Bargain hotel, well situated. Located in Pest, the Atlas is a short stroll from the metro and on a tram route. Room was large, with a basic bathroom. Air conditioning is provided although noisy. Breakfast was edible, if uninspiring. However, at £30 a night, we had no complaints.

Couple for a few daysClean, quite big rooms with good equipment: hair dryer and fridge with water, sweet drinks and chocolate bars (supplemented almost every day along with cleaning). Comfortable reception hall, luggage room where you can leave your luggage until evening on leaving day. Neighborhood a little noisy, but in my opinion safe.

Location is just fine but noise can be an issue Noise can be an issue if room is facing the main, even when window is closed, because passing trams are of an older noisy type. The un unappetizing breakfast is not worth paying for, but in my case it was included so I took it. So it is rather crucial to get a room facing the other side of the road. Room amenities are adequate but in-room safe is lacking (safety deposit boxes at the reception only). I would book this hotel again with no hesitation if at a reasonable price (definitely less than $50/night).

    cleanliness

we found the hotel clean and tidy. the staff was friendly throughout our stay. check in and check out was swift and seamless. though the hotel looks like an ordinary block of appartments, the rooms are well furnished and the bathroom is of good quality. though the hotel is situated on a very busy road, nevertheless noise never disturbed us. the restaurant is not particularly impressive. good value for money, would return without hesitation.

Nice staff, breakfast ok, fast WIFI in the lobby
The neighbourhood was pretty dodgy in the night

Hotels Atlas is not really in the center of town, it's about 10 min to the closes subway and the place doesen't feel to safe in the night. The staff was super friendly and helped us with everything. The also order taxis and shuttle busses to the airport. Breakfast was good and they have sausages, eggs, breadd, juices and a variety of coffees. The wifi in the lobby is free and fast. The rooms are also ok and spacious.

Nice staff, breakfast good, price ok
The territory in the night does not feel that safe, closes subway is 10 minute walk at least

Hotel Atlas is pretty close to the train station but when you want to go to downtown from the hotel you have to walk 10 min or more to the subway station. The staff was super friendly in the hotel and helped us with printing flight tickets, ordered a taxi for airport. The WIFI in the lobby is really fast and good as well.

Wifi is fast Quiet Breakfast is ok Reception people are really kind and helpful
10 min walk from the subway in the night the area is a little creepy, weird people. not one of the town most safest places

We stayed at hotel atlas for 5 days. The stay was ok, nothing really big to complain about, the price is also alright. The rooms are big and spacey and the toilet is good too. No baths in the rooms, only shower. Breakfast has bread, sausages, scrambled eggs, juices and coffee, fills your stomach for the day! It was an ok stay at Hotel Atlas but next time i will choose a more central area.

Barely sufficient to warrant 3 stars”

The pokey rooms on the 7th floor were rather "oldschool", and not in a good or charming way. Mold in the shower, plaster on the ceiling of the bathroom flaking off. TERRIBLE, narrow bed with a squeaky spring mattress. With the price some 30 % lower it would have had been OK, but not worth the money, if you are looking for a cheap but nice accomodation for a pleasant trip. May be fine for the pensioners and serbian gymnastics (???) team we met, but definitely not for a couple's weekend. There is a 4* some 300 metres from this location which was about 35 Euro/2 nights more than this and it would have been money very well spent. Will not recommend, very unlikely to come back.

totally overpriced, breakfast area was a disaster, overcrowded, noisy, with long line of people trying to get some food or a cup pf coffee. Bar was mostly closed, especially on weekends as the only guy working at the bar decided to go for a long weekend break. Room was never properly done and the bathroom never properly cleaned.

    Acceptable”

-the cleaner hadn't even cleaned the room before our check in time. She walked in our room without realising we would be in there and then asked if it was clean enough. From a first glance it looked fine. The beds were made the bins were empty. The next day we found a pair of socks that didn't belong to us in our draw. - the beds were broken. One had a massive crack down the side that we thought the bed may split in half any moment. Another bed - the legs just fell off one night whilst turning over. - we had a room only but there was no kettle or mini bar like there normally is. - we were there for 5 days And the cleaner didn't clean our room until the last day. She gave us fresh towels but didn't replace the foot towel which was dripping wet from the shower which kept getting clogged. - my friend asked reception for a new pillow as her was mis-shaped and giving her a bad neck. We said we wanted it asap as we were all planning on taking a nap. It took them 2 hours after chasing it up.

Good value for money till there are problems”

The hotel is close to a Metro station and not too far away from the center of the city (~1 km). The breakfast is nice and the rooms are satisfactory. My issues are related to handling problems when they occur. On the first night my bed broke (there were already evidences of fixing and strengthening of this bed). O complaint about it in the morning and during this day no one came to the room (including maintenance for cleaning the screws and splinters). After 2 more days they simply added another (3rd) bed to my room (fixing the bed only after 5 days). Also, since day one O complaint that the drain at the shower is mostly blocked. Again the pattern of complaining every morning for 4 days to fix this simple problem.

It looks more like a hostel than a hotel ”

** It looks more like a hostel than a hotel.** The place hosts various (noisy and careless) youngsters and what it seems to be academic/school groups (also very noisy and careless). It is worth mentioning that some guests misbehaved during our stay: knocking at other guests' doors in the middle of the night, drunk people wandering in hallways at night, very loud chatting all day (and night) long, and so on. Last but not least, we could hear any noise from other rooms because of paper-fin walls. ** Not-so well located** Although the hotel is conveniently located nearby transportations (bus, tram, metro), the neighborhood is as well very noisy: ambualnce sirens going on and on (the hospital is only blocks away), heavy (and noisy) police presence at night (unsafe neighborhood ?). I would not recommend this place for people that are seeking for a calm, quiet and peaceful stay. Nonetheless, BUDAPEST IS STILL A WONDERFUL CITY to visit. ;-)
