good value for money”
Good value for money, great location, and very helpful staff. The breakfast was pretty basic and could do with some improvement. Overall, a great stay
Close to all the attractions in the old town. Great helpful staff!”
Nice room and amazing breakfast
Nice hotel ”
Evey one in the hotel are helpfull
Highly recommend. The staff were so kind, going the extra mile to make us feel welcome and wanted.”
We were given our choice of 2 different rooms when signing in. We were assisted with bringing our luggage to our room. Umbrellas we're offered to us when we were heading out to see the sights as it was raining. The front door was often opened for us and assistance given with bringing in the baby stroller. Our two children we're treated as prized guests and we're entertained by the staff in the lobby while we sat and enjoyed a cup of coffee at the end of the day. The rooms were clean and the breakfast buffet was plentiful. A highchair was available for the dinning room and a baby bed was also available. The location is about 6 blocks from the Blue Mosque. A secure parking lot was available for our rental car.
The most amazing hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and accommodating - a home away from home. I would definitely stay there again if I went back to Istanbul.
Friendly Staff, Value for money
acoustic insulation non-existent : embarrassing ! poor breakfast : boiled eggs.cucumber, tomatoes, feta. Full stop. No coffee. Staff : nice. Rooms: clean.- no fridge, no boiler,..but a "safe" !
Best and Near To all the main attractions”
Best hotel and all the staff are very friendly.
The room cleaning should be twice a day but unfortunately only once at the morning.
Excellent treatment from 'hands on' owner”
Short walk to Hagia Sophia and other ancient attractions, Nice to stroll around the neighborhood and explore all the various shops and stalls (excellent for the adventurous walker). Easy access to main thoroughfare and Grand Bazaar. Lots to do and see. Istanbul is a very lively city. I suggest the Bosporus cruise w/ lunch that can be arranged by the hotel. The owner Gaia (sp.) was a delight and treasure trove of helpful information. Only drawback was the short time (3 night/4 days) we stayed. Would definitely recommend. It is on my short-list of places to stay. Other info: Rooms were small but comfortable. Internet connection was good, breakfast was delicious and filling but not much variety day to day. Staff was very helpful. So much more but so little time...
We stayed here for 5 nights and it was great for our family of 4. We got the family suite which had a king size bed and two pull out sofa beds for our teenage boys. Space was tight in the room but it was nice having the bed space. Wifi worked pretty well although I wasn't able to get the Super Bowl to stream over my VPN. The bathroom was large but oddly done. It had a massive shower area. I would recommend that they rework the shower head to hang from ceiling and away from wall as the pressure was not enough to get the water far from the wall. The toilet was toddler sized and poorly placed. I would recommend a normal sized toilet be placed in the excess space closer to the window as I could barely squeeze between the wall and the toilet to sit on it. The staff were awesome! Although I never saw the Australian owner, all the Turkish folks spoke at least a little bit of English. In one case when we couldn't understand each other, he called someone else to help translate. Breakfast was pretty minimal but fine. Ours consisted of a hard boiled egg, bread, two kinds of cheese, some sort of processed meat and some cheese rolled in a pastry. Also include were coffee/tea and orange drink. This would keep us going until lunch. We would come again.
The stay was comfortable. Hotel room was clean and clean towels were provided. The windows need some repairs as they were letting in some wisps of cold air especially after it started snowing. Staff very hospitable and very helpful. The wifi works very well. They can however improve on the breakfast offering as its very basic.
The Ausi home from home”
Nice small hotel with character on the edge of Sultanahmet so close to all the sights. The Ausi owner goes out of her way to be friendly and helpful and we were the only non Ausis staying there. Has a nice rooftop terrace with a great view of the Sea of Marmaris to go and have a cold beer on and the breakfast was very good. Our room was pretty small and dark but was in the back, the rooms in the front looked much better.
Excellent on all counts.
Good Basic 3-star hotel”
