Have stayed here twice. This is truly a 5 star resort. Clean and comfortable rooms with incredible grounds to enjoy. You are on the river and when you come to Kachanaburi that's what you want. LOCATION, LOCATION Great Service. Highly recommend!!

Stayed twice and loved it. The hotel building is beautiful, very spacious and clean rooms. The staff is very friendly and the surrounding area is wide, safe and has a great cookie and chocolate service at the head of the bed (rarely found). You can also enjoy snacks and drinks at the minibar (never seen before), which is great. The breakfast is decent, 4/5. The only small downside is that there is no elevator and no air conditioning in the lobby, which is very beautiful in an open, ancient style. Overall, highly recommend staying here in Kan.

Atmosphere in the hotel is great, with lots of trees providing shade and a cool breeze from the river. It's perfect for relaxation and we didn't encounter any mosquitoes.

Hotel is well maintained, spacious classic Thai design rooms, very clean, no complains at all. Big garden, plenty of space, garden is well looked after. Staff was kind and helpful all the time. Overall well worth the price we paid. Great for couples who enjoy quiet environment away from hassle of BKK. Big balcony. Breakfast was served in room during the weekdays and in restaurant on weekends. You can even enjoy fishing at the river. Bring your equipment. We enjoyed the hotel and surrounding. Make sure you bring your car or rent one. We would be back again if visit Ratchaburi.

Amazing stay at Away”
I went here with my wife and two parents who are in their 60s. The grounds here are incredible. Nestled along the River Kwai, this HUGE property is absolutely stunning. Rooms are enormous, large ceilings and huge balconies. The food is pretty decent too. Kanchanaburi is about 10 minutes by car. I actually highly recommend renting a car if going to Kanchanaburi, its cheap to do in Thailand and the area is pretty vast, getting to the WW2 memorial and national parks is not easy without your own transport.

Staff friendly and unfailingly polite from reception to the gardeners, from the car park attendants to the the lovely people who made up our rooms. Very comfortable rooms - spacious and elegant. We paid a little more and got the river view - we think it was worth it. Make a booking at the Rice Barge on the water or you may not get a table like us. We stayed 3 nights. One small criticism was that there could have been a little more variety for breakfast over that time but this is a really minor point. I'd stay longer at Away if I was to return to Kanchanaburi.
