Perfect getaway”
Aura Marina is highly recommended for those who enjoy a serene and relaxing vacation. It is far from the town proper, but the comfort offered by the hotel is worth it. In fact, we stayed in the hotel most of the time. After witnessing a crowded Sabang Beach is, I was really glad we booked Aura Marina. It is also near some of the other interesting sights like the Diguisit Rock Formations, Dicasalarin Cove, and Lighthouse Baler. The food is fantastic. Their Kaya toast and Laksa are the best I have tried in the Phil.

Surprisingly the perfect romantic getaway”
We booked Aura because of its 4.5 rating. And we weren't disappointed. After 9 hours of commute by bus, we were exhausted! But the moment we saw the beach and the loud sound of the waves crashing, we were immediately transported to an idyllic place for an RnR. It was like being in a Nicholas Spark novel (think Nights at Rodanthe). With the lighthouse on a hill as a backdrop, it's the perfect romantic spot in Baler. Away from crowds and tourists (which we prefer). That said, this resort is far from the town proper and Sabang Beach. From the bus terminal, the 20-30min tryc ride will cost you 150 pesos. The beach here is rocky and not ideal for swimming. Water though is so clear and refreshing we couldn't resist to take a dip. Bring beach shoes for safety. The hotel itself was cozy and Ate Abby was very accommodating. Shampoo and conditioner would have been nice to have though. Make sure to take the 15-minute hike to the lighthouse to meet the rising sun. Its just incredible! Will be back

Good family-operated resort”
Our stay at Aura Marina Sands Beach was good. It is a family-operated small boutique resort which makes it a fantastic experience. Staying in a container modular van was not bad at all. It is as if we were in a 'tiny house', complete with t&b, airconditioning, cable tv and clean room. The location is away from the Sabang surfer's crowd and very ideal just to have a R&R staycation. The only thing that the resort needs to improve is to provide more variety and choices of food.

Great staff! ”
The place is exactly as advertised. The owners, Sharolyn and his husband, were very accommodating. I had to coordinate via phone call with Sharolyn before our arrival and she's been patient and very helpful in answering my questions as well as assisting us with all our needs (tours, tricycle ride to and from hotel, even buying pasalubong!) . The entire staff were very helpful and always had a ready smile :) As a suggestion (though not sure if it's feasible), perhaps they can provide a free shuttle going to and from Sabang beach or central area every hour or so? Aura Marina is quite far from the central area and each tricycle ride would cost around 150-200 pesos.

Classy place”
Staff very friendly, accommodating and gives a lot of options with their menus. Very serene place, quiet, and very breath-taking scenery especially coming in the property you get to see the bare ness of the mountain with all the trees growing about from it. Walked on the beach in the evening with a torch you get to see many amazing wildlife such as hermit and coconut crabs, starfishes, sea urchins, crabs, shells. You can walk as far as 30meters in the beach at night and early morning as the tide had receded. May be too rocky though for swimming as me and my Brit had to retreat when we saw it was a bit rocky for us to handle plus the waves incoming were bit rough. Good pool directly overviewing the beach. Our room is by the second floor nearest the beach where you can just sit quietly on the porch to watch the sunset and the sunrise. Cool place. May want to go back here. Definitely.👌👌👌🍹🍹 ~ J & E

The ower of the resort is so nice ”
The Room is clean though it's small. This resort has 8 rooms made of cargo container. The place is relatively small facing to a beach. The benefit is that it's quiet and almost no people there, so it could be a private place. The ower of the resort is so enthusiastic.

This place is not as crowded as the resorts in Sabang beach and it will give you the relaxation that you need. The owners, Philip and Sharolyn are very welcoming and accommodating. They let us to check in early and check out late a bit.

Real value for money”
We had the whole resort for ourselves as other guest had cancelled due to super typhoon.. If you are looking for real relaxation, I would totally recommend the place.. staff was friendly and accomodating.. Special mention to Abby! Who made us feel at home with her great hospitality and service.. Didn't mind that there was no wifi at the place..

Kind staffs and very accommodating. They even let you bring foods from outside unlike other hotels around the area. The rooms are neat and clean. There’s a grilling area, the place is near the lighthouse. Satisfied customer :)

Our semi private family gathering”
The owners were very attentive to our needs. It felt like the place was ours during our stay. It wasn't too crowded as it only had 8 rooms which we really enjoyed. It is 20 mins away from Sabang surf area but we enjoyed every bit of it. The rock formations were awesome. We appreciate the natural beauty of the sea.

Amazing spot”
This is a great place to stay if you want to chill out, and avoid people. You'll want a car too since it's far from the main town area. The staff was just one lady who worked very hard and served us well. The owner stopped by and he was very friendly. The place is obviously a family run place with a relaxed environment. They let you BBQ and bring your own food if you like. They can add items like rice for a reasonable rate. Food was very good and prices were reasonable. I booked last minute so the rate was higher than I wanted to pay. If it was about 1000 Peso cheaper it would be great value. But the price is similar to other places in the Philippines. Overall, a great place.

Price of other hotels much nearer to sabang was near the price of this hotel. The route there was difficult the time we visited. The staff was very friendly though.

GREAT PLACE IN BALER”
The room is very neat and tidy. enough space for 2. far from sabang but if you want a more quite and secluded place, this is a good location. very near at dicasalrin for a good swim. staff are very accomodating. good view. good pool. didn't get a chance to try their singaporean dishes but will surely try next time. definitely recommend this place.
