Super staff, great location, and rooms with balconies!”
We stayed at the Avalon with our four daughters (18, 17, 13 and 11) and had a wonderful time. The hotel is situated near the Gare Du Nord train station and Metro so very easy to access. It’s also only a short walk from the Sacre Coeur. The staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful. We had two triple rooms and both were fairly spacious and clean. The service staff were very efficient. Despite being on a main road, the double door windows kept out most of the noise, and each room was equipped with air conditioning unit(s). And this was needed as it was over 30 degrees at times when we were there! The absolute bonus for us was a balcony for both rooms, so we could sit and watch the area on an evening or first thing in the morning. For what we paid, and the location, this was a major plus. Paris is a beautiful city, and we had a fabulous time. The Avalon Hotel absolutely added to the experience.

A fantastic place to stay when travelling to/from Gare du Nord ”
Absolutely fantastic place! So glad I found it for my short stay in Paris. I travelled with Eurostar so the location was key. It took me 5mins walking to get to the station. There are also plenty of local restaurants and bars around. The room was sparkling clean with lovely huge bed and bath! It was also very quiet which made my stay very relaxing. The lady at the reception was friendly and helpful. Really recommend this place for anyone who is travelling and staying in Paris.

Nice hotel , everything you need available .Lobby with free tea and wifi were you can sit quietly and plan youre Paris trips . A place to store youre suitcases and good check in time ( 14.oo) check out at 12Super location 7 min walk to Gare du Nord. Supermarket and across the street and backery almost next door. We had a very quiet inside room that was renovated and aa good bed with new bathroom ( you need to let the water run for a good while to get hot water) only french tv channels was a minus . Friendly staff, small buffet breakfast was included in our hotel booking . I would stay here again .

Exceptional”
For the price that I paid for, I didn’t expect much to begin with. I chose this hotel because we will arrive late in Paris by Eurostar and I read from other reviewers that it is not so safe to walk around near the train station so I booked something which is really close by only 5 minutes walk. Yet, the staff were friendly and helpful. The room that we stayed in was clean with no AC but with a small fan. Thankfully, it wasn’t too hot that night so we were able to keep the windows closed as it could be very noisy as it is on the Main Street. The hotel has a small lobby with an old free arcade machine and football table that my son enjoyed playing very much.

Excellent hotel for travellers coming in via Eurostar or transiting to other cities via train ”
Hotel is near to Gare Du Nord which is helpful when you arrived via Eurostar. It is excellent choice to stay near the station as lugging the luggage in metro during peak hours would be close to impossible. Family room is good for 2 adults and 2 teenage children. We had a room not facing the road side thus no street noise issue. Hotel offers free luggage storage when we arrived early. Safety wise around the Gare Du Nord area and other tourist location in Paris, you need to be extra careful but I didn’t put encounter any issue. Plenty of food options nearby and several mini market around for the area.

Super location 5 min from Gare du Nord and 5 min from Gare de L'Est, nice big, clean room with view to the trees at the boulevard, quiet even if on a main street, and very kind staff. Big comfortable bathroom and really comfy beds. Only thing that would be great was nicer cosy lamps, and a better breakfast, but all this is easy sort w a bit of imagination. One can not expect more for this super fair price in central Paris! The kind staff made a difference to our stay, and we will definitely be back, thank you for such a nice stay!

Convenient Hotel”
Only 5 minutes from the Gare de Nord Station - handy for Eurostar travellers. Also handy for Metro and RER lines. Hotel is old but rooms were of decent size and clean and tidy. Staff was very helpful - as there was no fridge in the room they allowed me to keep beer in the hotel kitchen fridge !

Room was clean, water heater seems work. Staff are really friendly, great location around 10 mins walk from gare du nord, and near metro. However, it quite close to main road expect the place quite noisy. And it is cheap for the location.

Great welcome, our room was perfect for a one night stopover in Paris. One lift was broken which was a shame and the other lift only went to the fifth floor. Our room was on the 6th which, ordinarily wouldn’t be a problem except when you have a sleeping baby in a pushchair . . . . Other than that, really good hotel. Hoping to come back again sometime.
