"The newest chic hotel in Bacolod"”
Stylish and vibrant, modern and hip..certainly, it's the Avenue Suites! The newest addition in Bacolod's downtown. Its location is perfect for sight-seeing, dining and night life. Famous nearby attractions are the Negros Museum, the Negros Showroom, the old Negros Provincial Capitol, the Negros Occidental Capitol Park and Lagoon and the Negros Forest and Ecological Foundation Inc. It's also readily accessible to Bacolod's famous gastronomic places such as Manokan Country, Bob's Restaurant, Pepe's Restaurant and Bar, Chicken Deli, and the heaven of cakes..Calea. It's also near Piazza Sorrento, where you can delight your night with a drink and good music. The hotel per se is a pleasant place to stay. They have spacious and very comfortable rooms. Staff always wear their smiles regardless of the time of the day. The Bacolod's way of life, sweetness and smiles, indeed extended by the hotel.
Great Location, Good Price, Nice Rooftop Breakfast”
PLUSES: Great Location (by the iconic PNB building), Very Decent Price, Helpful Staff, Yummy Breakfast, Nice Rooftop Restaurant. MINUSES: Bathrooms Could be Cleaner & Newer-looking, Internet--Good but Not Always Available. I stayed @ Avenue Suites in late June, 2015 for 4 nights, 5 days. I tried 3 different rooms so I have a fairly decent knowledge of what they offer, although I never tried the ones without windows. It's close to Silay airport, very busy Lacson Street, Manokan Country (a MUST visit--ONLY try Aida's), Capitol Lagoon, malls (SM City, Robinson's), the ferry going to Iloilo, Pala-Pala w/ lots of fresh seafood, LOTS OF GREAT RESTAURANTS (incl. iconic 21 Restaurant and Bob's), etc. The only negative I could find is that the bathrooms always look older than they are. I think because of the lighting & fixtures. The dark-colored sinks are cleaned I'm sure but they somehow look untouched and doesn't have that shiny hotel look. MINOR ISSUES: The shower area in one of the rooms had drainage issues resulting in standing water--it drained, yes, but the floor was sloping AWAY from the drainage so you have to use your foot to push the water towards the drain. The internet generally worked but not always. I'd usually just call the front lobby & it worked, which brings us to a big plus ... the staff. With the exception of one isolated incident when the cleaning staff forgot to clean my room despite my request, everyone is very nice and helpful, from the front desk people to the door men, and the restaurant staff. TIP: MAKE SURE YOU TRY THEIR BREAKFAST. IT'S VERY RELAXING TO START ONE'S DAY IN THEIR ROOFTOP RESTAURANT. You can see part of Banago, the city's old sea port. The Chow King nearby also has one of the best halo-halo in the city supposedly although I didn't have time to try it. I hadn't been back home for 20+ years when I visited Bacolod during this time and Avenue Suites helped me have a positive experience. Looking forward to coming back!
New hotel is a great - safe location”
Avenue Suites is located on Lacson Street and it is a great location for eating, banks, laundrettes, 24 hour shop next door, internet cafe very close by, etc. Hotel is very clean, decent quality fixtures and fittings, housekeeping daily, good quality sheets and bed linen, air-con, satellite, hot powerful shower and very reasonably priced. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Armed security on front desk (don't worry this is normal in the Philippines). Hotel is so new it is still on 'soft opening' but the work is done at a reasonable hour with minimal disruption and I didn't really notice it at all. Probably why the price is low for this quality of hotel. The standard room had a double bed and the double room had two singles which we pushed together. This is a repeat review as I stayed at Avenue Suites on numerous occasions using it as a base in Bacolod during my month travelling around the Philippines (Negros/Cebu)

Great for 1 night refresh”
After long day travelling from Manila, this hotel was perfect for everyone in our group to recharge and get good night sleep in good beds, before the start of our adventure into the the remote parts of negros occidental. Ideally located, it was close to the centre of town, where we could access the SM shopping mall for supplies, and the manokan (barbecue chicken) cluster of restaurants. The staff are helpful and friendly, and the rooftop eatery/bar is a great viewpoint to see Bacolod.
Very affordable right in the middle of everything”
The hotel is located right along the main road in Bacolod (Lacson Ave). Considering the very affordable price, it's your best bet when you plan to stay in Bacolod for the Masskara festival (Lacson Avenue is where the parade pass by). It's very convenient -- you can take a cab, a jeepney or a tricycle from its main doors, restaurants abound within the the next 5 blocks to your left and right including hang-out places at night, and the pasalubong shop, Merci, is also just a few steps away! The hotel is itself looks classy. The guards and bellboy are very attentive and polite. It has a small receiving area at the lobby, but if you have a bigger group waiting for you, you can always invite them to stay inside the Pancake House (which also serves the guests' breakfast! What a treat!) During our stay though, the hotel still had ongoing construction at the 6th floor, and what seem to be their function/dining area at the second floor is yet to be completely furnished. Understandably, the place seemed dusty from the ongoing work. The attendants say the owners target to fully complete the construction in time for the famed festival. The room we stayed in is a Double Deluxe and was big enough for myself and my husband. It even has small balcony, which again would have been perfect had we stayed during the Masskara festival. The bathroom looks elegant, but I hated the showers and the bidet -- not too sure what's wrong, but the water sprayed from those really hurt your skin (my hubby's skin still hurt the day after). Also, the heater doesn't seem to work well -- even if you move the shower knob to hottest, the water is still even short of warm.
Continues to be one of the best hotels in Bacolod”
I have stayed at Avenue Suites many times and it continues to be one of the best hotels in Bacolod, especially for the price. I have 2 young children so the deluxe room with 2 double beds is perfect for a family of 4. The staff are friendly and attentive and the hotel is clean and presentable. The rooms are larger than the average size for Bacolod hotels which again is a plus. One final point, just a few metres to next to the hotel (turn left out of the front door) is an excellent Japanese restaurant called L'Kaisei, great food at a very good price.
Great Hotel!”
Our stay in Avenue Suites was great! I really loved that it is centrally located that we just needed to walk to visit famous restaurants and attractions in the city. It is located at the main road so transportation is very accessible. I also loved the very clean room and the hotel as a whole, fast check in and checked out. And I really loved the roofdeck dining experience - eating with a view of the cuty and the sea. I will definitely go back to avenue suites when I return to Bacolod.
Best Location, in the heart of Bacolod”
I booked with a no cancellation policy, but due to unfavorable weather, i wasnt able to pursue my trip. i called the hotel for reconsideration and they kindly moved my booking date at no cost. thank you so much! the hotel is nice, the room was spacious. and the hotel staff were very polite. the hotel is located at the heart of bacolod city. one minute walk from Calea, a coffee shop that serves one of the best pastries in bacolod. it is surrounded by restaurants and convenient stores. one ride (jeepney) going to Robinson's and SM city. Theres a pasalubong shop beside the hotel. so convenient staying here. One thing about this hotel is that they got the best spa service in the city. Unluckily, i wasnt able to book for a massage because all of their therapists are fully booked. Il surely stay on this hotel again.
Clean room as always”
As usual, they have clean rooms. But I am starting to see a few flaw this time. The scent of the towels are not as good anymore. And speaking of towels, I wish they had larger ones. I also wish their extra bed was a little nicer. Paying P500 for an extra bed when the entire room was just about P1600 is a little pricey. Our room was overlooking Lacson and had a balcony. I wish I could have stayed in that room during Masskara, it would have been a blast. Avenue Suites is now my personal choice in Bacolod so I'm still rating this high.
It’s really lovely peaceful and great places to visit in this city ”
I have a really great with lovely Experience here in Bacolod city ,,, regarding this hotel ( (Avenue Suites ) its excellent in all even staff food location WiFi every was great Thanks for them all specially Staff who served me named: Jaquleen
deluxe room was better than the superior deluxe”
The deluxe room I booked last time was better than the superior deluxe I booked this time. This room I booked had small windows and an air conditioning that was either not cold enough or placed on the wrong part of the room. Their towels are pretty small. I will try the other hotels in Bacolod next time but Avenue Suites is my hotel of choice so far.
Excellent”
Whenever I go to Bacolod I stay at Avenue Suites. However, a lot has changed since my first visit. The hotel did expand and did some renovations (ie lobby cafe, more floor for rooms) but sadly, the old rooms deteriorated. Aircon wasn't working properly. Rooms could have a little more light and outlets. On the bright side, rooms are spacious and clean. Great location and very friendly and helpful staff though :)
Great hotel for its price. ”
We enjoyed our stay because of its staff, room and location. I will be coming back to Bacolod several times next year and I will surely booked in Avenue Suites. The standard room was very comfortable for us senior citizens. I would like to suggest that for senior citizens, they should put us closer to the elevator.
Great location & staff, not-so-great breakfast”
Excellent. Check in was fast and effortless. Rooms are large and comfortable and has free WiFi. Location is near to must-visit Bacolod restaurants, most are walking distance or just a short jeepney/taxi ride away, which is good since their free breakfast buffet is nothing to write home about. Still, will not hesitate to stay here if we need to be in Bacolod again. Taxi from the airport costs around P500. If you're good in negotiating perhaps you can bring it down but it is the standard rate, as posted in the airport.
great hotel”
This one of my favorite hotels in bacolod. The staffs are well trained. The location is really great. Lots of restaurants nearby. The room is big, very nice and clean compared to other hotels for the price. Really great for value hotel. I highly reccomend this hotel for bacolod. Two thumbs up!
accessible and affordable”
The hotel is very near The Capitol which I think is the heart of Bacolod City. It is just one jeepney ride away from the major malls and fast food chains are just around the corner. I did not have much interaction with the staff. Reception was ok but they did not really exceed my expectation. The elevator was being repaired on the first floor during my stay and we could hear the noise even on the 4th floor, but they had visible notices for it. Outside food was not allowed which was kind of a deal breaker for me, but then we found out it was ok to have food delivered, so it still went ok.
A family-friendly hotel at the heart of the city!”
Spent 3 days and 2 nights in this hotel for a family vacation in Bacolod. Almost everything is just a stone throw away from this place. Reasonable price. Clean rooms. Breakfasts are served in their cozy coffee shop at the ground floor. Receptionists, guards and lobby staff are attentive and courteous. It's just that some repairs are ongoing during our stay, 'hoping this will be completed really soon as we heard some construction noises from our room.
Excellent accommodations, staff very helpfull”
The rooms were adequate and comfortable with wifi, desk, and complementary bottled water including electric coffee pot with coffee. Very comfortable bed , with no back aches in the morning. Flat screen tv with 60 channel selection, but no FOX news channel. Plenty of hot water, non skid mat available, standard towels for a 3 to 4 star hotel. Spent 4 nights with budget and standard rooms. If you stay in a standard room the laundry is free if not a rush request. Better book ahead for budget room, because the place is well liked in Bacolod and travelers seeking reasonable accommodations. Once you stay there… you will be back.
A quick getaway to Bacolod, but very memorable!”
It was a quick getaway to Bacolod city to attend a wedding. Everything was easy and accessible from the location of the hotel. There were plenty of restaurants nearby and the kids enjoyed pancake house very much which is just right next to the hotel. I also went for massage from the hotel partner spa and it was enjoyed a great room service massage. I also went for hair pampering At the salon right next to the hotel. The staff of the hotel were all friendly and they greet you at all times. Also very accommodating As well as the security guards being very respectful. I would recommend it to friends and of course will stay there again once we visit.
