Resort to this resort!”

We have been to Chaweng on many occasions and have stayed at various hotels and resorts along the beach. What attracted us to this resort is the fabulous swimming location as the water is just too shallow further up the beach across from the little island so as much as we have enjoyed our stays at other places, we didn't want to feel all hot and bothered traipsing up and down the beach to go swimming! The Baan Chaweng Beach Resort and Spa was everything we hoped for in terms of friendliness, location, maintenance: quality in every respect and we would gladly recommend it. Tiny niggles (hard pillows, dim lighting in room, hard to get at shampoo/conditioner/lotion due to poor plastic bottle shape and elevator music at breakfast) but these are minor compared to good points:)

In the centre of Chaweng Beach”

Location and setting

Baan Chaweng's location is hard to beat. Everything is in walking distance from the resort that you could ever want, from shopping to restaurants, nightlife and activities. The hotel is located right on the beach, with a quality restaurant overlooking the ocean. The resort has a very tranquil and relaxing feel about it, with very nice tropical gardens and a lovely pool setting. The rooms are good quality with all the mod cons and a large ensuite, with a shower big enough for four. Our stay included breakfast, which is a large buffet from 0630 - 1030, covering those who like to get up early or prefer to sleep in. The beach is itself consists of several kilometres of soft white sand, with a diversity of restaurants to choose from. Its magnificent at night, sitting in an outdoor restaurant on the beach, taking in the lights over the water (very romantic). We have now been to Baan Chaweng Beach Resort three times and have enjoyed every trip.

Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa”

The hotel is good, and is characterized by intimate atmosphere and is very suitable for the climate of the family. Existence shopping center Kirb seven eleven
I do not think that there is a disadvantage

baan chaweng beach resort & spa very comfortable for the lack of complications when a simple and seamless access to every facility where the reception and corridors filled with squabbling and Allenbaat and flowers like living in a protected Tieip Wood swimming pool near the sea and the hotel also provides massage on the beach. Breakfast near the beach and there is a good diversification of the menu . chaweng beach road is located a street encompasses a lot of fast food and fine dining restaurants and Akeshash Sell Massage & Spa. The hotel is so I hope he come back for him again.

excellent, great value for money”

location, quality, service

Our stay was great! The location of the hotel is incredible - it is in the heart of Chaweng and near a multitude of bars and restaurants as well as the major shopping areas and numerous local spas as the hotel one is quite pricey in comparison. Personally, i think going out into the road and getting a massage at a local spa is much more sensible than at the hotel spa which is on the beach with minimal privacy and very overpriced. I liked "Hi-Class Spa" which is a little way down the road (Chaweng) and where i received a great (and very professional) massage for a very reasonable price. Koh Samui is a great place to party and if you want to enjoy the nightlife, this hotel is the place for you. Chaweng is very the main attractions are and this hotel is close to all the major bars and restaurants. In addition, many bars which are further away provide free shuttle from Chaweng road (just outside the hotel) such as Bar Ice (which is a great place to visit, btw). The beaches at Samui are beautiful and the one at this hotel is as well - it was clean, pristine and there were a lot of activities - we rented a jet ski right on the beach for about 30 mins and people also parasailed and rented boats, etc. The rooms are cleaned every day and we generally had no problems with hygiene. The breakfast was not incredibly extensive but it certainly had everything you would need or want - omelette station, eggs done in other ways, bacon, sausages, potatoes, bread, pastries, juice, fruit, asian option... The only drawback here is that wifi is not free and so you need to buy wifi (not too expensive but still) or go to near by bars and cafes and use their wifi (which we often did wihtout a hassle). Location rocks - i fell sick and we were so close to the pharmacy which was well equipped and where the pharmacist prescribed medicine which solved the problem quickly. We could also walk everywhere and save on transportation. I recommend taking a day trip and visiting other islands

what a great place to stay”

Nice pool Plenty of loungers affordable food and drink
You can't swim in the pool after 6pm at night which is very early. Would be nice if they could leave it open until at least 8pm or 9pm.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at the Baan Chaweng Beach Resort & Spa Samui. We were pleasantly surprised on arrival to learn that the delux villa we have booked was not available but that we ahd been upgaded x2 to a beach front villa. We walked into our room to find the bed decorated with rose petals and we could see the ocean from our room. What we most enjoyed was the good value of this resort. We considered the price reasonable for the christmas period and perhaps what was most enjoyable was the fact that the food and drink prices were very reasonable. We ate both lunch and dinner at the resort on several occassions and it is nice to be able to have a drink from the minibar without worrying that it would cost a fotune. This resort is right in the middle of chaweng beach and wasn't too noisey at all. Overall a brilliant mid range resort and we would be happy to stay there again.

White Sandy Beach with Crystal Clear Sea”

We loved lazing on the resort's beach chairs which were under a few big shady trees. The sand on the beach was so fine & comfortable to step on. Sea water was so clear and many small fishes could be seen. The resort has a matured landscape which provide a relaxing environment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would like to commend Ms Rungrat at the front desk for helping us to get permission from her Manager for free upgrade to deluxe room as our superior room's air con was not cold enough. The resort is very near (walking distance) to Central Festival Market which has an air-con food court, supermarket and many nice shops. Also very near to McDonalds & Burger King fast food restaurants. We would love to go back to Baan Chaweng Beach Resort again!

So Relaxing”

The beach and the shops near by

Probably the best accommodation out of the seven or so we had in our three week trip through Thailand/Malaysia/Singapore in the Xmas New Year period. Not the most luxurious nor the largest nor the most expensive but probably the most comfortable. It was the only one where we really wanted to stay a couple of days more. The location is just superb ! It has the beach front location to the best beach in Koh Samui. Our group had a beach front villa and another villa a bit further back. With the beachfront unit we could see and hear the waves of the beach but the non-beach front unit was just as good in our opinion as the landscaping was just fantastic. Not luxurious but in interesting good taste. We would save the money next time and have the non-beach front. Equally good was the fact that best shopping and eateries in Koh Samui was a short walk out of the hotel driveway. We woke up early to watch the sunrise and brisk walk up and down the beach. Short nap for a while after breakfast, watched the people lounging on the hotel provided seats on the beach, went out for shopping and lunch, came back for afternoon nap, went out for dinner, enjoyed cocktails and so on. Not exciting on paper but surprisingly relaxing and comforting in practice. Breakfast is nothing to write home about but quite okay. The majority of the staff were excellent. I can still hear the "Sawadee ka" and "kopcoon kup" ringing in my ears from my memory of the resort. I had booked a rental car but cancelled it because there was no need and instead booked a half day tour with a local driver for the same money. We utilised the services of Mr Samui who was just as friendly as advertised even if a bit pre-occupied with his burgeoning business.

Situated on the best beach and close to everything

once again we stayed at baan chaweng beach resort & spa with no regrets at all. we loved the beach, the staff, the position - so near to everything. the superior building rooms were fantastic. we're not in our rooms much anyway but when we were they were all that we expected. we had an extra bed for our daughter and still had plenty of room. i loved the verandah too. we needed to totally relax on this holiday - and we did. i would definately recommend this resort. i'm going back again next year.

Exceptional”

I travelled with a friend. We chose a grand deluxe villa which was well worth the extra money. Our bungalow overlooked the pool and the bar and was a few seconds from the beach. The location of the resort is brilliant. It's right in the middle of chaweng beach and high street so very central for everything. Ark Bar and the Shisha bar are about three doors down so a short walk if you want some beach party night life. This is where most people go after midnight until about 2am. We travelled around the island. Car hire is very cheap and you can drive around it easily in a day which includes stopping off at all the scenic places. We spent our first 5 days at Lamai which was very quiet. The beach and sea is not as nice as chaweng. We didn't swim in the sea at lamai at all. We moved to chaweng and much preferred it. On the whole koh Samui tourism seems to be down. We only booked 4 nights accommodation from the UK then booked the rest of our stay when we got there which worked well.

My island paradise”

Relaxing natural setting right on the beach

This was my fourth stay at Bann Chaweng Beach resort. The staff greeted me with a cheerful 'welcome home sir'. And I truly felt as if I was at home. I stayed in a superior building room on the first floor. My room was large and comfortable with a huge balcony. All the comforts of home were included. A short stroll through the tropical gardens down to the restaurant set right on the beach is perfect for relaxing while enjoying excellent food and drinks. Included in my room booking was an invitation to the New Years Eve Gala dinner and entertainment. I had a fantastic night watching the traditional Thai dancing and some of the best food you could find anywhere in Thailand. I have already booked my next holiday at Baan Chaweng Resort...I can't wait

Great hotel in an excellent location”

Excellent location! Great rooms!

Had a great stay in Baan Chaweng Beach Resort. Its location is excellent, ideally located right on the beach and centrally located on the main street, steps away from the bars and stores and restaurants. The room was clean, spacious and very quiet, with a beautiful veranda and garden. However, the water in the shower is very slow and annoying. Breakfast was nice, and the staff very friendly and happy to assist. The only defect: WiFi was terrible. I paid 200 Baht for 150 minutes, rather expensive compared to internet cafe in the main street, but the connection in my room was terribly weak. So I asked for a refund, got my money back, and stepped into some internet cafe for a better connection.

Located right on the beach / good size rooms and service / lots of restaurants nearby
No real dislikes.

Baan Chaweng Beach Resort is located right on the beach with easy access to the shopping, nightlife and restaurant on the main street which are a short walk up the laneway to the main road of Chaweng. The beach is great for swimming, with access to all the watersports activities you could desire including jet ski's, parasailing, water skiing or you can just laze around. There is also snorkelling off the rocks with some coral and fish to view, great for the kids as you can hand feed some fish in water around waist deep. The beach also has a great selection of restaurants with most placing there tables out of the sand at night, very romantic. This really is a nice place to stay.

A close stroll to everything.
No cons

The Baan Chaweng Beach Resort was very nice in every way. Price, food, room service, he beach, jetskiing, not too crowded. I would have liked a lanai with a little more privacy. The free breakfast was good and lasts till 10:30..The staff is very attentive and goes that extra yard to make your stay enjoyable.I think it's one of the nicer hotels on the beach.Room service is cheap and almost makes it unnecessary to go out to eat if you would rather not.

Great location - Wonderful staff”

Loved this place and Samui generally. From the room we had a walk of less that 50m to the pool and the beach. Reception booked motor cycles for us and tours can be arranged on site. What impressed me the most however was the efforts being made by the staff to keep the resort immaculate. Gardeners, cleaners were out every day cleaning up leaves attending to lawns etc. The only minor issue at Baan Chaweng is the planes coming into land. Took a bit of getting used to seeing a 737 just above your head..... This issue however is common to all resorts in the area. In Summary its a great place I will return!
