Ayodya probably is one of the few hotels that provides a luxurious yet authentic Balinese feel for both locals and foreigners through and through.

We only stayed one night for our anniversary. The Ayodya Palace staff are excellent. They are attentive, obliging and polite. Our check in was delayed due to the fact the guests in our assigned room decided they could take their time and ignore check out time guidelines. This was of no fault of the hotel. The staff kindly assigned us a temporary room to store our things and shower or rest if needed. We however were only interested in getting to the beach, but it was handy to have a safe to store our valuables while we waited for the rude previous guests to vacate and the room to be prepared. The staff knowledge of English is a plus but I speak Indonesian so this was not a huge need for me. The little extras provided by the Palace were such a welcome surprise. These included a nice private pool area, service of free non-alcoholic beverages during the day while at the pool and while out on the grassed area close to the beach, a lovely free afternoon tea service as well as a free cocktail hour with canapés. The room we had was clean, comfortable and we enjoyed a fabulous view of the ocean, garden and pool area. It is also worth noting that the breakfast was of a good variety of food and all we ate was delicious. While Nusa Dua is beautiful and the ocean conditiond there are almost always excellent, we are not huge fans of the actual area of Nusa Dua not because of any other reason than we feel it is very pricy compared to other areas in Bali. In saying this, we were pleasantly surprised at the value for money the Ayodya offered and the menu pricing while not Bali prices was certainly reasonable enough. We would stay at the Ayodya Palace again without a second thought.
Quiet location,friendly staff,awesome beach front”
the hotel was greatly located in a very secure area. it is a nice option for those looking for a resort to rest as it is very big with different options within the hotel boundaries. the hotel has natural settings: lagoons with waterfall system(great to keep the mosquitos away from laying eggs), lots of trees. apparently the hotel itself has about 16 years of providing services, but about 6 years ago it became ayodya resort from hilton hotel.( or so as we heard) trips to different parts of bali are accessible with a phone call to tourist agencies, car rentals, hotel services(more expensive than the local service). the room was spacious, clean and organized bathroom, all rooms had balconies(great to stay outside and have drink or two), the bed was big slightly to soft for us but overall ok. the hotel had 3 pools; 1 big,1 small for kids only and the other smaller than the big one which was conveniently located right behind the beach front. the beach has nice clear light blue water with soft sandy beaches, low tight was a bit difficult to swim. we walked the whole nusa dua beach front and by far the ayodya had the best locatio(water and sand combined)...unless u can affort the st. regis. breakfast buffet was great!for dinner, one of the nights we had traditional balinese and indonesian food + a kecak dance show which turned out to be a great combination.
Its a definite Value-for-Money Hotel. Loved it!”
This would be my 5 hotel in Nusa Dua. After reviewing all the hotels in Nusa Dua, we decided to try out Ayodya because of the value of money. At USD 130 it was one of the lowest priced 4.5 star hotel. And looking at the reviews and pictures, it seemed like a good deal. And I am really happy to say it was. It had nearly everything which Hyatt, Westin and Melia had at half the price. The room was nice and comfortable, the breakfast spread was adequate, the beach front was exceptional nice and the staff were friendly. The restaurants within the hotel were not as great at the other hotels mentioned but since we mainly ate out, it was not an issue. We did try the Octopus Italian restaurant and found the food to be just average. The swimming pool area was small for a hotel sized as this. And the hotel was huge. A staff informed that it’s only second to Nusa Dua Beach Resort in this area with an estimated 500 over rooms. Anyway, the pool location would have been better if it was just next to the beach instead of having their Balinese Theatre with lush water and greenery in between the beach and pool. But the best part about this hotel has to be its water and nature elements. Fantastic! I would estimate that 25% of the hotel is used to create this serene nature feel. We had only one disappointment which was their dinner with traditional performances. Usually the dinner comes buffet style but here they informed it would only be buffet if it’s more than 50 people. If not, it would be a set menu which would have been fine if they had given us a choice in the main course. Since my wife does not eat pork or beef, it was disheartening to see they were only serving these. And they served both as part of the set menu. At USD35, we would expect to eat what we liked. Overall great hotel and would definitely return or recommend to anyone.
great stay, excellent services, friendly and helpful staff, clean, and cozy stay. ”
We were doing resort hoping in Nusa Dua.. Of all our experiences in Nusa Dua Resort ( We visit westin and ritz carlton). Ayodya services was the most excellent. I arrived June 26th on my birthday.. Tari, the officer in charge.. offered us room upgrade (double class upgrade) to suite room.with private pool in Rama Shinta and free birthday cake. Tari the officer in charge was very attentive and kind. I also love the beach area. The area.was so cozy with lot of bin bed and reclining chair. Unlike some resort in Nusa Dua, where the guest must pay for sitting on the beach ( westin) the beach was fantastic although the wave a bit big. The food was great. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. the room was clean and the bed is very soft. The garden and landscaping was fantastic. They have big pond in the middle where the swan swim and a big balinese theatre. I feel well rested and enjoy our stay. I really Love Ayodya. I definitely will go back to this place. Very well recomended.
Lovely clean hotel with nice facilities”
i stayed at this hotel because i had to attend the conference at the nearby westin, nusa dua. the price gap was remarkably large between the two 5-star resorts, and for me, it was a good value-for-money deal. ayodya used to be called hilton, and it is a large property with over 500 rooms. facilities are complete, with enough swimming pools, and the buffet breakfast was good. importantly noteworthy is the spacious and clean hotel room as well as the common areas. this resort is good for family as well as business traveler and other types of vacationers seeking nice beach access. the location is pretty straightforward as the stretch of beach at the back of the resort gives laidback mood, good for walking around, picture-taking, or simply indulging in shopping and dining at various available local venues like bebek bengil (the dirty duck diner). if not, laze around by the beach would be equally relaxing. i would consider returning at this place.
7 night honeymoon”
Enjoyed it immensely. After 7 days of travel in Cambodia and Vietnam, arriving at the Ayodya Resort was an oasis of calm and we were able to relax for 7 days and nights. We stayed in the Palace. The room was perfect - the balcony, the bed, the view. We had easy access to the pools and the beach. We used the gym, relaxed on the comfy sun loungers, had breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails in the Ayodya Palace. We ran around the Nusa Dua beach path before sunrise, we swam in the sea, we got massages, we walked around the other resorts and to the Bali Collection and just had the best time ever with no stress and no hassle from traffic or people trying to sell you things. The staff were so nice and obliging. Could not fault the place.
The Perfect Place to Stay in Bali”
Ayodya just went beyond our expectations. We definitely had a wonderful experience in Bali and a big part of that was our stay in Ayodya. We had to cancel our tour just to enjoy and relax in the resort. The amenities were well maintained. The attention to detail of the staff especially when we were dining in was outstanding! The food was fantastic as well! The beach was well maintained, very nice! The lagoon and the animals around added to a distinct experience. The resort has a very Balinese architectural style which really sets out above the rest. The open air reception/foyer is spectacular! The hotel is very picturesque! What you see in the photos are almost exactly the same when you see the resort in person. One thing a bit disappointing though was the performance of the male chanters during the Kecak Dance. They were not that serious during the performance compared to the Kecak dance at Uluwatu. But the dining experience during that show was excellent! We loved the food and the service of the staff! Overall, we highly recommend Ayodya! Definitely we will be coming to Ayodya when we visit Bali next time.
A splendid palace”
I stayed at Ayodya Resort with my family and we had an excellent stay. We stayed for four nights and had a great time with amazing food, serene surroundings and nice trips. Everything at the hotel premises are of excellent standard including the beach. While the sea can get a bit tough for children, the pools close to the beach is an excellent alternative. The only negative with our stay was that the cost on the services within hotel premises was relatively high when compared to other alternatives. Then again, if you stay at a 5 star luxury resort you cannot really expect anything less. Ayodya gives value for money and is located within the clean and comfortable tourist-village of Nusa Dua. Avoid if you want to explore local culture, enjoy if you want a 5-star luxury treatment.
Our 7 days at the Ayodya Resort was a piece of heaven. We stayed at the Palace Wing with an Ocean View room on the 5th (top) floor. The balcony was huge with its own counties so if you wanted to relax in the privacy of your balcony you could while watching swaying palm tress and the picture perfect ocean waves breaking on the pristine white sand beaches. The service in the Palace wing was incredible, the food- which if you are not a big eater becomes like an all inclusive with Breakfast included but with also afternoon teas (3:00pm to 4:30pm) and then cocktail time (6:00 to 8"00pm). I am not a drinker but if you enjoy champaign and cocktails there is an unlimited supply in the evening and you can even be served champaign at breakfast if you desire. All the food is fresh and prepared a lot of the time by chefs as you wait. If you are someone who likes to take long walk on the beach and on safe, clean walkways the Ayodya Resort and Nusa Duo for that matter is the place for you. Bali Collections, a great outdoor shopping center that collects the best art and fashions from around Indonesia is a 5 minute walk from the front entrance.
The Nusa Dua area is a very nice location and the entrance and hotel lobby is spectacular. As you step out of the car the gamelan is played for you. Check in no problem and the rooms are very nice. We stayed in the Ocean view grande room on the 4th floor. The breakfast are below standard for a 5 star hotel, and for only a little extra effort the whole standard could be lifted easily. We found the staff friendly everywhere throughout the hotel. Checkout again was no problem. The Bali Collection Centre nearby is served by a free shuttle bus and is an excellent venue for shopping and restaurants, with pricing quite good too. The shuttle is only hourly, but mostly everywhere is within a short walk. We would recommend the Ayodya to anyone wanting a peaceful stay, far removed from the hustle and bustle of Kuta..if seclusion is what you want.
Excellent location right on the Nusa Dua Beach...”
We visited Bali thro' Make My Trip' and stayed at Sun Boutique Hotel in Kuta City. After staying at Sun Boutique for 3 days, we decided to shift to a beach hotel / resort. We were looking out for a quite and clean beach and had 2 options i.e. Nusa Dua and Sanoor. We searched for beach resorts on Sanoor beach but did not get many options. Finally, we decided to visit the Nusa Dua beach, there were two options Nusa Dua Beach Resort and Ayodya Resort. We chose Ayodya and there was absolutely no regret. Ayodya has a huge property on the Nusa Dua beach. They have couple of pools, lagoon, beachside seating and a very clean private beach area with white sand. Only let down was the break fast, there were absolutely no vegetarian options available. I would definitely recommend this property for families who would like to enjoy a quite stay on the beach.
Great resort for a romantic experience of Bali”
this was my first trip to bali and ayodya resort has made it a pleasant and memorable experience. the overall decor and amenities of the resort offers great comfort and enjoyment. ease of access to the beach is a great plus and the ocean view room offers good view of the sunrise. the staff were friendly and helpful. also prefer the nusa dua area compared to jimbaran and other parts of bali.
Fantastic resort with wonderful staff”
It was our second experience in 12 months time with Ayodya and it was still nice and interesting for us. I have traveled to many different places in the world for work and holiday and i can tell you that staying in Ayodya at Nusa Dua is one of my best holiday experiences ever. Nice and delicious breakfasts, variety of food cuisines, nice beach and swimming pools, activities, kids club, restaurants and lovely staff are just the highlights of Ayodya. We would love to go back there and have another fantastic holiday in one of the best places in Bali.
Beautiful Balinese Hotel”
We went to Bali for a 5 night stay. Ayodya although a large hotel was beautiful, spacious and luxurious. The people are very friendly, although their English isnt great, enough to get by though. We were upgraded to grande room which was lovely. There are not many brochures for things to do so make sure you do your research before you arrive. Bali collection shops are a short stroll with many restaurants and nice shops - although expensive. Just out of Nusa Dua hotel complex there are markets selling fake sunnies - dont pay more than 25,000R, bintang t-shirt etc.(10min walk from hotel). Kids loved it. Very sad to leave and would defiantely go back.
Fantastic place to stay in Nusa Dua”
we decided to spend couple of nights at ayodya resort at nusa dua becouse resort is located directly at the beach. last time we stayed at neighbouring novotel nusa dua and in my opinion ayodya was a better choice. very nice rooms, clean bathrooms, beautiful gardens, clean white beach. resort staff was very helpful for us anytime. strongly recommend this place!
big property. clean private beach. nice buffet. slow service”
A nice 'big' property on nusa dua beach beside bali national golf club. A mammoth property(we had to walk 5-10 min from main gate to reach our room) with many in house restaurants with average food options. In amenities large in house pool and an infinity pool and then the option of open sea. A Beach club that host event almost every weekend and nice grill and snack options. Ayodya must be on your list if you want to relax away from hustle and bustle of kuta. Taxies like ola and grab are easily available. Blue bird taxies are also common. A small shopping area Bali Collection nearby give you enough eating and shopping option. Ayodya share its boundaries with some of the most renowned international chains like marriott, novotel etc. But, the Baliness of Ayodya resort keep you interested in this rather budget option. We as a couple found their service slow and customer interaction formal (quite uncommon in bali). Though, the highlight was their elaborate breakfast with more than 50 options to choose from. All in all a nice property to unwind but if you are looking for a party destination it will not be for you. LAST THING, water sports are a must try but I would suggest a local owner to get the best deal.
Grand hotel in peaceful place”
Our very first time in Bali. We traveled from Denparsa airport and heading to the hotel Ayodya Resort. Poor looking countryside along the way. Suddenly the view has changed completely and we arrived in Nusa Duwa Resort. A fantastic garden with peaceful and graceful. Every hotel in Nusa Duwa has its unique characteristics. Grand Ayodya Resort is like a mansion. Spacious place for you to walk and for children to run and play.
A huge hotel”
I enjoyed our time at Ayodya Resort. They gave me a complimentary birthday mini cake which came as a surprise for me. The hotel is so big, a bit tired in term of furniture and interior, a very traditional interior which clearly reminds you that you are in Bali a moment you stepped into the hotel. However, since it is so huge, then we have to walk a bit far either from lobby to the room or from room to the beach. My room was located in the middle so I had to walk around 10 mins from lobby and if I went to the beach then I had to walk around 10 -15 mins too. I came with my mom who is old enough to walk far so it was a bit inconvenient for her. The other cons is the breakfast, for Indonesian like us, the food did not taste good at all, those were plain so we skipped 2 breakfasts during 4 nights stay in Ayodya. In term of the location, I always love and stay in Nusa Dua area, so no complain at all.
Beautiful gardens and beach”
it was my second trip to bali for new years eve and i found nusa dua as a little slice of haven comparing with the rest of the island. it is an enclave of peace and cleanliness with luxuriant vegetation perfectly maintained. it is true that the small distance to kuta - only 15 km. can means in some periods of the day arround one hour driving but it worth to stay here and to go to kuta and seminiak only in the evening for night life when the trafic is ok. although we booked ayodya in the last moment as the only available choice i was impressed by the hotel ground and by the pure balinesse style of this resort. the lagoon , the gardens and the beach are all you can dream and expect from a holiday resort . also the hotel buildings have a wonderful style with open space in the middle of the halls and with small lagoons and a lot of vegetation. spoken by the rooms the enthusiasm is not so big because the rooms are a little bit dated and the bathroom is really old , especially the bathtube is terrible. but i think is a point which do not have to ruin your holiday and can be neglected , it is enought to go to the balcony and look at the lagoon, pool or gardens and forget about the small problems inside. the beach is also perfect and it is really pitty to stay to the pool . the staff is ok maybe not so courtesy as you expect and as i met last time to bali when i was accomodated in a private villa. the prices in the hotel are very big not really for the food but especially for drinks and cofee and alchoolic drinks are a lot overpriced . also internet acces have a very high charge. because the accomodation is based on breakfast only , for lunch you can find a quite good offer to the beach or pool bar and for dinner is much better to go to bali collection - it is only 10 minutes walk from the hotel and you can find here a large variety of restaurants and bars as well a nice shopping and very good and cheap spa.
Highly recommended. Had a terrific stay. ”
We had an 8 day holiday in Bali and decided on Nusa Dua for the first 4 days for some quiet time. The Ayodya was perfect. The room was good but had a great view - probably the best in the resort. Staff were fantastic. They were friendly, attentive and their language skills were very good. Could not fault them at all. The gardens and pools were top class. Expansive, clean, tidy and well laid out. Lots of lounges around the pools and down to the beach, which was great for swimming. There is a paved promenade, so you can walk for some distance beside the beach. Great variety of restaurants and food and the prices were pretty goo too. Would we stay there again? Absolutely!
