Perfect”

Staff, Room Size, Breakfast

Hotel Aurelius was probably the best thing that happened to us in Europe. The staffs were out of the world with their professionalism and help, and the hotel itself was perfect in everyway imaginable. To be honest, when I was looking for a hotel in Rome, I was slightly skeptical about Hotel Aurelius given that we were not really a fan of its traditional design seen in the pictures and it seemed far from town centre. How wrong was I! The room was clean, big and most of all pretty modern in many aspects contrary to the pictures. I would say the pictures really don't do the hotel justice. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the warmth of front desk Manager Gianfranco who extended his hospitality to us very well. He gave us a quick intro of Rome which was very helpful, told us lots of tips and amenities around. Throughout the stay, his other colleague Ihab was superb in his service as well, whipping up fantastic breakfast according to our requirements. (The lobby was under renovation, so they delivered breakfast to our rooms daily. We requested for different things daily and he accomodated to EVERYTHING!) Location wise was nothing to worry about. Metro was just a 5 minute walk away and it brings you to all the major attractions in no time. You can get to the other line in just about 15-20 minutes as well and there are very good bus services outside of the hotel. The only downside to our stay was the dodgy WIFI. It was slow and might need some upgrading. I like the system though, you don't have to re-login every time you go back to the hotel, it just connects back automatically and you can request for as many password from the reception for your various devices. Overall it was a mindblowing stay. If the management is reading this, please give them a bloody pay rise and keep such fantastic staffs in your hotel.

Quaint hotel brimming with hospitality”

Price, hospitality, location

Right on the money, this hotel was the perfect jumping off point for exploring beautiful Rome. Located near the subway which delivers you into the heart of the city in no time, Hotel Aurelius was just the right combination of hospitality, character, and history to make our stay very memorable. While the rooms were on the small side, they are perfect for a couples getaway. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotless, and the amenities were very well maintained. Overall, a very positive experience. I would definitely stay here again if I visit Rome in the future.

Absolutely Brilliant service - Best Hotel in Rome!”

Staff are amazing

We stayed 8 nights in Hotel Aurelius at the start of August this year and loved every minute of it. We booked based on good reviews by preious travellers and we were not disappointed. The staff were so friendly and helpful the whole time, they even greeted us with a free bottle of wine upon check-in. I can't say enough about how the staff, but aside from this, the hotel amenities are excellent, breakfast far exceeded our expectations (we were expecting a continental breakfast, but found a very wide range of everything at breakfast each day, including fresh fruits and several hot cooked options each day). The small gym was useful, it is very basic, but a treadmill was all I required so it was fine. We did not use the spa and jacuzzi but they looked nice. Location was great, 2 minute walk to the metro A line. And only a couple stops from the Vatican. In short, brilliant hotel! 10/10. highly recommend it. Stay there!!!

This is a true art gallery hotel. Wonderful to look at, and Gian Franco exceeded expectations in providing us the best room and amenities. Gian allowed us to sit in the lobby amongst the high-end art sipping cappuccinos in the morning. We will definitely come back!

Small lovely hotel, convenient with friendly staff”

5mins to get to Metro, Mc Donald and convenient store is nearby.

Hotel location is very near to the Metro(Subway), very convenient, just 4 stations to Vatican city and ~8stations to Trevi Fountain/etc. Hotel room is small, try to get the floors that's reachable by the elevator, don't get the mezzanine floor as you need to carry your luggage up and down. Breakfast is very good, with a variety of hams, scramble eggs, sausage&bacon and a wide variety of fruits, cereals and cakes, they have fresh mozzarella and a coffee machine that brews good cappuccino. This hotel has the best breakfast in all the 5hotels I stayed in around Italy(Rome/Florence/Venice/Novara/Milan). If you are on a budget travel, this hotel is a good choice, breakfast included for ~Euro70, you save on breakfast where you can really fill your stomach and skip lunch...if I am ever back in Rome, I will definitely go back to this hotel.

Greeted by the warmest hotel staff, very helpful advice for dining, transport, weather etc. Quality clean room, very quiet best after a long day. Easily accesible to metro 200m walk; local community

Hotel Aurelius was a beautiful 4,nite stay for us. The place was beautifully decorated and newly upgraded with a taste of rome, the staff are so genuine in making us comfortable and well informed. Love the local community around it, very lively and some good restaurants just across the street, went to Guscosando twice , loved their pasta and grills!

A Great Hotel!”

Excellent service, Conventiant location, affordable prices

i stayed here with a friend for a week and we were very happy with everything about the hotel! it's conveniantly located, with a train station just around the corner from which it's only a short ride into the centre of rome. the service was excellent, the receptionists were particularly helpful and able to offer plenty of advice on things to see and how to best get around the city. while our room was fairly small it served out needs fine, the overall atmosphere of the hotel is great, espeacially in the foyer and the breakfast supplied each morning kept us going for most of the day! i would thoughrly recommend it to anyone looking for good, affordable accommodation in rome.

Great time at Hotel Aurelius”

The hotel itself is lovely, clean and comfortable with excellent, friendly helpful staff that really looked out for us. We got a great price for our 4 night stay and it really was great value for money. The location is the only slight downside but it is what it is really. You know you will have to travel given it's not in the centre, but the facilities you get for the price make up for that and it's great for the Metro and buses (get CityMapper and the buses are no problem!). A cab back from town was around €15 (with tip). The other advantage is you are in a more residential area so get to go out and eat with the locals at some great local places which the staff are happy to recommend. Overall really impressed and it lives up to the great reviews!

Cleanliness, staff and position of hotel.

Checked this hotel out before we travelled. All the comments were great! The staff went out of their way to make our stay fantastic. The rooms were very clean and spacious for Rome. The Metro was literally around the corner, handy for the centre of Rome. Meals were very good with a great choice.

Friendly staff, clean and nice room”

Excellent staff service, close to metro and many nice restaurant nearby

I have stayed 3 nights in Rome. It was a pleasant stay. The staff is welcoming and very attentive by providing us a map and many information about the attractions and transportation. We have arrived the hotel about 11am morning after a 16 hours long flights but the room is not ready to check in. The staff notice that we are tired and offer to assist us check in another room which is ready. This is wonderful. The breakfast is nice and served variety of foods and many choice of small packet biscuits which we can take it and have it along our tour. The nearest Metro station is Cornelia station which is about 5 mins walk and it is about 9 stops away from Roma Termini central station which took about 20mins. There is Mcdonalds around the junction and many restaurants nearby served local food. The staff have recommend us a nice italy restaurant named Gustosando which is 5mins walking. We have our dinner there one night and they served nice spaghetti, pizza and wine. We have a chinese cuisine dinner another night in one block away from the hotel also serve nice and cheap chinese dishes. There is one convenient store right next to the hotel which you can buy cheap food and drinks. Overall is a pleasant stay, check in and check out is easy. Romms is quite small but is clean. The breakfast is nice.

Beautiful, quiet hotel”

This is a beautiful hotel. Busts and statues of famous ancient Romans adorn without getting cheesy. The rooms are comfortable, impeccably clean. There are small, intimate courtyards around ever corner for a couple coffee or a conversation. The staff speak English well and around very kind, helpfull, and knowledgeable. They can help print out travel vouchers, get concert tickets, etc. They can get taxi to airport for you, too, cost €50. Just around the corner from the Cornelia metro stop. Find your way to the hotel before dark, as it is easy to get out of the Metro on the wrong street. Bus is just around the corner too, and runs into town. Small business area near the front desk with a computer and printer. WiFi is free. TV in the room with channels in Enlish, French, German, Arabic, and a few others. No nearby laundry, but I did not ask if the hotel could do it. Many restaurants and shopping nearby, easily walkable.

Informative and attentive staff, walking distance to subway station and clean room

Our arrival and departure experience were perfect. On the arrival day, the receptionist showed us the map of Rome with explanation of how to go to the main tourist spots from the hotel. She and her colleague had arranged us a cab (MPV) to airport at just Euro 50. Room is clean, the staff are helpful and standby 24 hours a day. 5 minutes walk to the subway station, two stops to Vatican Museums and St. Peter Basilica. Hotel provides only breakfast, no restaurant and in-room dining service in the rest of the day. Hair dryer is old design which you may consider to bring your own one.

Gem outside the city centre”

The hotel staffs were very warm and knowledgeable. I was given good advices on where to eat and where to go. Good wifi and clean rooms. Nice cafes nearby. Not too far from the metro line. Overall, a great stay in Rome.

Charming hotel with great Metro access”

Loved the hotel and staff! I was traveling with my 70+ year old aunt and the staff was fantastic in getting her set up and comfortable in the room before I arrived in Rome.

Lovely hotel, great service and good location”

Helpful staffs, convenient location, free wifi, good breakfast

It was raining when we arrived at the hotel and we just had a terrible experience with the taxi driver who fetched us from the airport. Luckily we had warm welcome from the hotel front desk so our impression of Rome was slightly improved. The hotel is conveniently located with metro station and Mc Donald just around the corner. it also provides good selection of breakfast buffet. The room is comfy and the bathroom is immaculate. In general we had a pleasant stay.

Excellent Stay”

Perfect Stay, location is very good, very near to Metro so anywhere in Rome is within reach. Also there are many grocery stores around, restaurants, ticketing agents of trains, so it was a very convenient location for us. I arrived early, the room wasn't ready, after asking me to wait for a while, they upgraded my room as I was with my infant daughter, for that I will be always very thankful. The staff is also very friendly, A BIG THUMBS UP.
