pleasant and relaxing experience”

value for money, good location, nice breakfast buffet

When we arrived at the Augusta Lucilla Palace Hotel, we were notified that all rooms were sold out. Staff were absolutely professional - they had already made a reservation for us at a hotel of similar standards just one block away. The bellboy escorted us to our new lodging at the Hotel Genova. Reception at this new hotel were already informed about our arrival and promptly gave us our room. Because we arrived in Rome early in the morning after a long journey, we were very pleased that the hotel transfer went without any hitch or loss of time. The Hotel Genova assigned us a standard room with small dimensions (in particular, the shower), but we were comfortable just the same. At our request, we received a smoking room. Even in somewhat tight quarters, storage areas were adequate and the closet included a safety-deposit box. Our room had a flat-screen TV with international programming. We appreciated the nice breakfast buffet before departing with a favorable impression of our experience!

great stay at the Augusta Lucilla Palace which is a lovely hotel, very comfortable bed and nice big room also close to transport. However be careful around the termini area renown for mugging and pickpockets.the hotel does not have a dining room apart from breakfast but there are cafes all around it.water pressure and heat was a bit variable but other than that a terrific place to stay.

clean & comfortable rooms, great location and nice breakfast

We have stayed at Augusta Lucilla Palace as two couples for one night. It was a heavy rainy day and we have stayed most of the time at the hotel. We were really pleased about the hotel, facilities & tidiness of the rooms, sufficiency of the breakfast. The massaging beds are excellent! If I have to come Rome again this hotel will be my choice again.

A pleasant stay with an excellent breakfast and helpful staff.”

Close to The Termini Station the Augusta Lucilla Palace is centrally located to public transport to all the attractions Rome has to offer. There are also some excellent restaurants nearby including the hotel chains' The Hive. The room was comfortable, and importantly the bathroom was large and luxurious and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We would happily recommend this hotel to our friends.

A lovely hotel not far from railway station!!”

Good location and nice service!

It's our first time in Italy and Roma is our first stop. Hotel Augusta Lucilla is not far from the railway station with metro station, around 5 minutes by walk, although it was not easy to find it at the first moment as we took the wrong exit out from the station. Hotel Augusta Lucilla provides very good and warm service. When we asked for their advice about transportation to Siena, they even printed out timetable for us. Besides, some of the hotel ppl can speak Chinese. The room was nice and clean. To sum up, we had a pleasant stay there!!

We stayed at their newly opened sister hotel, The Hive; which was a great exchange!”

The Hive (4-star htoel) opened on the day we were to check into the Lucilla Augusta, and they offered us the opportunity to stay there. Granted, not all the hotel features were ready or perfected (TV remote didn't work, safe needed to be adjusted, no spa yet, long wait to check in), but the beautiful rooms and great breakfast buffet made up for all that during our 4 night stay.

Excellent location, beds and breakfast!”

Love how the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Termini train station, making it a super convenient location for not only arrival to / departure from Rome; but also getting around within the city by train / tram / bus. I intended to walk around Rome, so the nearest attractions to the hotel are the Trevi Fountain (about 10 minutes) and Galleria Borghese (15 minutes). I actually also walked to other major attractions like the Pantheon, Altare della Patria, Colosseum and Castel Sant'Angelo because they're all close by to each other. The Vatican is about 15 minutes by taxi to the hotel (ALWAYS REMEMBER TO ASK YOUR DRIVER TO TURN ON THE METER, or they'll charge you a ridiculous fare like mine tried to do). And after walking around in the summer heatwave, it's bliss to come back to my room and use the massage function of the smart beds! Breakfast has a reasonable and delicious selection of salads, cold cuts, breads and (my favourite) pastries. Highly recommended!

Augusta Lucille was a good hotel for family’s traveling across Italy because of its strategic locat”

The location of the hotel is really excellent when traveling across Italy or Rome city adventure. All city activities is close to the hotel and if you decided to go to other city Roma Termini (Rome Train Central Teminal) is just 5 min. walk and you can even ask the hotel to prepare you a takeaway breakfast for your journey. The hoteliers and staff of Agusta Lucia is excellent and commendable. And if you just decide for city adventure or shopping spagma is just 10 minutes by taxi or Uber. And after all this adventure you can just relax in your hotel and turned on your massage bed and relax

A strategically located hotel”

Spent two nights here in a triple room with my parents when we visited Rome in early May 2017. It is strategically located in close proximity to Roma Termini, Metro and walking distance to carrefour. The room is very spacious (with lot of moving space even though we have a few luggage bags), clean and with all the basic amenities as per booking description, i.e. 2 out of 3 beds with massage functions, with refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, in room safe box, spacious bathroom with bathtub, free WiFi and more. The price is reasonable due to its close proximity to Roma Termini and Metro as well as with bathtub and massage bed. A plus point is most of the staffs especially the Chinese staffs are very friendly and actually made our stay an even more satisfactory one. If you have lot of luggage bags and/or travel with small kid/ elderly, this hotel is the ideal choice for you and/or your family as you may take taxi or metro to anywhere easily. I will visit again during my next visit and would recommend this hotel to anyone with a little budget to spare.

Superb location, hearty breakfast, super fast Wi-Fi (as a hotel in Rome)”

Superb location, minutes of walk to Roma Termini. I heard the rooms are too cramped if you go for the small or standard rooms, so get the bigger ones if your budget allows and that'd not disappoint. We booked the 21m^2 one (superior I think) and it is very spacious. Wi-Fi coverage is good as is probably the fastest I had experienced in Rome. Bed is super comfortable (with auto incline and massage function) and breakfast spread is good. If I have to find fault I'd say the view is kinda restricted. Will definitely stay again if I return to Rome.

Great option if you want to be near Roma Termini and don't mind walking. The standard room is 'standard European small', but hey, no point spending all your time in a hotel room in Rome! The electric massaging / bending beds were great, and the free Android phone that we could take around Rome to use as a map was a brilliant way to avoid roaming charges.

Nice hotel with friendly staff”

Location

As soon as we checked in at the desk, a porter appeared to take our bags up to our room. We were given a free WiFi access code and were able to use it with our iPad and iPhone simultaneously. The room was small for a sofa, desk and coffee table. There was a safe in the wardrobe. Bathroom accessories were provided including toothbrush and paste and a shaving kit, which isn't typical. The bed was comfy and towels were replaced daily. There also was a small balcony in the room. Breakfast was plentiful, with both Western and various European styles catered for. The hotel is located within a two minute walk to Termini station and we'd recommended a Roma Pass at 30 Euro per person. It will get you on all public transport and allow you to visit the Colosseum, Roman Forum and various other attractions, without the need to queue or pay another cent. However, you may only enter two attractions free of charge - thereafter, the rest are available at a reduced rate.

This hotel is conveniently located within 5 minutes walk to the Termini train station where there is a great supermarket and a range of convenient retail stores; 3 minutes to the Hop On-Hop Off Buses; 20 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. 35 minute taxi ride to the airport. My room was clean and comfortable with a very nice bathroom and a cool queen-sized massage bed - fabulous after a day on your feet in the hot sun. The staff are friendly and Jayson and the team in the breakfast dining room are absolutely wonderful. Totally worth buying the Hop-On bus ticket and 'Skip the Line' and 'Guided Tour' tickets to the Colosseum and the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel - queues are outrageous - vendors for these are dotted all over the city!
