Love the place”
A room is clean and well maintenance. Staying as a family with 8 months old baby is good enough for overnight reason. A/C looks a bit outdated but works very well, no problem at all. Location wise is close to many delicious restaurant/street food. If you are local people you can park a car at Wat Ratchanadda and about 5 mins walk to the hotel. Staffs is very helpful and friendly!!

Charming small B & B”
I traveled with 2 friends in Bangkok for a few sweltering hot days before moving on to Burma. We arrived at Baan Dinso at 2:15 a.m. to a friendly greeting and spotless rooms with air-conditioning that kicked in quickly. The bathroom in my deluxe room was spacious and well lit by milky skylight panels and two frosted windows. There were no tissues in the room, and the small, short glasses were too small to hold toothbrush, razor, etc. Two bath towels but no hand towel or washcloth, which seems to be typical in small hotels. It's an old wooden house with beautiful wood floors throughout. They ask you to leave your shoes in the courtyard and go barefoot or in socks inside. The courtyard is covered in blue-and-white tiles with a gentle wall fountain on one side, greenery, and big floor fans to provide a welcome breeze. Breakfast is wonderful, including fresh fruit with each of the three menu choices and excellent coffee. Baan Dinso is located two short turns off a trafficked street, which means it's quiet but also that many taxes don't know where it is. You'll definitely need the handy provided map. It's not an affluent area -- one of the three windows in my room overlooked tin roofs -- but it's colorful, authentic, and real, and inhabited by scruffy semi-feral cats, one of whom liked to perch on the green Baan Dinso sign just outside the courtyard gate. It's close to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, National Museum, National Gallery, and river ferry stops, all within a short walk or relatively expensive tuk- tuk ride (metered taxis are cheap and air-conditioned). Staff were wonderful, called taxis for us and even helped us flag down taxis. Definitely good value for money.

Lovely boutique hotel in a Thai colonial house”
I stayed at Baan Dinso for 7 nights (December 16-23) and I loved every moment of it. The house is located on a side alley from the Baan Dinso Road and it is very easy to find thanks to the green signs and the alley entrance itself being flanked by two 7Eleven supermarkets. The location of Baan Dinso is excellent for those who wish to reach the Grand Palace and main temples, as well as the Khaoson Road (where the party is) on foot. Everything is within 15-25 minutes walk from Baan Dinso. The wooden house is very charming, clean and stylish, with a cute patio. The rooms, hallway and shared bathrooms are very clean and well maintained. Staff was wonderful throughout my stay; they spoke English and provided an excellent service with a smile. A beautiful Thai smile that is. Lovely boutique hotel!

wonderful, wonderful, wonderful”
we only had 2 nights here at this delightful boutique hotel, though i wish we could have stayed longer. the location is superb! located off baan dinso road down a small alleyway, khao san road is a short walk away for those seeking a party atmosphere. the rooms were deluxe, with ac, a comfortable bed, impeccable bathroom, polished wooden floors and best of all it was oh-so-quiet. there is a plethora of sensational street food stalls in the area, as well as very cool bars and restaurants. the staff were extremely helpful, providing us with maps of the area and greater bangkok (complete with instructions in thai for taxi drivers). the water taxi down the canal is a 2 minute walk away, which is an economical (and fast) alternative to a regular taxi. i fell in love with this hotel and its great location and will definitely return!

a good time in a renovated wooden house”
I was looking for a quiet place to relax and get a different mood from my Bangkok home for a few nights, and Baan Dinso could fulfill all my expectations. Converted from an old wooden house, this boutique hostel can deliver the history and culture of the house and the neighborhood through its cozy atmosphere. The staff was attentive and helpful. I had no problem with the shared bathroom on the first floor, which was clean and safe. The hostel was great for its price and everything it offered. I'll definitely return to stay here.

Wonderful oasis of tranquility”
Baan Dinso is a lovely place to stay in the old city. Five minutes walk from Khao San road, but much nicer place to stay away from the din. Also very walkable to the old city Wats and National Museum, and to the river boats (10 minutes). Would thoroughly recommend. Rooms are nice, and elegant, compared to bog standard hotels, it has some charm. Breakfasts were lovely sat outside with fans. Staff couldn't have been more helpful and the free wifi was great. I would definitely go there again if visiting Bangkok.

Perfect stay”
It was so nice and quiet at Baan Dinso and I felt so "at home" that I had to prolongue my stay (-: Staff is very friendly, the location is central. Small Thinges like for e.g. that the TV on the room didn't work was not hat important to me. Try the Thai breakfast, the soup is excellent. Short walking distance to Khaosan Road, Democracy Monument, Wat Suthat, etc.

Lovely hostel with friendly and helpful staff ”
The hostel is not easy to find at night and especially when your taxi driver is not familiar with the area. Actually the location is quite good and very close to the democracy monument. The hostel staff are very friendly and helpful ant that is a big plus of the lovely hostel. Breakfast are simple but nice and delicious. Decoration and design are very impressive. I enjoyed my stay there and would definitely think about Baan Dinso (pencil house) again for my future trip to Bangkok.

Refuge from the hustle and bustle”
I got to know 3 of the staff at Baan Dinso very well, and they made me feel right at home. The room was comfortable, and just the right size. My fare included breakfast, and it was a pleasant morning interlude by the fountain outside. I liked Dinso Rd., Wat Sutthat and Khao San Rd. nearby. If you require swimming pool, bellboy and breakfast buffet, this hotel is not for you. For me, it has an intrinsic quality unmatched by such hotels, could I go so far as to describe as an oasis?

Our sweet home in bangkok!!”
Baan dinso is in the alley of"dinso rd." very near to the democracy monument. it will be better if you give taxi drivers a print-out map from their website. Almost the best hostel i have ever stayed, very nice service and environment, even the cat named "carbu" is very friendly!! we stayed in a double-room on the second floor for three days, and it was very relaxing and feeling just like in my own house.

Best spot to stay to me”
This was the 6th visit to here. Whenever i come to bkk, i stay at baan dinso. Places such as siam, asok, and so on are not easy to move because traffic jam. If you are the type of person who don’t prefer to spend time shopping, I think this is quite good place for stay. You can have breakfast for free and go to famous spot like great palace, wat-arun and kaosan. (I did like to have street noodle. The owner was working with her daughter. You can find the place filled with tables abd chairs in front of jewerly shop when you cross the main street. I don’t know the name of the noodle so you can just say “noodle please”.) Although there is not a pool and you have to use public bathroom if you are not use deluxe room, it is worth to stay here. The fare is reasonable and even you can enjoy local area in quiet area.

Lovely surprise in Bangkok”
While finding the Baan Dinso is a challenge for taxis and tuk-tuks, this little gem of a b&b off Democracy Memorial is a little oasis in the big city. A restored, lovely wooden house, there is a lot of character to the building, the courtyard has a fountain and lily pad pool that sets the stage for arrival. I stayed in a deluxe room and all the appointments, bed, shower etc were clean and lovely. They provide free snacks and water in room and an adequate breakfast. Great bargaiin! The staff was incredibly helpful. There is a little outside noise from fighting cats and dogs in the neighborhood at night but not terribly disruptive.

Amazing gem ”
This place was hard to find at first because google maps pulls up the Baan Dinso 2. After finding the hotel, it was perfect. The place was very clean, quiet and safe. The staff was extremely friendly and the breakfast was delicious! It was only a short walk to the khao San Road and there was an awesome food market close by. I highly recommend the waffle stand. Overall, great hotel, location and staff. I would stay here again.
