Wish we had a longer stay!”
We stayed overnight for a wedding. Therefore didn't get to use ALL the provided facilities. therefore 4 star! Heidi kindly accommodated us with an earlier check in - needed after a long drive! What a beautiful location! Azaltie was like a Tardis; - appeared tiny on the outside, on first view! - packed with facilities for a total getaway. Who needs Wi-Fi or tv when you can; Observe Wombats up close on the track to Azaltie at night. Have a late night conversation on the deck under a million stars. Wake up overlooking kangaroos in a valley mist around the dam. Loved the conservation focus, comfy bed( for both me at 5ft & my partner at over 6ft), personally written welcome & comprehensive information. Would have liked to use the fire pit, BBQ, and , books/games provided for a rainy day! Only negative: Agoda did not provide me with Heidi's correct mobile or the info re availability of pre purchasing breakfast/provisions. Enjoyed our tiny stay at the tiny house!

Tiny House Experience”
My husband and I stayed in Azaltie over a weekend for our babymoon. It is a beautifully decorated tiny house set in amongst the bush on a small hobby farm in Kangaroo Valley. It was a short 2 minute drive to Hampden bridge and the river (you can easily walk it) and just another couple of minutes into Kangaroo Valley village with its cute shops, cafes and pub. I was very pleasantly surprised at how practical the house was, with fully equipped kitchen, organic toiletries and even a sofa bed! We stayed in August and the house has a reverse cycle air-con with heating which was great. The bed was very comfortable with lots of bedding to keep us cosy. We made a fire both nights and our host Heidi was made sure that we had plenty of fire wood and fire lighters to keep us going. The first night we used the BBQ and the second night we cooked a full meal inside using the cooker. I was amazed at how versatile the kitchen was and it was actually more convenient to work with than another B&B we stayed in afterwards. The whole house has been very well thought out to make the most out of every available space and considering the environment. I only wish I had remembered to pack my slippers because the floor is very cold and doesn’t seem to warm up. We were spoiled with kangaroo sightings every night and the chance to say hello to the very friendly sheep. The road in the distance is a little bit noisy, but this was made right by the sound of birds and frogs croaking in the pond. Overall, it was a very relaxing stay and my only criticism is that breakfast was not provided. For the price, it would have been a nice roach to include some eggs and maybe local milk or butter so we could cook our own breakfast.
