma National Park was still open to the public. The owner Marco and Bev made us feel welcome, the country style of the guest house is befitting to the natural surrounds. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was excellent. This guest house is an excellent base from which to explore the nearly Tsitsikamma National Park.

Brilliant Guest House, Superb Location”
We absolutely loved this Guest House. The location is fabulous right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. I just wished we had stayed there longer as it was the best by a long shot. The room was superb, the pool was very sweet and the Breakfast was amazing. With the little restaurant just through the garden for an evening meal and lovely walks and activities this really came up trumps.

Coming from the same industry, I do realise the short comings for owners,to to be everywhere , within a limited timespan. Owner Bev ,was not around when I checked in, but one of the house keepers , promptly did the formalities in a professional way and no problems at all. The house is extremely well maintained and run, spotless , making it almost effortless. Great uncluttered decor, good vistas of mountains with tranquility thrown in, for good measure. Breakfasts served adjacent to dinning area on terrace , perfect way to start the day. Enough info available on surrounding attractions, restaurant menus etc to confuse one's choices. Well done.

I can only recommend this hotel for a stay in Stormsriver, it's close to all the action and still quiet and relaxing. Great breakfast buffet, kind staff and a beautiful and stylish house! Thumbs up!

We only had a short stay at this B&B, but it was very comfortable and clean. Everyone was very friendly and there was also a nice little terrace/patio to the room. Perfect gateway for Tsitsikamma. Highly recommend.
