Great facilities and value for money!”
Very close to the beach. Excellent facilities and the restaurant offers really good dishes. I love the breakfast choices. We will definitely come back to stay at this hotel.

Great Location on the Water”
We stayed in one of the cottages with a plug-in fan and had the option of turning on the a/c unit if desired for an additional charge. The room stayed relatively cool each night using just the fan despite the city-wide power outages. The room was basic and included a large outdoor area with a table, chairs and a clothesline. The breakfast each day was great! Unlimited packets of coffee and Milo were available and there was a list of breakfast choices to pick from. All choices were served with fresh fruit. The banana pancakes were especially tasty! The hotel is located on the water and the staff set up tables and chairs on the sand to drink a cold beer and watch the sunset each night. The hotel is also conveniently located to a few corner stores, other restaurants, and of course, the boatmen waiting to book your snorkeling tour. A great stay overall!

Hard to sleep”
No A/C at night because they cut the power from midnight to 7am. I’m not one to need AC to sleep but this room had only one window. Also there is someone with roosters nearby so you will be woken up at like 4am or earlier. This seems to be a problem with the area, not just this hotel as I saw roosters all over town. Good luck.

Acceptable”
the room we had was very dark. unable to get sunlight or much wind to dry any thing hanging on the lines had almost 24hr power. good for having the fan on. the shower gas heater was too hot,who wants such hot water in a hot country? lucky i knew how to disconnect it. foul smell from the neighbours i think, of rotting coconuts. when the wind was from the wrong direction. nice size breakfast, nice location by the sunsetting beach.

Amazing place”
I recommend this place!! We really enjoyed our stay here, the room is very comfortable, clean and quiet (except the cock in the morning). At 100m from the beach, the location is ideal. Staff is available and answered all my questions kindly and quickly by email and on place they are available and helpful. Breakfast is very good also! I hope I will come here again!

Great location but too noisy and hot”
We have mixed feeling about Ausan. The location is absolutely perfect as it is really on the beach. However we had our worst nights during our 20 days-stay in the Philippines. The electricity shuts down at midnight until 7am and it gets way too warm to sleep comfortably. That would be not so bad if it weren't for the roosters who can't stop crowing all night long (literally from midnight to 10 am) and since there are no glass windows (only mosquito netting) we simply can't cut the noise. Also someone decided to do a loud prayer from 5 to 7 am without consideration for other guests. So overall our experience was not that good but we might give Ausan another chance if we were to come back to Port Barton, depending on whether they install real windows.

Really nice place to stay!”
Stayed here 3 nights in a standard fan room. Rooms are big enough with comfy bed. It is located on the beach., so you walk outside and you can dive in the water. It is located central of all the touroperators, bars and restaurants. So you will find everything you need within 5min walk. The staff is super friendly and will help you out with all of your questions really quick. The rooms were very clean and bathrooms too. The only thing I could say, is that the electricity goes of in the night so it gets really hot in the rooms. I can really recommend this place to everybody!!

Problem is the electricity. It goes off at midnight. So it doesnt matter if you get a fan or aircon room. You have nothing while you sleep.

Not Guest Oriented ”
The place itself is perfectly located on the beach. But there are so are many more. We were in the newer section and the way to it, is yet to be paved, a promise for sand in your nice room. And the rooms are nice, running water, flush and hot water were a change after Sabang. The place itself is nicely built and looks hospitable, though everything else doesn't. Maybe they've had a bad experiences with other guests, but the bottom line was, we didn't feel like welcomed and valued guests. Placards everywhere, mostly for "Don't". Army style. Electricity runs from 7am till midnight. You can pay for an extra hour from 6am to 7am. Staff is lacking a smile and manners. Was answered rudely, when I complained the electricity wasn't working at 715am and we were going on island Hopping and needed the phone charged before leaving at 8am. Asked to buy a smoothie, got barked at instead of saying they don't serve it anymore. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. If you wake up easily from noise, get ear plugs... The chickens call all day and all night.

Like living on a farm ”
This place could be great. It has the perfect location just on the beach and has some nice views to the ocean BUT if you want to sleep this is not the place. Chickens make noise the whole night! The power is out at 12 so no fan or anything works which makes the room very warm. I can live with both but the staff just don't want you to come back. The boss is very kind but the rest should not work in service business. When you stand in front of the desk they almost don't care, and finally they say " yes mam", as if it was very awful that you want to order your breakfast or lunch. Even during the day if u ask them for a cup of tea or something they seem as if it was a problem. Don't run a restaurant if you don't want people to order. A little plus is the very big pan cakes they serve for breakfast.

Dark Room”
The location of the hotel is close to the beach and walkable to the main street. The staff were nice and respectful. Our room is too dated. Very dark and the design is very 60's. It needs some serious refurbishment. It's a fan room so it gets so sticky during hot season. The breakfast was pretty standard for that type of accommodation. Power outtage is common especially at night time.

Great resort in Barton”
This is the most centrally located place in Barton, if that’s what you want. There are many kinds of rooms, but I’d recommend a seafront room in the new building if you can get one. It’s quieter and has the best views. Of course the treetop rooms have better views, but they seem noisier and you have to clinb down to use the washroom. WiFi is pretty weak, but that’s Palawan.
