With individual cottages, the hotel will make you feel miles away from the Thai capital. Yet, set by a fishing pond, Baan Chay Namm Resort is just minutes from the international airport. The location makes this an excellent transit hotel, either between flights or a drive further down to one of the resort towns. You can also visit nearby attractions such as the Crocodile Farm, Safari World, and shopping malls such as Seacon Square and Fashion Island. If you have the time, you can also make a quick trip to the downtown area. Baan Chay Namm Resort is a different kind of a transit hotel with a location that makes you feel away from the city while still being in it.

Country Stay Close to Bsngkok”
This is a beautiful and relaxing resort about 20 miles from the center of Bangkok in a secluded area with lakes and serenity. I enjoyed my stay here, the room was a separate small Thai style house that was clean, air conditioned and comfortable and the staff was very polite and efficient. This property is better suited however for Bangkok residents who want to get away from the City without going far than it is for tourists. It's too remote, too far from the center of town and too secluded for tourists, but if you want a peaceful, beautiful and very inexpensive place to escape the noise of pollution of the city, this is a great choice.
First time trying this”
The hotel is very new, just operated about 3 months and everything are good. If you required their transport from the airport, it is best to get their phone numbers from agoda first as you need to call them to arrange once you arrived. Very relaxing place and no plane sound. Enjoy your trip.
Great location and great rooms plus service”
Everything was perfect with the exception of the hard matress, but that is a problem all over Asia. Breakfast a bit too restricted (only eggs and bacon) and the coffee too weak. Still, very much recommended.
Lovely unique place to stay”
we arrived quite late at night, long after sunset, so were unfortunately unable to see the resort in daylight. the two thai ladies who greeted us were very friendly and polite but could speak very little english. this was by no means a negative reflection of the resort generally, and we were soon referred to who we gathered to be the resort owner who could speak better english. we were shown to our rooms and were impressed by the spaciousness and cleanliness of each room. we had a balcony overlooking what we assumed was a small lake, but with it being dark throughout our stay (we departed before sunrise the following day) we were unable to appreciate our views. we enjoyed a very well prepared meal of fried rice in the evening. the staff at the resort were very helpful. we would consider staying at this resort again.
decent alternative to an airport hotel”
It's further from the airport than I thought and cost 200B in a taxi. It's a quiet place set around a pond full of fish. Our chalet was a little dusty and there was blood on one of our towels, so we used our own. You need to bring your own food though because there was nothing available when we arrived at 9pm and the 'breakfast' was just spam & toast which left us hungry all morning. We went looking for a restaurant nearby but there's nothing and the few stalls we found were all closed. We ended up just going back to the airport to find some food!
secluded and private location near airport”
only stayed two nights while waiting to depart thailand. friendly staff who arranged an afternoon trip to bangkok for us and were more than helpful with our requirement for a very early morning departure. a simple menu consisting mainly of thai dishes which were well-prepared and delivered to our room.
Great chalet style room but far from the airport”
owner does not speak good english. airport pick-up was not well organized. i notified the hotel very well in advance and nobody met me at the airport. i called several and due to poor level of english, there was not much of a communication. after waiting for over an hour, i took a cab there myself. the hotel is too far to be justified as an airport hotel. the cab driver got lost a couple of times (genuinely). room was nice - chalet style, overlooking a lake, very peaceful with country atmosphere. owners are very welcoming. food was basic. dropped off efficient.
Fifth visit to this wonderful place.”
We will always keep coming back to Baan Chay Namm. We love this place. We have a truck so are able to get around. if you want a clean room, friendly hosts and peace and quiet then don't hesitate to stay..
very surprised that's a nice area w/ nice pond view, clean n neat, staff r very polite, good price, I will go again as it's really romantic, just too far away, dont forget to call driver to pick up fm airport
Secluded and very relaxing”
The resort is very beautiful and quiet. the staff is very friendly and accomodating. The internet is good, but wireless. The food is good, but only tha, but very reasonable and clean. Overall a great experience. Well worth the money. It does takes about 20 minutes to the airport, but only about 150 baht trip.. nice people.
Serve's a purpose”
We stayed one night here, after arriving from Australia at 1am. A hotel pick up was included in the rate, but it was never clear through Agoda if the pick up would be there or not. Agoda said to contact the hotel directly, but there was no phone number on Agoda, or the Hotels website. We eventually had to get this directly off Agoda when trying to confirm the pick up. As we were arriving so late and just wanted to get to bed, we wanted to be certain that someone would be there or not. As such, it was no surprise that no one was there on arrival, and with no coins / mobile phone it proved difficult to ring. Eventually someone rang, and the Hotel turned up ~20mins after that (ie about an hour after arrival). We had asked for a Cot for our 21 month old son, but nothing was set up upon arrival. When we asked, about the cot, they ended up just bringing a mattress down to put on the floor. Having arrived so late, we were also looking forward to a long sleep in. Unfortunately the curtains were very thin, and with the white interiors it made for a bright room and no chance of a sleep in. That said, the room was tastefully decorated (surprising given the price), and the bed (King) was very comfortable, and the airconditioning was very very effective (good when overnight lows were 31 degrees)!. The place was very quiet too. Despite no apology about not being there when we arrived, the staff were very polite and friendly, and happily rung our Limo / Taxi (at no charge) to get them to come early. Breakfast was fairly basic, but when you look at how much they normally charge for it, you can see why. Each of the villas were stand alone, and the location over the pond was fairly peaceful, so makes for a good quick stay somewhere close to the airport.
good value all round”
It is obsolete ideal for people staying overnight between one flight and the other Get the hotel phone number to arrange for transfer in case they are not there, they will turn up promptly. I have actually stayed there for four days and the friendliness and helpfulness of the owner and staff more for make up for the basic amenities plus the place is very new therefore clean and well maintained
quiet paradise so near Bangkok.”
hired a car and picked it up at Suvarnabhumi Airport. Nice 20 minute drive to the hotel. We were very pleasantly surprised on arrival at the friendly and welcoming demeanour of the staff and the situation, size and cleanliness of the bungalows. it turned out to be exactly what we wanted, peace and quiet within driving distance of everything we needed. I cannot speak higher praise of this small family run resort, we have now returned for a second time after being so impressed and will continue to do so. just a couple of words of warning; only come here if you are wanting to relax and enjoy peace and quiet (even after the plane stacking due to the volcanic ash there was no aircraft noise, just a nice breeze..) and the hotel location on the agoda map is a few kilometres out of place, so do not rely on a printout to show a taxi driver if they are not employed by the hotel. all in all, for us, a 30 something aged couple, we give here 10 out of 10.
Best Resort in my Thai Trip”
Very nice setting in rural area, not far from Bangkok international airport, Friendly staff, quiet indivisual unit for privacy with private balcony, almost brand new facilities, reasonable room rate, free wireless internet, Perfect almost everything, nice pond view restaurant, comfortable like home away home, thanks Baan Chay Namm Resort staff
Fancy Thai contry style hotel!”
It was 20 min. distance from the airport with free transportation. It was family operated warm house with very friendly people. And impressed with Thailand country style. All the facilities were quite new. After dark, there's nothing around and very quiet. It was great rest for us after energetic city stay. Recommend stop-over before the early morning flight!
All in all, this is just what we were looking for - a quiet place to relax (not too far from the airport) after a VERY long flight. The young lady who seems to always be working in the lobby/restaurant area is exceptional - very friendly, efficient and helpful. The Baan Chay Namm is located in a small village area so if you're looking for excitement - this won't be the area for you. However, it was just what we needed - peace and quiet. Lovely individual cabins that I found to be exactly as shown on the webiste. We plan a stop at the Baan Chay Namm before our return flight. Lovely!
Airport hotel ”
The hotel was clean and quiet . The staff were nice and the view was nice. It was too difficult to communicate with the hotel before arrival. Also the manager was misinformed about the airport check in time and I missed my flght
Quiet and Peaceful”
We used the Baan Chay Namm for two days of recovery having just arrived at the airport. Perfect, peaceful, picturesque, good Thai food on room service or at the restaurant. Close to the airport but we never heard a plane. I mean quiet. No disturbances. The room is well presented and the bathroom is good with a wet-room style shower.
We spent only one night here as we were just passing through Bangkok. We hadn't made proper arrangements for the shuttle to pick us up so we took a taxi and had some difficulties. The hotel is out of the way and the taxi driver couldn't find it - we drove in circles for quite some time - if you have to use a taxi make sure you have a map and the phone number of the hotel. We did finally arrive and spent a pleasant afternoon and evening. The cabins are furnished quite simply but are clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and the food was very good. We had an early flight and they ensured that someone was on hand to drive us to the airport which is only about 20 minutes away. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a place to relax between flights.
Nice stop-over hotel”
The hotel hotel is located in the middle of a rural area near the airport (15 minutes by car), next to a small village. The tropical surroundings are very peaceful. The hotel is pretty new, the rooms are nice and clean. Each bungalow has a small terrace with a fantastic view of the lush greenery around the hotel. The staff is extremly friendly, but not everybody speaks english. The staff wanted to make our stay in the hotel as comfortable as possible: even though we didn't ask for it, the pond fountain was switched on during dinner just for us (as the only guests that night). Before the transfer to the airport at 6 a.m. the entire staff was trying to make our departure as nice as possible by serving complimentary coffee and by switching on the TV to a european channel, again even though we didn't ask for it. The transfer to the airport was quick (15 minutes) and the driver was very friendly. All in all a great place to stay for a night near the airport.
