Very clean and comfortable, pleasant experience”
Our stay was very positive. If you are looking for a good price and a hotel that is clean and well located you should go to the Baan Chart Hotel. The rooms are very clean and the bed is deliciously comfortable. The staff are young but are enthusiastic about helping you in any way. At arriving in Bangkok, we stayed here for a few nights before island hoping in the south. We liked it so much that we decided to come back on our way back from the islands. The rooftop pool is not olympic size, but it's a nice place to relax after a long day walking the streets of Bangkok. The decor is asian inspired which is just what we wanted. Not a cold simple room, but one with double doors and asian bathrobes. It's also in the middle of the backpackers area with many restaurants and boutiques for Thai souvenirs and clothing. At night the streets are loud with music however once you turn the corner into the Baan Chart, the noise goes away and you can sleep soundly. Only downsize was the slow internet. The wifi works most of the time but logs you out every so often so you have re-input the password etc. This was a bit annoying.

Nice hotel but neighborhood too touristy”
We spent one night at the Baan Chart Hotel. It's easy to find and close to Khao San Road, where it's full of tourists and prices are off the charts. The Hotel was very comfortable and room prices reasonable but the restaurant and bars are very expensive. If you just walk up Chakraponk street you'll find restaurants and shops (and even supermarkets) a lot cheaper. The pool was nice but sort of green that day. We bathed anyway ! I loved the hotel design. There's free coffee and water in the room. The staff was friendly (we hadn't booked a mini-van and they gave us tips to save money to go to the airport) and it's ok to leave your bags after you check out (they have a locker room).

Lovely hotel and service with nice decoration”
even though I have just stayed for two nights, Baan Chart has really inspired me by its excellent services. Located beside Khao San Road has made it easily accessible by just very little walking distance, and yet providing ambient and quiet surroundings, not like those hotels located in Khao San Road which you might probably can't get a good sleep as it's too noisy with the pubs and bars downstairs. Furthermore, the large hall infront of the hotel has its own restaurant, and equipped well with nice atmosphere as well as local live band. I passed through everytime when I get back to hotel and enjoyed the live band' music. Not hard rock but just those relax light music which is really nice when you are having a relaxing vacation. Worth it a try with the IndoChina style decoration room!

Great Location”
We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at the Baan Chart Hotel. The location can't be beat and the roof top pool was clean and so inviting after a long day in the Bangkok heat. My only, and very minor complaint is, there was no luggage ledge to place your suitcase on in the room. We will stay here again.

Flashpacker Accomodation very close to Khaosan Rd.”
The Baan Chart is one of the 'upper-class' accomodations near/in Khaosan. We stayed for two nights. I guess we got what we paid for. Being so close to Khaosan Rd, it got a bit noisy at night with drunk folk walking along the street. The place is safe and clean, meals were ok, and the staff friendly. I have to say, the Baan Chart isn't cheap compared to other Khaosan accommodations but it makes up for it in location, street value, and cleanliness. On the other hand, there are similar properties in the area that offer the same quality but in a quieter environment.

Great location near Kaosan Road”
Last time we were in Bangkok we noticed Baan Chart and decided to stay there this time. Were not dissappointed, really enjoyed our stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Loved the rooftop pool. Very close to Kaosan Road so this was very good for shopping and dining. We thought it might be a bit noisy but it wasn't. Would deffinatley stay here again

Slightly disappointing but overall a nice hotel”
Overall the Baan Chart Hotel provided a pleasant stay for us, however, I don't feel like it was good value for money. The swimming pool was under maintenance for the entire stay - one of the main reasons I booked this hotel - and the breakfast choice was limited - I had expected a buffet. The room itself was clean and comfortable, though rather small for two people I felt. The bathroom was pleasant although the shower not very powerful. The rooms are cleaned everyday which is nice. There is no kind of service offered to help get your bags up to your room, except for the receptionist who took my smallest bag and marched off whilst I was left struggling with my much heavier luggage. The WiFi is terrible - it's a sign in on a webpage jobby and was constantly disconnecting and requiring you to sign in again, very frustrating! For one whole day there I could not connect to the WiFi at all. Overall I would say that the Baan Chart is a nice hotel and certainly well located but there are issues that I feel need addressing and really believe some sort of compensation should have been given for the lack of pool access - at the minimum they should have arranged use of another hotel's pool.

Live music & rustic ambience ”
First time staying at Khaosan area, very lively and happening. I have enjoyed my 3 nights stay at Baan Chart, twin room. The room although not really big, it doesn't feel cramped and toilet is pretty clean. It would be great if they could provide at least a disposable slippers because after entering the room with shoes on, I felt awkward walking on barefoot, especially after bath. Staff is quite attentive, friendly and very helpful. Lots of food in the vicinity, and a lot more drinking bars/pubs. Food at the hotel courtyard restaurant is pretty decent and acceptable pricing. For breakfast there's american style and local thai style to choose from. If your stay doesn't include free breakfast, american style breakfast cost only 295baht, includes slice of toast, bacon, sausage, 2 eggs and some greens. Light sleeper who is sensitive to sound not recommended as the music doesn't stop until maybe 3am? It doesn't bother me though and I slept really well. Grand palace and other attractions are nearby, around 15mins by foot. Getting to Central World mall by taxi costs less than 200baht by meter, and usually the taxi driver will ask for 200baht without meter, about 20mins drive. Taxi from hotel to BKK airport is less than 300baht by meter, additional 75baht toll fees using expressway. BKK to hotel is within 500baht, including 75baht toll fees and some airport fees. Takes around 30mins.

FANTASTIC LOCATION”
I always choose Khao San area as I buy silver when in BKK. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed in the area. Loved it so central to everything - I will only stay at the Baan Chart in future

Happening Area”
We've never stay near Grand Palace before so decided to try Baan Chart. We are both light sleeper, the music at the bar/restaurant keep playing until midnight. For the price, the room size is considered not big. There's a street beside which will be very happening at night, many restaurants & massage places. They're using Loccitane shampoo, shower gel & lotion, we even got a small gift of loccitane during check out.

Nice location, convenient”
Ok, it's Khao San.. so there are a ton of budget hotels available to choose from. I had not stayed at Baan before, so decided to "splurge" and give it a try. The room was very nice, with refrigerator and water kettle, and limited wet bar.. The tile floor was quite decorative.. I really loved the bed and the 4 pillows. The bathroom was nicely laid out, but it also had the one negative point that stood out. This is a new hotel and they've obviously put a lot of money and effort into the rooms. But the shower head was of extremely cheap quality and design and literally fell apart the first time I took a shower. To the hotel's credit they quickly changed it out, but it just struck me as weird that they would spend so much money on decorative tile and then outfit the shower with a cheaply made shower head. They should have a rain-forest shower head in that bathroom.. Also, the door only has a hard key lock. Therefore, the security is minimal, although CCTV cameras are located all around. But it just seems very little attention was paid to providing quality hotel, and especially electronic, door keys. Other than that, it was a great stay, and it's location between Khao San and Rambuttri puts it out of the way of the general noise in the area (but music from the "FUBAR" next door could be heard).. Again.. it's Khao San.. if you want quiet, stay elsewhere.. Also, I did eat several meals there.. They were priced on the steep side, but the quality was good. However, portion sizes were smaller than justified by the price. Plenty of other places nearby to eat.. And for the fast food types, there's a 24 hour BK downstairs, and a Starbucks as well.. Again.. I would stay there again, but for the money I think there are better choices. Bring the prices down and they will get my return business.

Great spot, clean and comfy ”
We stayed for 3 nights when we arrived in Bangkok. The hotel has really nice rooms and a cool roof top pool for cooling after a day in Bangkok. Hotel is in a great spot right near khaosan road but wasn't overly loud for where it is! Lovely place would return here !

Excellent boutique hôtel in great location”
I booked this hotel on the last minute (2 days before) and received a great rate on Agoda. I had been travelling throughout Vietnam and Cambodia, and the heat was oppressive, so one of my stipulations was finding a reasonably priced clean hotel in a good location with a pool. This hotel met all expectations and then some. Being American, having a Starbucks in the lobby was also a plus. My husband liked that there was a Burger King in the lobby. The rooms were clean and new. The bathroom was huge, and there were always 4 free bottles of drinking water in the room. The location is one block from Khao San Road, making it extremely convenient to nightlife, street food and market shopping. I worried that it's proximity to Khao San and being location on a main highway would make it very noisy, but it was not. We were also able to walk to the Grand Palace and Wat Po, which was an easy 1 mile. River taxi was only about a 5 min. walk. WiFi was free and available in the rooms and at the pool. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Bangkok.

Lovely place to stay in Bangkok”
One road away from Khaosan road makes it a great place to stay, away from the business of Bangkok but next to it if that's what you're looking for. Lovely and well decorated room, quite spacious, the best bathrooms we have found in our journey around Thailand. The restaurant offers nice quality food for a good price. The swimming pool area is just perfect! I wouldn't of thought of a better place to stay in Bangkok. Highly recommend it

Ended our trip back in Bangkok”
So we started our tour of Thailand in Bangkok at another hotel, and decided to end it back here so we were closer to Khoa San Road. We're we close alight! If you like the party lively scene than this place is perfect for you. Khoa San road is literally next door. For us catching our flight at 3am was ideal when you can hear the club music going right on the other side of our bathroom wall...and it is LOUD! I'm all about the music, but this was a tad bit too much when your walls are rattling, and you can hear the DJ yelling "now everybody scream...put your hands up". The decor is cute and antique-Ish with a modern twist to it. The door to the room is more like closet shutter doors. It was clean though. The Internet was HORRIBLE!!! When I mean horrible I mean super bad! It loses connection every like 5 minutes. You are constantly reconnecting. The restaurant downstairs had good food, but go around the corner to Khoa San Road for a lot cheaper. There's a Starbucks downstairs, and live music the nights we were there. All in all a good experience, and the hotel arranged our taxi to the Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) for 500 baht.

A bit pricey and loud”
The Baan Chart is looked on the main road perpendicular to Khao San. Which means it will get traffic, whereas Khao San has people traffic. It has a U shape so all rooms are going to hear the noise. Luckily with the air conditioner this is blocked out a bit . I booked the hotel thinking I would use the pool, but it's really just a plunge pool and therefore not really usable. The breakfast was good, the design was good. The price however is high for what you get, but this is likely to make sure there is a different clientele here. If I would stay again I would pick a different hotel.

Great hotel with amazing staff”
A great hotel near khaosan road but no noise at all. The reception staff is very helpfull and nice. For breakfast we ate thai food and it was very oily.. that was a bit disappoining. The rooms look much bigger on the photos. But big bathroom and comfortable beds.

Nice hotel, great staff and location”
Overall this is a good hotel which I recommend. Me and my wife stayed there for 2 nights to see the main attractions in bangkok - and it's maybe 5 minutes walk to the Khao San, 20 minutes walk to the king palace. We also took longer walks to China Town and to the flower markets, but even if you take a tuk-tuk or a taxi it's still close enough. We did not have breakfast in the hotel, although the bar looks nice, but expensive more than most restaurant nearby (typical). The only two bad things I can say are that the room door looked a bit cheap and non-standard (it's a door with 2 'parts'), and there is quite a lot of noise from outside at night, but that's because it's a main area with pubs, bars, loud music etc... We paid a bit more than we expected, but overall great hotel.
