Pros: cheap and spacious Cons: mattress spring is broken. Very far away from everything. No hot water.
Very comfy and nice environment. Will stay again.
Feel like a rustic village home even though it is a few metres from the main road. No fridge. No kettle. Towels rough. Can't find food or convenient store nearby. Water have oily stain-need bottled water for drinking. A bit run-down due to lack of maintenance. If you over look all these inconveniences, this place is good value for sleeping.
Good price/value ratio.”
This was a great place to stay for a couple. It was possible to rent bikes which was very great because Ayutthaya sightseeing by bike is a good idea. Also there was no problem with our late check-in. The room was clean and the bathroom was climatic. I recommend this place.
The worst hostel in my life”
I asked for early check-in and they accept. But when I arrived at the hostel there was no one. So I wait staff 4 hours in the garden with mosquitos. At 8 o’clock cleaning staff came and said check-in time is 12:00. I told her I request early check-in but her english was poor. I was able to check in after many ups and downs... Every one should know that there won't be any staff here to help you. And bed was so dirty(with dead flys), toilet was awful. Even though you can’t rent bicycle. You have to move with your own leg if you want to go city town. It was the worst hostel in my life!
booked last minute pleasantly suppressed”
we booked this last minute but was pleasantly surprised by this hostel from the outside looks a bit rough but when go inside very nice rooms are old Thai style very nice good value for money if you want somewhere cheap just for a night would recommend this place
The rool are very clean, spacious and with nice decoration taste ! It's quiet and the staff is helpfull and really nice! It's just 5km from the main attraction in the center so it's perfect if you have a motorbike.
Escape in Time”
I reside in Bangkok and wanted to "get away" from the city rush, for a while. I selected Ayuthaya as my target (60-minute minibus ride for $2.00) and ended up in a nice hostel circa Thailand at turn of the century. Time machine. Just what I wanted. There was a nice (cheap, green curry chicken and stir-fried vegetables for $3.00) restaurant on the river (a 5-minute walk). Watching the barges float by. My 24-hour escape to Ayuthaya was $50.00
This was a really nice place highlighted by friendly staff who gave lots of info and answered any question. + Room and garden area great, local styling. Little reception/chill out room with free self service tea, coffee, biscuits. - slightly too far out for walking - not a problem if you rent bicyles or tuk tuks
Cheap and Relaxing”
Very quiet hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. Beds were not too comfortable; however, did not expect much given the price we paid. Would recommend insect repellent and mosquito net when staying here. Rooms were also clean.
Lovely hotel with Thai decor”
stayed for one night. hostel is very nice an the design is very unique and thai. one of the nicest hostel / hotel i stayed in thailand. manager was very helpful and nice. hotel is a little bit away from city centre however the hostel has bikes for rent so one can easily bike to the local street stalls. hostel is very clean although shower was cold water. good internet and wifi speeds. i would stay there again.
Ancient Ayutthaya City Style Hotel, pleasant place”
I had a nice stay, the lady who's in charge is very nice. The hotel is not far from the city center, in fact the city is quite small in size. Easy to go around the town. The decoration is very unique, better than staying in the modern hotel if you wanna see more of the cultural and the ancient architectural things.
Great place to stay, close proximity to temples and about 10 Min drive out of town and the main mall”
Ok for overnight stay”
Pros - it’s clean and rooms are imaginative Cons : out of town, no restaurants nearby and noisy traffic and thin walls
Worth your money”
We've got a standard room with outdoor bathroom. I really love how they decorate room with Thai traditional style but the bathroom is a bit a scare of people eyes. I heard a noise on top of the roof which I can say it is a 'rat' but nothing bother us til morning. Anyway, there is nothing perfect. The room price is so cheap for individual room. We recommend you!
This is my 2nd home!”
I revisited here for the 3rd time already! I admire the style of the old past decoration. The onwer n staff r so supernive and friendly. I wear long big pants to ride the bike, P'Ying helped me to tie up the pants to be able to ride easily. My soul is with here. I really falls in love with various rooms in different style. Everytime i ll stay here !
Lovely rooms, Thai style decor with all the comfort you need.”
No restaurant but coffee and tea available, a night market and 7/11 convenience store are 500 metres away. The Guesthouse has some free bicycles to use for the shopping run, for sightseeing it is better to hire a tuktuk for the day, you'll do enough walking in the temples as the old town of Ayutthaya is quite large. I'd stay at Bouchic Hostel again, the little garden and the nice, large wooden rooms at a reasonable price make the stay very enjoyable.
Basic expected more. ”
Rooms are traditionally designed and are very cool. Expected a better bathroom - didnt seem too clean. Also lots of mosquitos in the room. Walls are really thin, so you can hear everythinng your neighbours say. Also the reception bell rings and EVERYONE can hear it - because there is no-one at the reception permanently - and it goes off at anytime. Went off a few times, during the early hous off the morning. They also offer a free bike to rent, all you need to do is to pay 50baht deposit for a flat tyre. My hisband rented one and returned the bicycle in the same condition, no flat tyre. At check out, they refused to pay his deposit back, saying the tyre was flat... Yes we didnt fight about it and just left, but its the principal thereof.
Authentic ayuttaya experience”
The most stunning boutique hotel i ever stayed! 1. Super decoration! I love the antique items furnished in my room "Benjarong" when I feel I turned back to the past of ayuttaya period. 2. The staff named Ying was also very kind, gentle and friendly to advise my journey. She is like our sister;) 3. The hotel is also near Wat Chaiwatanaram and other locations I plan so I think its very good. I give million likes for my most memorable stay at here! I ll come back again ;)
We stayed in this hotel for 9nights, the location is far away from the down town, hotel offer free bike, go to the night market by bike for 30mins. We had a small accident which my friend he broke his leg cant walk. And the staff they are so caring and tried their best to take good care of us. They offered free water and changed the towel every day. We really like the decoration of hotel, the room looks so nice, but the mosquitoes bother us alot. We can hear everything from the other room next to us. 15mins walk to 7-11, and restaurants. There are not that much options for food. We really had good momeries, hope will come back again.
