If you find the idea of escaping to a private island resort without being too far from the modern world appealing, this is the place for you. Located on the backwaters of Alleppey and Kollam, this mini-resort occupies the entire tiny island of Thrikunnapuzha and is surrounded by lush greenery, swaying palm trees, and a network of small canals. All of the self-contained cottages face the canal network, and an abundance of oversized hammocks allows visitors to soak up the relaxing ambiance. Tours by boat are readily available to take guests to nearby attractions such as a number of pilgrim centers, Krishnapuram Palace, Chettikulangara Bhagawathy Temple, or a number of small neighboring islands. A large Ayurveda center pampers to the needs of weary travelers with a range of traditional massages and therapeutic treatments. Simply put, Ayurrathna Coir Village Lake Resort is absolute bliss.

Bad. Difficult to get there ,rooms was not cool , blankets get a itch , food did not have a variety at all we arrived at 5pm and left at 9pm so it was a waste of money we would left back to Cochin.
Peaceful place. ”
Good place for peace, but 40kms away from Allepy(if your going boating) Kitchen needs your order 3,4 hrs in advance. So better forecast your appetite. Rooms & surroundings are very clean.
Coir village is not almost 40 km from Allepey . ”
Stay was good. However not worth it to stay that far From Allepey
Comfortable and peaceful”
We had a very relaxing stay at the Coir Village with opportunities to go out by boat or ramble around the local area on our own, seeing for ourselves how the local people live and earn their living.Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food we had was good, especially the lunchtime talis served on a banana leaf (but what a pity they were mostly manufactured banana leaves and not the real thing!) however there was not much choice as few of the meals on the menu existed. The restaurant staff were very pleasant but the other staff did not show the same desire to please. Coir Village has a beautiful setting but there is a need for little things to make improvements. Somewhere communal to sit, have a drink and enjoy the view, would be nice - perhaps on the island - tables, chairs, umbrellas, sunbeds and perhaps some hammocks. What a pity the shop has closed - surely some gainful use could be made of it. How about having a carum board on show and encouraging people to play - or perhaps mark out a badminton pitch..It seems like the resort relies on its honeymoon couples and daily trade from the passing ferry boats, rather than encouraging people to want to stay in this gorgeous little spot.
This is very far from everything else and will cost you plenty to get to the boat jetty.
Hotel Ok, but poor services”
we were 3 adults stayed here for one night. hotel location is good but the service were very poor. there were no amenities provided inside our room (no towels, no soap, etc..) we had to call for everything. second thing is unfriendly staffs, specially the manager. whenever we call him, he always rush to bang the phone without giving any proper answer. its far from the city (alappuzha) about 40 km away from alappuzha. there is no shops, or restaurant available near to the hotel. hotel menu really expensive.
A great resort with a fantastic location”
This resort is what you would call an ideal backwater location. The Rooms are good/average. Two row of houses are facing either side on a piece of land. Try to choose rooms before hand if possible with the desk. They may even cook you customized food according to the season. My stay was made comfortable by the staff and I'm looking forward to go back.
Surrounded by Backwaters”
Insite iterior of natie village surrounded by backwaters. Amazingly beautiful and blissful peace. Hotel has it own steamer which u can hire independently followed small and big wooden boats
Wonderful place for rest”
Clean and nice cottages. Situated on the river bank. Good place for resting, going boating and fishing. Restaurant has a good menu with lots of tasty dishes and very nice and friendly staff. We really enjoyed the place.
Great location and good rooms”
It is place can be visited again and again. The hotel is in very natural and lovely place. The ambiance is very good.
Great location but avoid going during festivals”
I had a great time but reduce my stay because there was Onam festival and most of the staff were off. So I couldnt enjoy the main facilities. The manager tried to help and arrange a small boat tour so that I was not too frustrated. The location is amazing and very peacefull.
far, far away from Alleppey”
we were utterly disappointed because > the 'road' to the hotel is basically a forest track, sometimes it's even closed, then you have to go there by boat - terrible enough - but there's more, the boat doesn't go at night time > the staff doesn't speak (or understand!!!) English > in general, the rooms are not worth the price, we had hotels in India that cost about a forth and had the same comfort > the breakfast was very weak! three Indian dishes, scrambled eggs and jam toast, that's it > they asked for tip when we left - unacceptable
Schöne Anlage in sehr ländlicher Umgebung”
Einzigartige Lage, freundliches Personal”
