Great location”
The room was nice, location was perfect, and the pool was great. However, the room was not soundproof at all and we could hear everything happening outside our room (including screaming kids at midnight). There is also only 1 elevator and it is extremely slow. We were forced to use the stairs 90% of the time because when it finally did open, it was full. Other than that the hotel was great.

Better than I expected”
I guess I came here not expecting too much since so many reviews indicated the place was dated. I was thoroughly impressed, and mostly appreciated the location. We never moved our car and were conveniently located to everything we needed. Went down to the pool, easily walked over to the beach, and effortlessly strolled down the boardwalk over to Funland and more! Thank you!

The sands was an amazing place, smack right in the middle of all the action on the boardwalk, the staff was so friendly, super accommodating. We will absolutely be coming back to rehoboth beach, and we will absolutely be staying at the Atlantic sands again !!

Pros and Cons”
Pros: 1. The property is directly on the boardwalk. 2. I received an upgrade to a beachfront/ocean view room for my room. Thank you. 3. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. 4. Viewing the Atlantic Ocean from my balcony was wonderful. 5. Friendly staff (front desk and housekeeping). Cons: 1. The door frame was a little cracked as if you he door was forced open before. So, we put the extra chain on while we slept for security. 2. The toilet could become easily stopped up with a normal amount of toilet paper. It almost overflowed. Close call. 3. There’s a dated elevator. Watch your step because it does not stop evenly with the floor. 4. I’ve spent less per night on a higher quality hotel. But, it is directly on the beach.

It seems like a nice motel so far. The worst thing is the parking, people going to the beach fill up the motel lot. Then there is nowhere for the people staying at the motel to park.

The staff was great and the rooms were very clean. It was winter and therefore very quiet. The ocean front room was worth it. You could hear nothing but the ocean.

Weekend stay”
We stayed in early April for the weekend. The room was a nice suite. All was immaculate in the room except the back of the door into the room. It was smeared with something like suntan lotion. The vending area at the end of the floor was a little gross and there was a wedding going on so we had to literally walk through the bar area of the reception to get to our room. Our partial view room faced the back of Rehoboth Avenue (forward facing) with a side view of the ocean in the distance. You can smell the Thrasher's french fries cooking in the distance so if smelling grease is a problem, ask for a room facing the ocean or facing north shores. Other than the occasional grease smell wafting our way, at night you could see some neon signs glowing and you get a good view of rooftops and church steeples (we were on the 3rd floor). Couple staying next to us was smoking on the balcony (which isn't allowed but we weren't going to rat them out either). All-in-all nice.

I visited for the second time with a group of friends. Once again, our stay was comfortable and we felt pampered. No gym, but they have an agreement with one in walking distance.

Perfect Location”
Rooms are a little outdated, but the location can’t be beat; right on the beach/boardwalk and a block away from Rehoboth Avenue. Staff for the most part were friendly except for an older gentleman who accosted my family and I in the back parking lot asking us if we were staying at the hotel and asking for our room number. When we asked why, he kept pushing, and when we pushed back. Eventually he said it was because they’ve been having issues with folks who aren’t guests parking in the lot. We told him we have a permit and then he told us to have a nice day. Not sure why he selected us, but definitely not the right way to go about it.

Perfect spot right on the beach”
Pretty simple and straightforward! Stayed here twice! Best location ever, parking is no problem. Staff is pretty cool. Does get super packed in the summer, but hey.... That's to be expected. Get an ocean view if possible. Will continue to book rooms with this place as long as the price stays reasonable. I do recommend bringing your own packs of bottled water, cooler and ice. if your stay is extended. Double check the room for left over bottles and trash. This was the only problem we ran into. Other than that, there were no other issues.
