Great Hostel!”
I was in Hanoi for two nights and found my stay at the Hanoi Rendevous Hostel to be really comfortable and relaxing in a busy, chaotic city. You get a towel when you check in and coupons for breakfast. The staff was great. They helped me book a trip to Halong Bay and offered to keep my luggage for me while I was away. They also helped me book a train ticket to Hue. I stayed in the large, mixed dorm room, where we each had our own cube. It was really cute and clean and private. After some previous hostels that I stayed at where I did not feel comfortable sleeping in their beds because they were so dirty, I finally felt I could sleep easy here. It was also fairly quiet because everyone mainly stayed sequestered to their own cube, which had a curtain. The only issue I had was that the the bathrooms were clean, but whenever I took a shower I could smell mold. Also, they never turned on the a/c and only had fans on. The nights were cool enough that the a/c wasn't really needed, but the first night was a bit humid and the a/c would've made it more comfortable. Overall though I would stay there again if in Hanoi and recommend it to others!

Nice one to try”
This is the first time I stayed in a hostel in Vietnam. And that didn't let me down. Nice room, nice staff and good service. Located in Old Quarter, this hostel can take you every corner on foot. There was a thing that I felt annoyed as staff came into room to change bed cover at noon. They spoke so loud, and didn't care my presence. It would be much better if they told me what they were gonna do and volume down their voice.

Top class hostel - delivers in every way”
I had an excellent four night stay at the hostel. The staff were extremely accommodating, making calls to ensure my train ticket arrived at the hostel and recommending restaurants. They were happy to let me leave my bag in a locker after check-out, while I left Hanoi for two days. The "private" bunks are recommended. Building is clean and modern, good bathrooms, standard but decent breakfast. Excellent location.

Goodie Good Place”
I am not working here in Vietnam but during my first month of searching this hostel became my home. It was struggle during that time but the people who work here became my family. They were really supportive when my friend already landed a job and I stayed alone in their hostel. Whenever I go to Hanoi ( since I am an hour away from the city) I booked here because I want to see them again.

For what I paid? This was Agoda's cheapest on its listing but I got a comfortable bed, clean hotel, quiet, backpacker-friendly, reliable wifi, helpful staff and great breakfast! It's also in the heart of the Old Quarter. Can't complain. Highly recommended !!!

stayed in private room at the top floor room was clean and and had a small balcony with a view of old quarter street noise was present at all hours of night and hard to ignore if trying to sleep in there's a shared bathroom breakfast is provided for US $1 but very average (many toast and egg choices) you can use this place to book tours which for us were decent when we booked a 2 day trip to Halong Bay for 3.5 million with golden star

Great breakfast, nice staff but small rooms and no air conditioned”
we are a group of 3 women. walking from the bus stop to the hostel takes 20 minutes.the streets is so crowded and there is almost no one we could ask about directions. after arrive the staffs is so friendly and help us. the bed is clean and confortable. but the room is too small for 16 people with no air conditioner. the best to stay in this hostel is breakfast. we could choose the menu they gave us and the cook it right away. ŕeally a great breakfadt to start a day.

Pick the good dorm”
I have mixed feelings about that place : I went there twice in March 2015 and went to two different dorms: - the first time, I got the female only dorm on the fourth floor. It was quiet as it was almost completely empty, with very good A/C, I got a fluffy towel when I checked in. They had put a product to make the room smell good, so it was all good for the first two nights. The third night though, the mold whose smell was covered by the perfume won the fight and it got hard to breathe in there. They really need to do something about that, get rid of the mold, not just cover the smell. - the second time, I went with the cheaper option : the dorm on the second floor, with little individual cubicles. It would have been great if it weren't for the A/C. Or more exactly, the absence of A/C. It was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to sleep in there. I was on the top row and there was absolutely no air at all : the A/C wasn't working properly, was cut off most of the time, and the fans do NOT reach the top row. It was a furnace. So they really need to have the A/C on all day long, and/or better fans that reach all the cubicles. Other than that, the hostel had plenty of good sides : lovely staff, very good breakfast (but weakest coffee in all of Vietnam), nice communal room, decent wifi, good location, showers were hot and had good water pressure. The people who slept in the dorm on the 3rd floor told me it was all right, so that seems to be the winner. And maybe they've gotten rid of those problems since I've been there over a month ago.

Good location”
We had a double room on the 5th floor. Alright for the amount of money without breakfast. Central location everything around in walking distance in the Old Quarter. AC is not really working we had to leave the balcon door open during the night despite the noisy street. Still slept alright.

In old town, near to attraction. Staffs are extremely commendable for their good service and always with cheerful smile especially the ladies. Loved the common room, wide, cheerful,comfortable chillout place with big tv and sofas. The dorm room are comfortable, stayed 3 times and each time assigned to different floors but all are as confortable as they could be. The mixed dorm hv individual capsule with curtains. Allroom have own big safety box with lock. Highly recommended.

Budget hostel - good customer service”
There was an initial mixed-up over the "room type" made through the Agoda website, however the hostel manager was able to rectify the mistake. The customer service provided by him was worthy of mention. Mr Ninh Nguyen kindly provided me a complimentary ride to the airport shuttle stop for my transfer (after I have checked out of the hostel). There is only one female dormitory (16 beds) in this hostel which is on the top floor (Level 4), so be prepared to climb up the stairs if you only want to sleep in this category.

I stayed for more than a week here. Breakfast was not included, only black coffee and tea, no milk. There is a nice living room but the couches and mattress are very old, used and have not been washed for a longer time. The kitchen is not open for guests but mentioned in the hostels description. The environment is too loud and too crowded and the isolation of the dorms is bad. I discovered fungi and spores on the ceilings of my top bed and those were even worse above the bed of a friend. The hostel does not maintain the dormitory room. There is only the cleaning of the bathrooms and the floors are sweept a bit. The sheets and towels in the dorms are also old and very used, sometimes with holes. When there were bed bugs in a dorm, again the hostel did nothing about it. The staff is friendly but tries to sell you their tours most of the time. So they propose you the more expensive option to take a taxi to the airport instead of mentioning the public bus no. #17 that is a lot cheaper.

the staff Anna, Nam and the lady at the reception gave me a lot of great support on the tour, transportation and local information. though the shower room and toilet is a little bit smelly but overall it is a nice place to stay with fair price.
