Good ”
Good budget stay. Is close to lot of restaurants, motorbike shops, local grocery stores. Wifi was strong enough, it's quite and safe. The room is simple but for the money is a good value

Great resort for a small price”
Baan Aunrak is great resort with peaceful small houses located near the White Sand beach. Manager on the reception is super kind woman, who will try to help you in any situation. One time per day you will be offered two bottles of water on one house (room) that are included in the price. You also can get snacks and coffee near reception at any time. The only downside of this resort that i can think of is that it is located quite far from island's waterfalls and jungle tracking routes, so if you are planning on going sightseeing around the island you can rent a motorbike on the reception or in the city. I enjoyed my stay in this resort and would like to recommend it to anyone looking for quite and peaceful place to stay during their vacation on Koh Chang.

Nothing luxory, is a family place and excellent for rest, far from white sand center, but no problem take a taxi to move. anywhere. the breakfast delicious, like at home. totally recommended!

Loved it!”
Although we arrived very early for check-in, the staff we very helpful and allowed us to leave our bags in a vacant room until ours were ready. We'd only booked for one night and my friends wanted to stay on Koh Chang longer, Ban Aunrak was fully booked but they helped my friends secure other accommodation nearby. The rooms were spacious and airy with fridge and TV and - as it's mentioned in a previous review - the comfiest beds in Thailand! It's a quiet resort yet just off the main road with all the restaurants etc and taxis running continually in both directions. There's no food/breakfast but hot water and, cups, coffee and crockery are available for you to do your own. I'd definitely stay there again

Good place for the value”
We enjoyed our stay at Baan Aunrak, there are a lot of places closer to the beach but there is also a LOT of construction going on at the beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed being at White Sands Beach. There are other beaches that have younger, hipper people but this beach has the widest sand and the calmest waters. There are tons of new luxury hotels going up along the island beaches so unless you want to spend your time listening to the sound of construction I would recommend a place a bit removed. They did not speak much English but they still managed to help us with directions and booking transportation. Nice, clean, basic accommodations for those who are more interested in getting out and exploring than staying in.

lovely stay will come back again 100 percent right next to white sand beach 5 min walk and lots of places to eat one right across the road cheap and yummy and cheap laundry across the rd too near the restaurant great night market food and stuff for sale down on the beach road from 5 6 pm every day and monkeys on the beach road also a great swim with elephants down the road by emerald cove at the elephant trekking place go trekking then jump in the river with the elephant 900baht just great

Great Stay”
We loved our stay here. The place was clean and tidy, the staff were lovely and the breakfast was great! The owner has a gorgeous dog which we also fell in love with. The location was good for us as it was only about 5-10 minute walk down into White Sands Beach and lots of restaurants, bars and shops. There are also a few great food options around if you can’t be bothered to walk. We would definitely stay here again!

Nice place, clean, a little outside the main area ”
this place is ok. i have been many times to koh chang. i like "lonely beach" and "white sand beach". the room was clean, wifi is slow. good service, good bed. big parking. it is just a little far (1 km?) from the beach if you want to walk. but beside that, we were satisfied.

Clean, quiet and friendly.”
A good location making it easy to walk to white sand beach and it's bars and restaurants. The rooms are basic, budget bungalows however they are clean, quiet with a good mattress, air-conditioning and are mosquito proof. The staff are friendly and obviously happy in their job which makes a huge difference. If you're not looking for a palace and are either on a budget or extended stay (as myself) I'd highly recommend.

Great little rooms, but a bit of a walk”
The first thing I will say is that, overall, this is a great bungalow hotel. The only major draw back, as others have mentioned, is that it is a 10 to 15 min walk to the beach. White Sands beach that is. It's on the far south end of that area. It's not a bad walk. There are shops, bars, and restaurants. The only other draw back depending on your point of view it that it is very quiet. There is very little in the way of night life that far south on White Sands. Be prepared to take taxis or rent a motorbike if you aren't interested in walking a lot.

Return to lovely place”
Second trip to Koh Chang and return to this garden with bungalows. A lot of changes we’ve found... they provides tasty breakfast now, staff is very friendly and really wanted to fulfill your needs. We’ve seen a working fountain with a lot of fish inside. At the other hand the room has to be maintained better way. Towels and lining needs replacement. I lot of ants in the room despite using sprays.

A nice new room but a bit far from town”
we stayed for one night at baan aunrak and my first impression is that it was difficult to find! we had a horrible time with the driver trying to find it - took us almost an hour to get there. i think this is a new hotel so it's definitely a good idea to have the phone number with you so that the driver can call the hotel. it's located at the top of the hill leaving whitesands and is set back off thge road with a sign that doesn't stand out much. when we arrived the room was nice and spacious but very humid. even with the air con on we needed to open the windows in order to breathe properly at first.after a while of the a/c the room was ok though. the bed was big and very comfortable, though there were a few stains on the sheet and blanket cover. the rooms themselves are individuals structures so there is no noise from any neighbours and the surroundings include a really pleasant garden and a beautiful mountain behind the hotel. the main problem is the location. it is about a 10 minute walk into town and a fairly steep walk home. also the staff are rarely in the reception which makes it difficult to check out/in. all in all the room itself is nice but if you want to be close to the beach at affordable prices, your best bet is lonely beach.

Incredible Staff !! ”
First of all I would like to thank the staff for being so wonderful. Everyone from the extremely thoughtful house cleaner to the front desk and grounds keepers deserve a 5 star rating. The location is fine if you either have transportation or you enjoy walking. They rent motorbikes here.The beach is a short walk (10 min?) and even shorter motorbike ride (2 min). Cheap and very wonderful local restaurants are just down or up the street.(2 min walk) The reason I continue to come back to Thailand year after year are simply to be around the wonderful Thai people. The staff here exemplify the Thai way. One day we had our clothes drying on a rack up on the roof. (there is an outdoor sink out back and stairs that lead to the roof where you can dry your clothes.) While we were out touring a rain storm hit the island. I had a feeling that someone would move our clothes and were extremely thankful that the cleaning lady moved the clothes inside. She was one of the nicest and most pleasant individual you will ever meet. Everyone there had a smile for us. The owner even though as you will see in much of Thailand really doesn't do anything he still offered me some of his pork ball meat on a stick thing. We ate at the same evening street stall food area where he hung out. Note on pork ball meat on stick: Tasty but not in a good way. The room price was very good and the location was adequate. Staff is wonderful! You won't be disappointed.
