Very cheap but nice services”

I get 6-female dormitory with bathroom on 3rd floor. (+) more cheaper but nice facilities (+) location is near stadion & Lao National Museum. I always walk to night market (Mekong River) (+) the staff can speak English more well than the other hostel staff. They are very friendly. Available airport transfer by motorcycle, LAK 32.000 (+) the room is clean. The bed & pillow are soft. (-) only stairs. But it's OK, i must to exercise (-) i didn't rent bicycle from Avalon B&B.. The staff said there was not available. But i can rent to the other bycicle rental.

Very good”

We stayed here while visiting Vientiane for 3 days. We somehow managed to get a private room, which was just a doom room with 4 beds (2 king size, 2 bunk beds) that we had to ourselves. We had no issue with the air-conditioning being cut off during the day, we had control over when it was on/off. The free breakfast that was provided was a nice touch, but like other reviews have stated, it is really not that much food. But it's free. The wifi here was spotty at best, and sometimes it didn't work at all. The staff was pleasant enough. The location is ok. The night market and the night food markets are close by, along with a few restaurants, but it is kind of far from some of the other Vientiane sights you may want to check out.

Good for a couple of nights, and you like wuiet”

This hostel was in a great location, but I felt like it was "away from the crowd", despite the short distance it is to many activities and location. I noticed many of the other travelers were in other locations, perhaps it is just how things are spaced out in Vientiane. Overall, my experience has been great. Loved the breakfast idea and there is a lobby area to eat and such on the 3rd floor, there the smaller dorms are. The internet can be better, but it is vientiane. Will recommend, and have no problems with bed bugs, but there are ants...just try to not be in corners or leave things in orders.

Very good”

Saw that this hostel was recommended by someone who moved after a bad stay in another hostel, and chose this for my trip to Vientiane. I was very satisfied with the rooms, bed and bathrooms, except the bathroom in the girls dorm was not cleaned in the two days I stayed. Free breakfast was good, staff was helpful (when not on their phones) and I was happy with the wifi and the area around. Air con works and there are fleece blankets but not towels. Definitely recommend this to another solo traveller :-)

best hostel in Vientiane for value for money”

Compared all other hostels in Vientiane and this one is by far best value for money. Breakfast is included but is poor quality and size, but same as other hostel standards here. Beds and pillows are so soft. Individual lights and outlets, lockers are big. Many bathrooms and hot water showers. Con: staff won't turn on AC until 7 pm and the room gets really hot in the day and onto care even if people are sick. There was a problem in the other dorm with bed bugs but they took it seriously.

A nice clean place with a small cafe attached”

The hostel is a bit far from center so it's really quiet. The staff are all nice and enthusiasm to help. I booked a bed in 6-bed female dorm and the room is clean and bright, though a bit hot in afternoon since there's no AC till 6PM. Recommend

It lacked a little on the social front during my stay, but the beds are very comfortable, the room has a decent amount of space around the bunks and its very clean. I would stay here again.

Worst hostel experience”

The staff were absolutely useless. Unwilling to help, didn't care unless you paid. The room was freezing cold as all the other backpackers were sleeping in heavy jackets. When asked for additional blankets it cost 10,000kip each. Which was said to be a deposit at the start, when I returned the blankets, the guy refused to give me my money back. I got food poisoning while in Vientiane and needed to drink large amounts of water, when asked about the big bottles of water they have on the fridge pricelist, they just say no. So instead I had to purchase 5 bottles of small water to last me through the night. Hot showers is a joke, the water is barely luke warm. 10/10 would not recommend, avoid at all costs

Some goods, some bads”

The beds are comfy, cleanliness is ok and staff is friendly. However, the dorm i booked turned out to have 8 beds instead of 6, and breakfast is poor and there is no option to have a tea instead of coffee or some chemical juice they put on the menu as orange juice. If you want tea, you have to pay for it, even if you don't drink the coffee or juice.
